I fail to see much a difference. Your entire argument was built on the fact that I couldn't be town as a tracker, but now we've all but confirmed there's a town tracker. I'm the only confirmed tracker too. You have a result from the role cop saying I'm the tracker, I gave you my night result, I'm clearly the tracker! Your argument was taken out at the foundation, you can't ignore that fact! As for Umbris' claim, frankly I'm at a loss where it's coming from. We have no evidence supporting his claim and he's given no verification. Given that I know what I am, he must be scum or an overly aggressive vanilla, that's all that makes sense. For the rest of you, look at the straw house Micheal has built! His whole argument is dismantled, I'm the proven tracker and your all just watching me die!
-
Wait, WHAT?! Oh this is just too good. You base your entire argument on there being no possible way that there is a tracker and a role cop even though I publicly claimed tracker and supported it with my actions, but Umbris claims tracker and it "makes sense"?! Oh dear me, your tunnel vision has blinded you. You're very fortunate that the day is almost over because the picture will be so much clearer once I flip town. You've all been dooped, either by extremely whitty scum or by your own shadows. But look at what your following! I can't deal with this much longer, the amount your willing to overlook just to accept one guys faulty logic is staggering. At this point I'm almost glad I'll be lynched in a few hours, then I can revisit this thread and watch you all fumble through the day trying to explain what went wrong.

No, the day plays out, but it's rare to have an unvote. Everyone is too scared to single themselves out. It's a shame really, I've never played a game where a confirmed power role is lynched because everyone plays the part of sheep. I don't give up, it's not my style so I will continue to declare the truth until the last bell has sounded, but I've seen how this group works. What's sad to me is the number of you that see the truth in what I'm saying, know the harm our causing, and still voted for me! The scum must be having a field day, having all their work done for them. Typically, they have to track down the power roles one by one, but here they have found two without doing anything. Heck, if they have a watcher they'll be able to see who protects Michael tonight and grab a third! Micheal, I tend to believe your town because that'd be a bold play for a scum-o to make. But is it really that hard to believe that the town has a tracker and a role cop in place of an investigator?? I can't help but wonder if is posted first saying "I saw Micheal visit me last night" if this whole situation would have gone the exact same way against you... But so it is. I held my tongue to further investigate the result and you spoke up and here we are. It only takes one of you to realize that this doesn't feel right, and I know that several of you can feel it too. This was a bandwagon from the sart and everyone hopped aboard because it was easy. But it's not right. I'm ranting now and probably boring most of you. I'll check back in after a good nights rest to answer any questions you have. Look long and hard at this, the game hinges on today.

Ok, I can't go through without voting, so I'll vote:Adone Inzerillo (Actor Builder) I don't like the way he's acting so skeptical of his own vote...like he knows that I'll turn out to be town. Scum like to hide on the back end of a band wagon and hedge their vote by saying things like "I'm not at all confident in my decision". I think the reason you aren't confident is you know I'll be revealed as town and then you can say "see, I thought you all were wrong!". I've seen it done in many games, heck I've done it too! Remember these words if I die today or tonight. No, we did not discuss roles before this went public. He asked my if i knew anything about the death last night in our PM and I said no, and that I thought he was fishing to see if I was the vig. But it's an almost numerical certainty that there's at least one scum voting for me.
-
Here's the thing, if you lynch me today, I'll come up town tomorrow, you'll be a power role short, then you'll debate about the snowman all day tomorrow, likely Lynching him, who could also be town. By day 4, you'll have lynched 2 power roles and not discussed a single other option. It's not a good path were on. I'll gladly track whoever you want tonight to verify who I am and help the town, or stay home if you're worried. I agree with most all this...except the vote.
-
We aren't both lying because I'm not scum and he's likely not either. Bussing is a usual scum ploy in larger games on later days, but here it would be far too risky. I feel that at this point it's more likely that we are both town and this is just turning into a very bad day for town.
-
Sorry for the loss, but it's good to hear he's home. Neither of us claimed to each other in pm, he messaged me asking/accusing me since I voted for KotZ and he'd died. At that point I'd already tracked him so I knew he targeted me. I thought he might have investigated me and thought I was the vig or that he was a scum role. He then posted his in thread and I realized what his claim was. At this point, role cop of some allegiance makes sense because he was aware that I was the tracker and I can't figure out how else he's know that. I'm just not sure if he's a brave scum or were both getting duped. I don't think the host would assign abilities while worried that some families would get more or less. It that were the case, then if we learned one family had a power role, then we'd instantly know that the rest of the family didn't, which wouldn't be a fair game design.

Good morning. Now I understand what all those cryptic messages were about could have just told me if you planned on role claiming in-thread anyway. I know you feel really proud of yourself, but don't go too crazy with your "discovery" because it could likely lose the game for us. Ya, I'm the tracker, what's funny is I tracked you last night and saw you targeted me. Therefore, I can affirm you do have a role, and role cop is certainly is likely (alignment unknown). The problem is, if you're the town role cop then you've just outed 2 town roles in one post. This isn't a bad conclusion when you ask us all to start with your hypothesis. You keep emphasizing your "not scummyness" which as all well and good. But I know my alignment, so something has to give. Either you've revealed 2 town power roles or you're doing a heck of a job trying to railroad me. No, it's not a strong case. I laid out my vote clearly. It wasn't a joke vote as some folks keep insinuating. I voted for KotZ because I felt that scum may hide by host voting. When you PMed me I thought you were insinuating you thought I was the vig because KotZ was suspicious enough, I'd not be surprised if the vig offed him. Fair, it's the same reason I tracked you. I love the plea for protection, that effectly ties up 3 roles tonight: The rolecop, the tracker, and the protector action. He's built his entire case based on assuming he's town so thus I must be scum. The facts I have to go on are: I'm the town tracker I tracked him and he visited me last night He now knows my role so rolecop makes sense So there it is, at least we will have something to discuss today. You're going to feel a bit goofy once my alignment is revealed...

I went to eBay for a müller figure. He's the only one I wanted and $7 was let too bad for it.

Ok, two observations: 1st) 8 votes will be nearly impossible. With 11 players and 2-3 scum, the town players would have to be nearly unanimous. 2nd) the votes for the host were funny at first, but it's time to move on and get serious. They don't give us any data and frankly are a good place for scum to hide out. I'll go ahead and put a vote in: vote: Brother Yakovlev Ivankov (KotZ) For making a useless joke vote far to deep into the day.
-
I'd be careful with over generalizations of scum voting patterns. From my experience, scum spread their vote out. If there is a popular lynch you can assume some scum are involved just because the majority of people are involved. There's also likely a scum player or two voting elsewhere. I've decided we should all vote and if a lynch occurs, so be it. But we shouldn't feel pressured to force a lynch. I just think the voting data is too important to lose.
-
As history will show, I've long been a vocal supporter of having a first day lynch but I've started to waiver on that the last few games. Here's my primary concern with a say 1 lynch in this game: we can be fairly certain that there will be a kill tonight by the scum, excluding weird mechanics. Here's a scary scenario, we have a bad lynch and the scum kill tonight. If there's 3 scum then they'll already control 1/3rd of the vote meaning the remaining players would have to be unanimous in their lynch vote to stop the scum!

I'm the other Johnson...but I ain't no dick I already sent you a PM to the same effect. Small numbers gathered here, not much room for mistakes. The edited post throws a wrench in it already. Let's see, is it majority lynch or at least half the votes? Ok, it's a 2/3rds majority required...so we've got a little wiggle room with your 4 vote penalty. But if this had happened on a later day... Just be careful As y'all know, I'm frank "the tank". (Yes, gave myself a nickname). Hopefully I can be a help to everyone, but don't mess with my family or you'll see why I call myself the tank!

Are FOLs particularly susceptible to the IKEA effect?
jluck replied to AmperZand's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'd say for myself, yes. One time I bought a second-hand set which arrived assembled. I disassembled it behind my back so I'd not see the finished product until I'd done it myself. Side note, I don't particularly like building ikea products. -

Frank "The Tank" Johnson here. I like rule #8, good twist. Oh...#10, but I couldn't fix it without violating rule #8... -
Have you ever played Mafia before? I know most of you have, but...hey, it’s regulation. If you haven’t, welcome! Do you have an understanding of the rules? Played??? One does not play mafia! I've lived Mafia, however. How available will you be for the next month or so? Open? Good, good. As long as the game doesn't go til December 25th, I may be busy that day. If you got to pick (which, maybe you will get to, if everyone chooses pretty evenly), which family would you want to be part of? Johnson, mostly because of sons of anarchy.

MT, I pushed for the vanilla lynch because, while dangerous, it was the only scenario that would possibly work. If I was lynched and lady k survived she'd be investigated as town. It was clear that I was going to die that day anyway so I really wanted to push that I was a townie early in the day, willing to die to win, and then shift the narrative to the block being infiltrated. It worked fairly well, but the odds were just too stacked. Honestly, I was happy with the attempt. -
