  1. I have them on two IKEA shelves as well. Not Expedit though. They're above my desk. I can only fit eight of them though, so once I build the Parisian Restaurant I'll have to come up with something to make room. Or install another shelf.
  2. That's really cool. Final design is better though. :)
  3. Wow, that looks really cool! I'm going to have to try this myself!
  4. Nope, not going this year. Looks like I'll simply be too busy to attend. Pity though. I was curious to see how the event would be in Utrecht, having attended it at the IJsselhallen for a few years.
  5. The Winter Village Cottage was definitely worth the €99,99 I spent on it. It's a great big building with wonderful interior and some really nice side buildings. With this one... I'm just not so sure. It seems cobbled together. I would have expected a set like this to be in the Winter Village's old price range (i.e. about €79,99). I'll still likely end up buying this, but it's no longer a no-brainer like the previous sets were.
  6. Lovely! I'll be getting the Palace Cinema first (I'm a little behind on these), then it's on to this one.
  7. Finally. Hurray!
  8. I might visit; not sure yet. I'm saving up to catch up on modular buildings (last one I bought was the Pet Shop) and this year's Winter Village set. So spending €20,- on a ticket (plus the inevitable on-site impulse purchases) might be a bit counterproductive there.
  9. Man, these winter sets are getting expensive. At least last year we had more pieces this year too and a big building to compensate for the higher price. At €99,99, this set is a bit disappointing, really. I'll probably end up getting it to satisfy my completist needs anyway, but with little room in my current home to display LEGO sets, I might hold off on buying this one until a later point (say, next year). If I do end up getting this one, I'll likely create a scene featuring just this and the Winter Cottage (which is great, btw). I think those two alone would make a nice combination.
  10. Uhm.... No. That's not mirroring a 20cm increase in width. That's going from a Smart to a Hummer in standard car size.
  11. Didn't see a thread for this one yet. So, who's going?
  12. Epic. I want one!
  13. My first batch of series 5 minifigures: At a 25% price increase since series 4. Uncool, LEGO, uncool.
  14. What a shame. What happened?
  15. I'll watch the video after I've built it. They usually show all the cool stuff in these vids and I like to be surprised when I'm building. This is so going to be my Christmas decoration for this year, btw.
  16. I like these smaller ships. I wish Lego had done one or two of these in the new Pirates line, before ditching it for that licensed rubbish they've got going on now.
  17. I'd buy this, if I hadn't just built Medieval Market Village, which has a similar blacksmith only better. The weapons gallery is pretty cool though. Do they come in any other set other than the Heroica games?
  18. That's quite modest, right?
  19. Got these at the LEGO Store in Oberhausen last Tuesday: Used my VIP pass, so I got this one for free: Also picked up a Jack Sparrow keychain for a friend of mine who is a massive Johnny Depp fan.
  20. Bought this set last week and built it yesterday. I really enjoyed the build and the finished set looks great. It's my first medieval set since coming back to LEGO and between this and the 2009 Pirates line I might just be a little tired of plain old City LEGO, which was always my theme of choice. There's just so much charm to these fantasy figures. I might pick up the new Kingdoms Mill Village Raid set as well. Not too hot on the current castle though. Bring back the raised baseplate!
  21. This whole MOC is fantastic. I want one.
  22. Yes. Yes, yes, yes. I felt exactly the same, having missed out on the 2007 harbor as well. I was looking forward to a new harbor theme ever since I realized I have a few small boats among my city stuff, but no harbor to put them in. This and the marina are both very disappointing. I know they're gearing these sets more towards play features than proper looks these days, but this stuff is just getting rediculous. A definite pass on both this and the marina set for me.
  23. Easy. The Octan station from 10184.
  24. That's an unspeakable amount of plastic awesome. Kudos.
  25. There's one in 6389 Fire Control Center (1990) as well.
