your werewolves are really cute, and not a bit fearsome. In Midgardia we use them to watch the chicken coop Nice touch with the ruined buildings, really like that one, and also the whale's skelleton

@mwb: it'd be better to rezize the images, it makes watching them easier I finally had some good light today, so I was able to take new pictures of my tower. I know it's still not perfect, but I'll leave it at this, gotta get going with other projects.

alright, so I changed the roof and the cart to the colors suggested by our glorious leader Jarl Nibelung. Unfortunetely I did't have any good natural light today, so I used a flash. The pics kinda suck now.

The economy of Helgestorp part 1: Thoralf, the rafter as has been said before, the men of Helgestorp mostly work as carpenters and are splitting trunks in order to build, houses, towers, castles etc. The trees for theses very skilled craftsman are usually cut in an old oak forest a little upstream from the village. Thoralf enjoys putting the logs together and taking them down to Helgestorp ... more to come ...

This tower makes other builders look like a bunch of bloody amateurs! I especially like the angle and the steepness of the ravine the tower bridges. Truely, with all those great towers our realm looks defended the best, but I guess, given the topography of Mitgardia with all its mountains, this was really nessecary.

I like the American project too, especially since it's build on a slope and with a different kind of rock. The only thing that bugs me about it it the ominpresent Stars and Stripes in about every second picture, somehow not very medieval ...

For all those of you who still need a little inspiration about how medieval life actually looked like I highly recommend to learn about Guedelon Castle, a project in France where experimentel archeologist got together to build a castle with only the technology available in the 13the century. It's a truely awesome project and I'm planning to visit it next summer. You can start learning about Guedelon on this site but there is way more footage available on youtube etc., check it out, it's really cool and absolutely inspirational!!

now, how are we possibly going to choose 5 towers for entry? All of these Mitgardian are simply way too great, great job there viceroy and busboy!!

I certainly am working on some more ideas, (and a black roof for my tower )just gotta get those bricks from bap!!

well, its gonna to tough to decide which are the 5 best towers of our guild since this is also extremely good. What I like most is how you depicted really deep snow!!

well what to say, this moc is so gruesome, it gives me shivers However, every lava stream does get exhausted after a while, and so will this one. And then, cold showers form the north will cover Nocturnus with snow and ice!!

@viceroy: As I said before, I just got the TS soldiers, meaning four pairs of greens arms + a nice assortment of other green bricks for just 4,- €, so I'm supplied with green arms now

@SOT: how about smaller mini challanges? seems like the enthusiasm has slowed a little ...

well, like has already been explained by de-gothia, you upload your pics at brickshelf or flickr and then write a post here with a reference to your pic there, if you do it right the image shows up here in your post

three ATC soldiers? I see at least on Midgardian (normal green arms) in there. Is he an aprentince from the cold north? Dispite that, excellent tower, I really love what the pirater mocers come up with here in the historic section!!

Of the many excellent towers around here, this is definetely my favourite one! I simply love everything about it, except for the fact that it is Avalonian

@SOT: I currently have a 48x96 large moc sitting on my desk, awaiting completion as the second stage of this project. I was wandering whether I should declare this a Midgardian Moc or not. @panda: I'd change the sand green, red and dark green sleeves of your troops to normal green. They currently look a little avalonian/kaliphlian for my taste

Woah Ost, what a tower, I'm glad us Mitgardians build the mightiest towers to defend our realm ... I hope it serves us well and keeps drow at a distance!! The only thing I find kinda odd, it the large pine or spruce or whatever it is, it definetely needs more branches on the lower sections of the trunk, otherwise it might look like a palm, not really the kinda tree we'd see in mitgardia. Also I think that topping the railing on the first lever with white instead of tan would make it look more wintery anyway, this is the kinda stuff more of us mitgardians ought to present!!
