Agreed, the fact that the majority of people did not vote really bothered me. I still have yet to hear a convincing argument for not voting and this game just reinforces it. Still, MT you played one of the best games I'd seen, my scum list had Umbris at the top but you were at the bottom. Well done!

Kingdoms Mafia - Confirmation & Discussion
jluck replied to Dragonfire's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Of course. Is that to say then that Umbris and MT were the scum? I was pushing for the Umbris lynch hard behind the scenes ever then moment he claimed one shot vig but here we are. Well played scum! -

A good idea would be to read through a completed game or two to see how they develop and so you can get familiar with the primary roles that we use here. -
vote: Rath Skarbin (Umbra-Manis) I think Rath has been sliding under the radar since this game has started. He's new so he's gotten a pass and no one is suspicious that he's not added anything of substance, but I'm calling him on it now.

I've gotten to a point where I think we only have an investigator left, which means 2 have been cleared (counting the investigator). If there are 2 scum left we have a 2/3rd chance of lynching one but we will also lose one of our own tonight, so tomorrow would be 2 vs 1. If there is one scum left then we have a 1/3rd chance but if we're wrong and we lose one tonight, tomorrow will also be 2 vs 1. The only case in which town loses today is if there are 2 scum but the two confirmed townies lynch the other townie. I think we should put votes out to see where everyone falls, we can change them still with the time left.

I've finally had the opportunity to sit down and I don't like what I see. I feel quite certain that we had an SK who we got last night, but if that is the case that would mean we likely don't have a vig. I'm hesitant to have everyone claim in thread but I honestly don't know what is left to be claimed. No one claimed a role to our dearly departed sergeant, who was confirmed town on day 2. If there is a PR left, claim to Eustice and then you can decide together if you should go public. Here's why I believe Eustice, the sergeant was cleared at the start of day 2 then the investigator found fitz on day 3, so clearly the investigator was alive yesterday. Last night, only fitz and the sergeant died, so unless the good ol sergeant was actually the investigator, the investigator survived the night and cleared one more player, presumably Eustice. Also, if the investigator was actually sergeant Redford we should have had one more person cleared since he'd have investigated someone during the first night, but instead he was the one cleared night one so I am convinced that the investigator is alive. Thus, if Eustice was lying, the investigator could counter the claim instantly, but we've heard from everyone and no one has countered her. Therefore, Eustice is town. So if you have a role, claim NOW to Eustice so she can put together everything and get the right lynch going. Otherwise, were really gonna be in a tough spot and a no lynch is a nonstarter today.

It's not my place to say but personally I'd be thrilled to have you come back asap, we really need to get more players involved! -
Did he claim 3rd party before or after this post? Because it seems to me that he was just trying to get on front of the inevitable reveal if he started PMing after this post. Also there's this: If there is truly a SK as some (myself included) believe, how could it not be fitz? Remember, no power role has claimed to the Sergeant as of the start of this day, so that means no vig has claimed. But the deaths indicate a killer and a SK is what we have left. Fitz is known to be a third party, do you honestly believe that he has no ability and that there's another 3rd party SK out there in a game of 12?? Fitz has been caught, we know what he is. We can risk a vote and potentially kill a townie or we can rid ourselves of a liability.

I've been very open about my "fishing". The game is small, time is valuable, and anyone holding onto info needs to get it to a trusted person asap so we can move ahead. Wait, what?! I didn't use a player's game name and instead used their screen name and you expect an explanation as to why?! I enjoy the role playing but this seems a bit extreme! So you want a vote from me, been though I clearly articulated who I was suspicious of and who I'd vote for if we didn't have a sure fire lynch? I need to symbolically vote for someone just so I can unvote a post later? It's an excercise in monotony but I will participate if you so desire sir Eustice. vote: rath skarbin (unbra-manis) unvote: rath skarbin (unbra-manis) vote: fitzwilliam (jackjonespaw) While I see your worries the primary concern is that fits may be a SK and do more harm than good to the town. If his win condition involved winning on his own or with the scum he's basically of no use to the town anyway.

The only thing I fear is that everyone is waiting for the sergeant to reveal the investigation result and pile on. It'd be nice if we could get votes in early just to see where y'all stand. These are consequence free votes after all since the lynch is inevitable. I, for one, would vote for Rath Skarbin. I know he's new, but I'd encourage him to add a little more substance to the conversation. I'm sure it's a learning experience but do you have any suspicions or thoughts on the remaining players?
-
Most definitely if we have a blocker please tell someone trust worthy. Sergeant def claimed to be cleared yesterday and we've had no reason to doubt that. Was anyone cleared last night?
-
Ya, I'd definitely say either a SK or a vig, but not both.
-
Ok, interesting a valuable result. Also, I noted Felix was exiled and not killed. Our host alluded to the dead possibly returning in the sign up thread I believe so I wonder if this may relate to that. Here's the thing, there are more voters than nonvoters, so hiding in the nonvoters is actually blending in to the majority. I've never seen a game where so few people vote so I'm struggling to read what it means. I'd agree, I think I SK is quite possible given some of the quirks this game appears to be hiding. Well that's easy enough then. The people who have actually participated in voting both days and are still alive are myself and Wilfred. Sounds like game, set, and match. Except I'm not an assassin so if there are indeed 2 scum left at least one of them is hiding in the not voting pile.

The apathy is pathetic.

As it seems like this day could end as weakly as the last, I will go ahead and venture a vote. It seems like the extent of Felix Anderson's contributions have been discussing game mechanics, which doesn't sit well with me. With so little talking going on I don't have much to go on so I'll make due with what I have: vote:Felix Anderson (KingoftheZempk)
-
Given my opinions on the speed at which the town needs to operate and the likelihood that the sergeant is investigated first, I'm inclined to believe this as well.
-
I'm cautious on speculating too much there. The hosts almost always mention third parties just to protect the games secrets but im not gonna base my theories off that comment.

Btw, I checked out your YouTube channel, you've done some pretty awesome stuff! I really liked the 8-but breaking bad video you did for college humor! -
It's completely and unabashedly fishing. Obviously, I don't want someone to blurt "I'm the cop and here's my result" but I really don't want a repeat of day 1, where we knew nothing going in, lost 3 townies, and still knew nothing going out. If we don't make progress today, it's over. So no, people shouldn't shout out their roles, but if there is valuable info out there then we need to use it. If we don't use it today, we may not have a chance to use it tomorrow.
-
Eustice, I don't mean to single you out. I still feel several things you're saying don't add up and I'm keeping that in mind going forward, but I've got another thing bothering me. Seriously where is everyone?! We've gotten nowhere, several people didn't vote, and now many people haven't commented? Forget the fact that it's unfair to the king who's working hard for this, it's also totally ruining any chance we have of catching the assassins. Were there any night results to consider or anything we can build off of today?
-
Actually, I was saying she (or any of the others who didn't vote) could have been the deciding vote by voting and creating a tie and thus a no lynch. If she was against a lynch, she could have voted and created a tie instead of standing idly by and watching a now known townie die. A no vote is a good place for scum to hide because they can claim they weren't part of a town lynch.
