This is tough! They're all great IMO, but I would have to go with the keffiyeh. I just wish PoP would have more than these 5 sets, then we'd be able to get more awesome new molds.

This is AWESOME! I love it!  The show-accuracy, plus the brickiness of it makes it perfect. Good job! Hopefully Lego gets the license for the live-action movie coming this year, unlikely, though.

Just like the Wookie Attack set, the "cockpit" is just for playability. I'm very sure Lego designers would check on the real thing before designing the set. It's for kids who don't know what the rocket battle droids are for. Great set, but I still haven't got it yet.

I think it'd be better if you waited for HF to be released before writing the installments, so you know the true context of the story. Still, number two is great! Can't wait for your next one.

Awesome. The grammar and vocabulary need a little work, but overall, it's great! You are obliged to continue.

Just got this set an hour ago. Waiting for tomorrow after school to build it, heh heh.

Am I the only one interested in Mark Surge?

That sucks bad. I had wanted to get at least one of the Heroes, but now I think I'd save my money and get the Villains. Another thing: What's that grey piece on Corroder's groin? It looks seriously out of place. Seeing how they improved the set already (just noticed they replaced the Vahki blades with new custom ones!) I hope they fix that. Make it black or something.

Is it me, or does Duncan Bulk's weapon arm look like it's one whole piece? EDIT: After browsing through all the pics, I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed with the Hero sets. They don't look too good to me, despite the good impression I had of them. The Villains, on the other hand, really raised the bar. Though I'm not very happy with ALL their legs, but the overall set looks much better, and the new boxarts are awesome. I'm hooked on Corroder, definitely getting (and modding) him. Still disappointed with Rotor, but Von Nebula's looking real good, better than the old pics we had of him.

That Deep Sea Striker's badass. At $19.99, it's one set I'm definitely getting. The Shark Castle and sub don't disappoint as well - my only resentment is that the orc man only comes in the Shark Castle set, which is really expensive.

Great review! This is the Stars set that I've been looking forward to getting the most, yet it's the only one out of the 3 that I plan to get that I still don't have. I agree with the nostalgic value. For me, my first Bionicle set was a Rahkshi, Vorahk, and I'd be more than happy to have another Rahkshi as my last set.

Am I the only one excited with Plo Koon's Starfighter, the Blade of Dorin? I do hope the prelim's image a prelim image, though a orange or yellow lightsaber for Plo Koon would be cool, but green is just... Horrendous. Please stick to blue, Lego.

Dual REVIEW: 2007 LEGO Star Wars Battle Packs
Aethersprite replied to ILikePi's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Excellent detailed review! I can't wait for the others :) -

Thanks! Review time: Preston Stormer: I don't like his helmet, but his shield/weapon looks cool. William Furno: Helmet reminds me a little of Jaller Inika. Awesome weapon though. Jimi Stringer: Really cool helmet and weapon. Plus, he uses my 2 favourite colors. Best impulse for me :) Natalie Breez: A little insect-like, but cool weapon. But if it's supposed to be a girl... Duncan Bulk: Reminds me of GI Joe xD Another of my favourite alongside Stringer. If he's made up of real silver I'd get him. Mark Surge: Nice weapons, eww helmet. XPlode: Awesome Piraka xD Really cool, loving every part of him except his reused weapons. Best out of the 4. Corroder: So-so. Reminds me of a Vahki. Meltdown: Cliche. But he looks good. Lovin' that single eye. Thunder: Quite okay, nothing special. The only thing that makes him stand out is that he has new weapons compared to the other regular-sized sets. Overall: Not bad by far, it seems we're moving on from the Avtoran body/limbs and Inika torso(FINALLY). What's weird is that the impulse sets all seem to have new parts for weapons, while 3 out of 4 of the bigger sets reuse parts. Bleh. Not commenting on the Titans due to lack of clearer picls. On a side note, my friend told me he'd saw a similar catalog with the HF pics in it while getting Titan Mata Nui just now. The Stars are coming in tomorrow over here in Singapore, so I'll be heading down tomorrow to get them and have a look at the catalog for clearer pics of the Titans. Hopefully I'll be able to get pics.

REVIEW: 8084 Snowtrooper Battle Pack
Aethersprite replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Is it possible for the Snowtroopers to hold on to the handlebars? Anyway, great review! -
Your son is so lucky to have a dad like you. I love it, especially the motorized gates! Also, good idea on showing it as a video, much more efficient than pictures
-
I'm okay with the sets. They look more Bionicle than anything else.

Can Buzz sit down in the back compartment without that little vehicle? I don't like the use of it as a storage space for a random vehicle, so I'll be converting it into a mini command center of sorts when I get this set. Oh, and great review!

By The Fans, For The Fans: The Great Spirit Set
Aethersprite replied to -Tilius-'s topic in LEGO Action Figures
From the lineart, if Lego really is cheap, it's very easy to make one Ben-10 style, albeit with custom parts. -
Yes! Reviews or pics please! I'm excited
