First, well done to whoever caught the scum last night. The number of kills now makes the night one results far more interesting. At this point, we may have not had a scum kill on two consecutive nights so the blocker/protector may have some leads. But clearly, Daniel's lead is by far the most valuable. I'm curious as to what Jafar, David, and Jasper have to say on the topic because right now the lot of them looks pretty bad.

I can't justify 2 no lynches in a row so Vote: Steven Schram (Khscarymovie4) He's not brought anything to the table, and the fact that we're still discussing that today means that he is either a scum-o or a distraction that needs off-ed. But my primary focus is the contradicting claims. I wish we'd had more time in the day to explore them an get a more substantial lynch. I don't trust person C. This line: - It's risky to claim to me, bu thanks.- is one I've used when I'm scum, acting like I've got the towns best interest at heart but stringing the conversation along. I don't like the way the the situation appears to have been handled either, it's too loose. In the end, this is the first solid thing we've had to build on so we need to follow this string a bit.

Looking at the current vote standings, I'm not ready to pursue a lynch on Steven at this time. He hasn't done much of value, but i feel like lynching him is just an easy out. He's very easy to build a case on, and that concerns me because scum often pile onto those bandwagons early.

Basically, I'm a math teacher. I looked all this up between last game and this because I wanted to see how data collection could contribute to the game. Whether you find it helpful or not, it was fun for me.

Meta gaming warning on this post: I was just curious as to how much the scum typically do on day 1. In the past several games, scum made an average of 6.5 posts on day 1 with a max of 12 and a minimum of 3. Also, they average the 10th most posts in the day. That proves definitely that the following player is scum!!! It's...me... Oops... So yes, I fit the criteria a little too closely, however, it is something to think about when looking for scum. They typically are middle of the pack day 1 players. They're not leading or staying quiet, they're just fitting in. While this might tell us who the scum are, it does give us a profile to look for.

It's always a possibly to be considered, it's too early to say with any certainty.

Ya, no. The simplest explanation is the best explanation. The scum killed last night. Under that premise the doctor shouldn't make contact, but rather monitor the situation. If the scum didn't kill there's always the possibility that game mechanics prevented them and instead we have an SK. So the doctor (if we have one) should be very cautious.

My thinking has been evolving on this topic. I've always advocated a day one lynch and I still prefer it. However, I am interested in exploring the advantages of waiting until day 2 to lynch. Day one lynchees are typically town, which is the downside. However, they reveal an allegiance and develop voting patterns that spark day 2 conversations, otherwise, day 2 can become day 1 part 2.

Also, Daniel is correct in his summation of roles, though I may add that the doctor may be able to protect him/her self which isn't a bad thought on day 1. I do believe 9 would be considered a super majority. A simple majority would be if the most votes anyone got were, say, 6 and they were lynched as the leading vote getter.

Hmmm...not sure if it's still current but I have the set. It's a cute little build but definitely not architecture material. It looks a bit goofy.

I know this is your first game, so I'm not judging you (I'm thrilled we have new players!), but on day one there's just no way of knowing 99% sure. Even the best day one lunches are shots in the dark. If you have a hunch, go for it. Mostly, it's good to get votes out on day one to gage reactions and to refer back to in the days to come.
