  1. Hilarious! I love it! Especially the way you did the mirror. Poor guy doing his business doesn't know what's coming.
  2. The V-Wing needs some love. I'm a sucker for small starfighters. I remember in the 2010 thread I was one of the only few who were looking forward to Plo Koon's JSF. The V-Wing looks sexy in black and white, definitely a huge improvement over the original. And it goes very well with this year's Palpatine's Shuttle. I'm surprised at the more obscure ships appearing as sets, though. I myself have only seen a few episodes of CWS2, and they look quite foreign to me.
  3. MOC looks a bit messy, but I love the use of tan parts and the staff is awesome.
  4. I've yet to post in this thread, but IMO, Lego: Space is one of the best, if not the best, Lego comics around. The plot is hilarious and it never gets boring. I've been following it for almost a year already, and I anticipate every episode with much enthusiasm. Keep it up, KDog!
  5. As usual, nice review, nice set. Anyway, the use of the red grill for the sub and orange grills for the ATV is to go with the colour scheme of each vehicle's respective minifig driver.
  6. Awesome. I love the use of the Jimi Stringer parts.
  7. Great review, great set. But the price put me off.
  8. Nice. I modded Rotor's rotor (lol) and Thunder's claw the same way you did. Interesting way you did with Meltdown's launcher - I may try that. Except I don't have any black hand piece to spare, only gray ones, so it may turn out different.
  9. I'm still not sure if I should get him, but he's a great set. Nice review as always. IMO, out of any of the Bionicle or HF sets, this guy is more robot than anything.
  10. Very nice indeed! Xplode should have had the forearms of this guy.
  11. Well, it keeps the fans happy. I'm all for it.
  12. Wow. Just wow. While I still don't get what the trailer is about , the stop motion and effects are definitely impressive.
  13. IMO, this is the best set (besides Gali Mistika and the Thornatus) to obtain that fantastic scope. I'm still stuck on whether to get this guy, because Bulk really puts me off. I like how Vapour's Piraka clawed feet sink into your carpet.
  14. Great review for a great set. Really, really detailed and nice pictures. I don't own any of the Metru, but IMO, they were great. My favourite has got to be Lhikan. Oh, and the Huna's actually the Mask of Concealment, not Invisibility.
  15. So the keychain can be removed just by turning and twisting it off?
  16. Impressive! I love the astronaut helmets!
  17. Not a huge fan of how the hat is done but... I LOVE this guy. If the real Von Nebula set was like that, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
  18. Anyone with Thunder yet? Does the way the Inika shoulderpad is placed on his right arm affect his articulation in any way?
  19. And I thought DV's Horizon Dragon was awesome... Don't get me wrong, I still think DV's Horizon Dragon is awesome, but this... This is just pure impressive. I love the spine, and the use of the Lhikan armour parts. Great job!
  20. True, but the Furno Bike pulls off the overall aesthetic really well. Plus, it has new parts in orange and the <333 Bohrok faceplate. The Dropship doesn't offer much in terms of fantastic recolours. Its only unique piece is the silver Hero core.
  21. A friend of mine has one, but it doesn't really appeal to me, especially compared to the '08 vehicles. I think the Furno Bike is a better (and cheaper) buy.
  22. HF just hit stores in Singapore a week ago, and I was at my local TRU when I heard a conversation between this Caucasian boy (living here, I presume) and his (Filipino) maid. Maid: "Look! New Bionicle toys! Want?" Boy: "Those aren't Bionicle." Maid: "They look like Bionicle to me." Boy: "They're not! They just look the same. Look!" *points at box* *ponders for a moment* Boy: "Let's go look at other Lego." I almost burst out laughing.
  23. Since we're on this topic, does anyone know what to do if a missing/defected/wrong piece is found in a set outside the States or Europe? I live in Singapore. Just wondering.
  24. I suggest you use the word 'ammo' instead. Anyway, I edited the post to include the Tridax pod. Can't believe I left that one out.
  25. Launchers made their debut in Bionicle in 2004 and then full-scale in 2005. In 2006, it seemed that launchers had completely replaced the gear function we had in sets - for the main canister sets, at least. So, which one is your favourite? Why? Here's a list. 2004: Kanoka disc launcher 2005: Rhotuka spinner 2006: Zamor sphere launcher (with or without Inika add-on) 2007: Squid launcher 2007: Cordak blaster 2008: Midak Skyblaster 2008: Tridax pod 2008: Nynrah Ghostblaster 2009: Thornax launcher For me, it's either the Rhotuka or the Nynrah. Both have one thing in common: They're brickbuild. The Midak and Cordak were great blasters, really cool, shot far and hard, but they weren't brickbuilt. Plus, the Rhotuka spinner is the only vertical launcher - I remember competing with my cousin when I was young to see who could keep his spinner longest in the air. The Nynrah, on the other hand, wins it for me in terms of design and its simplicity. Air pressure is awesome. :) What do you think?
