Because pictures say a thousand words Final words: GREAT MODEL! Interresting build, great design, total playability and awesome on display.

Skype is a great program. I use it for everything. Videophone, regular calls, texting, chatting. If you don't want to share everything, just create another account !

Added some additional pictures. (See more on my Dune Buster Brickshelf when available) I've made some small changes in the tubular-frame to make it even more sturdy. (At least i hope...)

Here in the Netherlands a 8865 MISB=Mint in sealed box) can get you aproc. € 200. Did you buy it to play with it and you forgot to play with it, or did you get it to make some money of it? For more info about vintage sets check: Eurobricks "Sticky Sets"

@zblj and @ Meatman: The construction is quite sturdy. Yesterday it took a unvoluntairy dive off the table. (3feet/90centimetres down) Only two connetors came loose. @Milan: I know reallife Dunebuggy's have bigger rearwheels. I tried various combinations, but 4 of the same wheels i used seem to be the best looking solution. ( I don'thave that much sparewheels......)

Thanks you guys! But: The choice of colours is all random. I used only spare parts (of Technic sets i don't like anymore). After building this model i know one thing for sure: I need more parts!

Usually i'm not a MOC builder. Only once every few years i can't help myself.. Looking at the Bandit by Biczzz Bandit i started my attempt in recreating that model. Surely it came out completely different but i had a fun time building it. Had so much fun that i completely lost track of time... Made a few pictures of it. So please check out my brikschelf Dune Duster Brickshelf (when public) I'm still working on it (i'm trying to get a engine in), but i thought i might share it right now! As a small sample i give you one picture in this post...

A small PF-motor can be used in places where there is no space for bigger moto9rs like de M or XL. Speaking for myself an small PF-motor should have low speed/high(er) torque! (Even better would be a build-in reverse-switch for choosing high speed/low torgue and low speed/high torque)

Taking it apart would be shamefull, but with all pictures, video's and all other stuff, others can rebuild it. That's is what LEGO is all about. "I put together" and "I take apart!"

OMG, that was too easy. Guess i forgot that the Pf-switch had a axelhole..... Looks better anyway!

Both A and B-model look fine to me! Even the pics are great. (The iPhone isn't that bad at all!) TLC made three beautifull models in its 2h2009-session. Can't wait for the 2h2010 models....

Very strange that the mod did not work on your models. I've been testing some more and there is aboslutely no noise, no teeth clenching crunching with my model. With many of the people i talked to and who applied the mod it seemed to work quite nicely aswell.... But then again there are many ways in solving the problem. How are you doing with yours? Please do not hesitate to share it!

Bulding, taking pictures, making movies . I've been building for two days. (Ofcourse not continiously...) And now i'm finished, so here are my comments! It is big and it's yellow; the former i like very much, the latter i don't. (I wish they made it in orange. or dark-red....) Seriously: It truely is a fun built with various interresting building techniques. I really like the "bending/folding" of the chassis. The big bucket works great with the LA's. All the ladders, railings and other greebles give this model at bit of a model-team look. (BTW The PF-set is a serious must on this model, so i think it's kind of strange they didn't add those into the model in the 1st place...) I'm normally not that much into wheeloaders and machines like this but it works for me! So: 9/10. (High points for the price i paid...) PS: Has anybody got a idea on how to incorperate the PF pole-reverser into the model on a less prominent place?

Hog is HAND OF GOD. Steering on the top of the model! (Edit: maybey there should be a list of terms being explained.... Ie HOG, Greebles, AFOL's etc etc...)

It's is a nice detail that the buggy has HOG and an working steeringwheel. That is one of the things i'm always looking for.
