Here is my latest 6-wide truck, a german MAN truck. It's not really meant to be a certain model, I rather tried to copy what's typical for their design. (hope it's recognizable) Up in Scandinavia we see a lot of those trucks. The load consists of three truck cabs with original design by P Normandin. I am in the multiple-mood right now. ( with reference to my Smart's... ) All comments are welcome.

Yeah...you know how it is...when you start tasting SMART:IES you just can't stop can you ?

Thanks ACCURATEin ! No, I didn't build that Smart dealership thing. Though, I had an idea about using my Smarts for making a Lego Smart car brochure, like those you get for real cars... What do you think about that ? Lime.... ??? You mean the yellow car or...?

Thanks, prateek !! I've got 7 Scanias. All in different basic colours and in various versions, as semi-trailer trucks, cement truck, milk tanker truck, and two are lorries with platform. thanks dr Spock. For this trailer I used rear wheels 6 x 30155 "Wheel Spoked 2 x 2 with Pin Hole".

A 6-wide Scania semitrailer. I've used this cab design a couple of times now. All-in-all one of those vehicules you pass a zillion times on the motorway each day, without paying any attention. Anyhow, this is how they look Comments are welcome.

We look forward to see more of your excellent MOC:s here !! I have, easy available in my back-pack (for work), a copy of the railbrick interview with you, so that I can admire the beautiful realistic scenaries, and rolling stock that you have accomplished - really very very well done.

Yeah...why not, it is a good idea... I got tons of trucks and semi-trailers, but I never built such car transport trailer.

Great idea I love both Tintin and Lego, so what a great way to combine those interests. I'd love to see more of this kind of creations.

I didn't pay that much attention to colours of stearing wheels, so what you see is more or less a random mix.

This is indeed a clever design ! I am gonna print and save this proposal for a rainy day Well done, Gambort.

Thanks ! Yes, this type of green mudguard does not exist. Apart from that I could build also a green

Considering the original design and parts from 3177, I checked availability of key elements and the below palette represents all possible colours. Which is your favorite colour ? Comments are welcome.

Very nice NOC. Your building really got that factory feeling. Nice colourscheme as well, perfectly suited for such building.

I agree next time I'll try to make the snow look more Lego:ish

After heavy snowing the last days in Newtiles region an avalanche buried parts of the main road leading to Bracketslope. A Volvo front loader is clearing up the mess......while people impatiently queuing..... Front loader and truck cab designs inspired by P Normandin. Comments welcome.

Set 132 and 171 with an additional 4,5V motor and battery box. Many years later, after my dark ages, the 4564 9V set.

Here we go again.. I find it most important to have a consitant idea in your town so all vehicules have a correct relative scale. As for myself I prefer to make cars 4-wide, SUV are 4-wide + mudguards, and buses, trucks and trains are all 6-wide, = meaning 6-wide bodies without mudguards, BUT I do add mirrors etc which are outside the 6-wide body. Personally I dont mind if one or two minifigs have room enough. I fully agree to other members saying that vehicles tend to get too big, so let's strive to keep the scale DOWN !!! Let the never-ending-debate continue.......................

If slope brick curved 3 x 1 (ref 50950) which forms the tank, would have been available in normal green colour, I would probably have built the tank in the original Octan colour scheme, red/green /white. But as the green doesn't exist (yet) I thought it was a nice touch to build it in Dkgreen/Dkred/White. I know slope brick curved 3 x 1 exist in normal red, but since I went for Dkgreen I though Dkred was a nicer complement.

Great idea for a MOC !! Just fits my taste perfectly.

You managed to pack in a lot of fine details in this display. I recognice the white-blue boat, but I also see you modded it a bit :-) Overall a good job, Benny !

I am glad at least someone acknowledged a ressamblance with the original truck Volvo grill is made from 2pcs tile 1x1 at each side, with 1pcs tile 1x2 with bottom groove in the middle. I put a very thin grey stripe around all tiles as a frame + a thin stripe in diagonal. That's it.

I like the new 3180, but it does look a bit <insert that tiresome argument> for my taste, so I wanted a more realistic looking tanker with clean studless surfaces. Truck is basically 6-wide, except tanker which is just slightly wider as can be seen near each inverted dish 6 x 6. Octan colour scheme is changed to a more elegant Dkred/DkGreen/White-combination, so I also made special decals in those colours though keeping the original Octan style. Truck driver also got a new uniform As I have made several 6-wide Scanias, I now tried to build a 6-wide Volvo FH truck to pull the tanker. Truck front is made with original parts, but I used a thin light grey stripe around the grill, and some white stripes near each front headlight, to achieve a more recognizable look. In the lower compartment, behind DkGreen doors, you find controls and a hose nozzle for unfilling the tank. A ladder leads up to the walking bridge on top of the tanker. Comments are welcome. I've added the original volvo FH truck:
