Yay! A DV review! Always looking forward to your great pics Thanks! Furno's on my buy list.
-
Don't mind me asking again, but I don't see how Rotor's 'biohazard gas attack' affects the Heroes. Oh, and that comic is bad. Really. I love Bionicle in that style, but HF just looks pure ugly.
-
Agreed. It's not that visible like Stars Skrall, even if you manage to see it, it won't be obvious and look bad. Meh. I really can't decide. My decisions are changing every day on which set to get - right now it's Bulk & Vapour.
-
Well, he does have to look good for a magazine.
-
I don't know what to say. The detail on those engines is just... Stunning.
-
It's only a matter of time before someone makes an MOC out of this.
-
Let's just stick to it hurts the Heroes somehow. Alright, buying list confirmed. I'm getting Furno, Meltdown, and Nebula. Unless Rotor convinces me otherwise.
-
I agree. I totally agree. Probably one of the best sites Lego has made. My question still isn't answered. How does Meltdown's radioactive sludge affect robots?
-
Then there'd be no point with Corroder. I like how Meltdown has a hand in that ad instead of his 'radioactive sludge shooter'.
-
Could someone explain to me what exactly are the effects on radioactive sludge on mechanical beings? I understand there're humans in the HF world, but I'd think that Meltdown would be battling more Heroes (and as such, robots) rather than humans, no? What'd be the use of the radioactive sludge then?
-
Excuse me, Vertea, but where did you get the picture of Meltdown that's in your sig?
-
I just had a look at the instructions. Vapour and Von Nebula were disappointing... I really don't know which set I should get now. I guess it's all up to the storyline. The villains that impress me the most, I will get.
-
I know this isn't relevant, but I lol'd. Anyway, where are you people getting all this information about the storyline (Xplode, Rotor, etc) and all? And where did that picture come from? The HF site? I guess I'm too lazy to browse around it a bit. Anyway, now that I've seen the instructions, I can't decide between Meltdown and Xplode. I'm not a MOCist, but still, even though Meltdown looks better on a whole compared to Xplode, he doesn't have enough new pieces that look significant on him. Get what I mean? The tanks on his shoulders are really small. Plus, Xplode looks kinda badass. Or maybe I should skip both and get Bulk & Vapour. I don't know if I love or hate Vapour - everything about him is great except for his feet. The Piraka clawed feet really look out of place compared to his body as a whole, which is really robotic. At least Meltdown and Corroder got away with it because their faces give a slight hint of being organic, but Rotor's mask screams robotic to me. Bleh.

Great review for a great set? Just how much does this cost?
-
I was planning to get Stringer, but Furno's name change (from Blaze) and the fact that his weapon could attach to his arms like wings/blades make me want him now. I'm probably only getting Furno and Nebula. Bulk & Vapour maybe. And one of the canister villains, if upcoming reviews convince me to.
-
Anyone with that picture showing Furno's blades attached to his arms like wings?
-
Definitely a sale. Even so, I don't remember Mutran & Vican being $35 USD. $20 USD or $25 USD at most.
-
Aha! I knew the Bulk in Bulk & Vapour was referring to Duncan Bulk! I'm quite disappointed with this set, though. On two fronts: 1) Bulk himself. I don't mind the Avtoran jetpack, but Jimi Stringer's weapon? Seriously? I'd rather they give us his regular arm with a melee weapon or something. Or they could do a symmetrical mold of Bulk's original weapon. Or, they could make Stringer's weapon silver. Bleh. 2) I'm quite torn with Vapour. I don't like the fact he's reusing Rotor's mask and Corroder's blades. However, they seem to fit in with his overall aesthetic quite nicely. I don't know if he's badass or he's a mess. I'll wait for better pictures. But seriously, I'd rather spend that $20 on Von Nebula. Or other sets in other lines. Meh.
-
Meh. I wonder why TLG didn't change the grey piece at Corroder's crotch area to black. It looks obscene. On the other hand, Xplode looks worse. The contrast between black and red is so there. Rotor's still looking great, but I still head the hate. So little detail. Where're his eyes? Lovin' Nebula more. But seems TLG still hasn't fixed the problem of all those loose studes...

1 point to lisgr 1 point to LegoLyon 1 point to Plissken Oh and the picture for greg3's Kaseem's Camel Dairy is showing the picture for samuraiturtle's Aheeb's Exotic Fish Stand instead. Could you fix it?
-
Tough choice, but anyway: 1 point to Tereglith. 1 point to Fugazi. 1 point to bricknave.
-
Love the minifigs and the bikers. I don't mind the stickers though. That lime green bike's function is pretty cool. I do wish the black bike had some function to it, though. Nevertheless, this theme is promising. Definitely getting this one.

Reminded me of the scene in TS1 when Sid (is that his name?) messed up the body parts of all his toys

Review (Picture and Video) 8093 Plo Koon's Starfighter
Aethersprite replied to ReZourceman's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I love this set! Thanks for the pics! This set would look pretty good even with the stickers, I like the way Lego did the design on the wings. Plus, Plo Koon's in it! Best CW-style JSF so far, IMO. Since I didn't get Anakin and Ahsoka's, this is definitely mine. -
There's just too many awesome sets this summer - and I like to try out all lines, so it seems this time I can only afford one set for Kingdoms. Great set, but I'm torn between this and the Catapult set. Hmm.
