so my brother came back to Cyprus yesterday with some new lego for me unfortunatly i am now in Greece andnot be able to get them for some time... he got me the batmobile with two-face from hamleys he went to Milton-keynes and says they had great stuff! they had a "build your own minifig"stand for one pound the fig (!!!) so he got me the cat-woman magnet set a city magnet set a lego-brick magnet set a classic space keyring (!!!!!) a city keyring the salt & pepper set (and he got some stuff for himself as well) i love all those lego treats as they are hard if not impossible to find here in Greece! thank you all for your London Lego shopping advice!!

the "LEGO" brand sure needs promoting.. during the holidays i called a few toy shops to ask if they have lego in their store... most of them said yes and i was horrified to discover that they didnt have any lego.. they had look-alikes...bad bad clones...(a lot cheaper than lego) so lego tends now to be the name for any brick build toy and there are a lot of them out-there! so the lego brand needs to reclaim its name and originality!

i agree with you for the most part..i am really optimistic about city sets.. and since i am mostly acity/town fan i would say that this year is the ultimate come back.. things are not perfect for sure... i wonder how many sets since 2003 "world city" up to today include female figs... some of the cars and trucks thow they are full of detail i dont see what else you can build with them... i can make another police station out of that set... and another train station out of the new set... but what can i make out of that huge yellow truck and this new green douple cargo.. are things getting a bit playmobil in our city? and even thow playmobil has some of the best city toys...its not lego it cant be transformt into something else.. can you make anything else out of that huge new plane? i could make a great boat out of the old one... or even a car if i used my imagination! so my point is: Is lego loosing the construction-just imagine- feature and becoming just a toy? (a lovely toy..)

the only down side of these new city sets is that there are no females..AGAIN what the heck is up with that? no females at the airport and none at the plane and none at the station!! i wasnt ecxpecting one at the fire station but come on where are the women? (at home cooking? do they have a right to vote at lego-city? are they all housewives?)

having a list of classic sets availiable each year yould be a great sub-theme... IKEA is also a company going for profit but they have a few classic pieces that are always availiable because they sell well... its like the grey suit.. everybody needs one and it never goes out of style.. we are not talking lego should only have old sets all the time.. im talking mostly new and maybe 5 old sets each couple of years.. in other words: more legends availiable for more time..

well i only have one train set but i hope i will afford to get the station (with all the great sets coming) im gonna have to find a way to get me 9v track...either from lego.com or a lego store... (but there is none of that in greece :-/ ) anyhow im really happy about these sets!!!my city will have a second golden age!!!

this is deffinetly NOT what i was hoping for...that tank looks like a huge one piece thing...and why on earth would we need a black helicopter? the only good thing is the bad-guys!! great plane for scear-crow... hope there are more batman coming...

oh my!!! im so in love today!! first i see the creator house and now that amazing station!! absolutely love it!!! this year is going to cost A LOT!!! it seems that we are getting almost everything we wanted..!!! (quick question..can the 9v trains ran on RC track? is the track in the station RC?)

after seeing those terrible space sets these sets are a piece of heaven *wub* that house is a dream come true!!! *wub* i am so in love!! get me 2 of them NOW!!! *wub* *wub*

oh my god...these look....terrible!!! 2007 was looking so good for city and castle...but it looks so bad for space!!! stay on earth people...life on mars sucks!! :-X

so im guessing this cargo hauler might look a bit something like this only a lot bigger and 8 studs wide...hmmm not too bad....but i dont really see me getting anything this big...

Well i think thats one more reason why lego should make these sets! almost every theme playmo has lego also has.. and i think lego will soon be making an ancient greece theme! i just feel it (or is it just wishfull thinking?) i c a lot of mocs about this theme on brickshelf...its like the fans are asking for it!! the viking ship could easily become a greek ship! just think of the armies the legions the buildings the Gods!! there are SO many muthical monsters in greek mythology and so many battles in greek history! I have a feeling this theme is just around the coner!! i just hope they dont ruin it!! The possibilities regarding this theme are endless and lego is going to a direction where there is no man on man war but its mostly man-vs-creatures-skeletons-monsters... this is what Greek mythology is all about!!

i few days ago i saw the second batman movie (again) You know the one with penguin and cat-woman... Its the best movie IMO cause it has that dark 50s city sence and the most spooky buildings... Thats the Gotham i LOVE and hope for!!! anyways in the film penguin has a whole gang of circus people and they all live under the Zoo in the penguin section (ofcourse) THAT would make a great set!!! i mean....enough with batman and his rides...lets see what the bad guys have!!! the penguins submarine in the batcave set was very cool but that set is very ecxpensive Wouldnt it be great if Lego made one set for every bad-guy?? a joker set...a penguin set...a poison ivy set.... we should consentrate a bit more on them!!! they are great minifigs and its a shame for lego to have them in only one set.... i also have a question about arkham asylum.... isnt it availiable in europe?? is it only in the us???

whats a cargo hauler??? and shouldnt the boxes start to appear? we have seen the pictures but no boxes :-(

OH my!!! OH!!!OH!!! X-O i am so ecxited about these sets!!! X-O seems like im going to get something from this line this year!!! *wub* i havent bought anything from castle in about 10 years!!! please pay attention to the smiling face at the first box!!! this is SO GOOD!!! i just hope this isnt just a prototype and then in the actually box he will be angry again!!! the princess is also smiling!! and from what i can see she looks lovely!! im not so mad about the skull castle...seems to bulky but the whole idea is great and the sets look really good! now im hoping to see the carriage of the skeletons!! (looked great in the first pic) *y* *y*

thanks for the new info.. i am a bit dissapointed by this i guess i was hoping for more than just 2 sets does this mean that the theme is slowly ending? (like with the vikings first we get 5 sets then 2 then nothing) i just think that there was so much they could do in terms of city and buildings with this theme! i would love to see the wayne manor and a wayne limo and a gotham city scene (me and my lego dreams) insted we get 2 more batman vehicles! so now we have batmobile batwing dragster batboat the speed boat from the bat-cave a tank a bat-choper how many rides does one bat need? :-P

so my brother went to hamleys yesterday with my lego list to discover they had almost nothing from the sets i wanted.... my list was: sailbarge ISD graveyard duel city airplane batmobile with two face (this one they had and he got) seems like everything was sold out for Xmas he said they had A LOT of lego but mostly bionicle Exo-force and batman... i also asked him for a few keychains and he said they didnt have any!!!!! so my question to you is....Where else can you get lego in london??? and i also wanted to ask: isnt the arkham set availiable in europe yet??
