Tan and Smart, an unusual combination. Thanks to a rare find of tan doors on Bricklink and the all new tan cheese slopes, this tan 3177 was possible to build. Here with the complete family, representing all possible color combinations to date. Feel free to comment.

Below my latest MOC:s, a truly classic truck,Scania 113 H. These "long nose" trucks tend to be more and more unusual in Europe. Design is 6-wide, as all of my trucks, and I made two of them, since "the more the merrier". Hood design inspired by P Normandin.

..ha ha...plastic surgery, that was a good joke for a plastic legofig

Thanks, legoist and all others for kind comments. Yes, all vehicles and locomotives are my own designs. Design and colours refelect those of the originals (IRL) but of course with adaptations to what is possible to achieve in minifig scale. More pictures can be found in my flickr or brickshelf accounts - see links below, I also encl one picture of Excavator as you asked partically for that design. Flickr link Brickshelf link

Part of a train yard with some of my Swedish style MOC vehicles and locomotives. It’s my contribution to a temporary display, for a Lego event, in a Stockholm technical museum. I know the landscaping is extremely poor, but it’ll do the job since a train yard is typically “flat”, and the emphasis should be on vehicles rather than surroundings. Anyhow I just wanted to share this picture with you. Also, I'm sorry about picture size being slightly “heavy”, but when making it smaller it became super blurry.

New pictures added to original post. I didn't know how to change the headline.....

Thanks KielDaMan !! You are absolutely correct, it was a challenge to fit 2 “cylinders” and achieve the desired functionality in this relatively small vehicle. It’s basically as small as it can get, unless TLG releases an item with similar function, but smaller than 53586.(which I would welcome !! ) BL link to 53586

I think you are 100% correct, because I acknowledge doing the same

Thanks Tiger and all others for your kind comments!! As for the Volvo-looking-thing on the rear grill, it is merely a thin grey stripe, with a small square stripe in center. As a general comment on response on EB, I'd say it's really unpredictible. I've spent numerous hours of work on this front loader, but very few commented it. On the other hand I put a 5 minute job into my tan SUV (just adding those doors) and that topic has twice the number of visitors and comments (just as an personal reflexion)

I made a nice discovery on BL - tan doors 1 x 3 x 1. Here's just a few shots to show a SUV I made before but now updated with those new doors. Comments are welcome.

UPDATE.. New pictures added just below the "old" This is an almost finished WIP - a Volvo front loader with "hydraulics" functions for bucket and liftarms so that it can be positioned in any angle with full support and able to carry a decent "load". I am still waiting for some parts from BL, that I think will improve the general look a bit. Still, it would be nice to get your comments and/or creative proposals to what I've achieved so far. Hereunder a few new shots. I changed a few things and added new lights front and rear + rear mirrors. Please say what you think, did it became better...or...did I add too many details ?

Thanks everyone, for your kind comments. I only use Lego original items. Chrome fuel tanks are Lego ref 45408, Vehicle, Gas Tank 2 x 4 with Two Pins. They are quite rare and only appeared in two (ugly) 4 Juniors set back in 2003. I bought 2x ref 4652 just to get my hands on these tanks.....

Congrats to a really nice design !! Well done.

The story behind the truck: Dkgreen is one of my favorite lego colors, so it was an easy choice for this new Mercedes MOC truck with crane. Also I think tan (and dktan) goes nicely together with dkgreen to form a nice looking combination. Crane design as seen by user Fistach, but here modofied and assembled between cab and tipper, as most Swedish trucks of this type have. Besides control sticks you find, on each side, crane supports that can be put in an upright position when not used. Mudguard flaps front and rear. Chrome fuel tanks. Red chassis. Tipper with sides of hinge train doors, and assembled on a plate so the tipper can be raised with the help of an old hinge plate 2x9. Pictures follows hereafter. All comments are welcome.

Nice details and sticker job, Holodoc. I would make the truck front more "square" and skip the cheese pieces. But that's just a matter of personla taste. It's still a great build !

Great build. It does look like he engine Reinhard "Ben" Beneke built a few years ago. Nevertheless a really good looking engine.

Thanks for positive feedback, blueandwhite. I have made several trial acc to your proposal (several others also suggested a similar modification). It's possible to make a "beautiful" and smooth ramp, when facing outwards (in upright position)...but.... at the same time some unexpected problems occured. 1) Weight. Making the ramp otherway around as suggested, results in using more plates and tiles, => adding too much weight, which the current "mechanism" cannot support.... 2) Geometrical. Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with Handle on Side (Lego ref 2540)is not fully symmetrical. This has an impact in the horizontal distance between ramp and rear parts of truck. Meaning the "gap" is either too small (ramp not possible to close) or too big (looks ugly, and adds even more "torque" on the mechanism => making the ramp not possible to maintain in an upright position. I tried several work-arounds, without any success. => As it is now, provided keeping the exisiting mechanism, I cannot change the ramp. Any new ideas or porposals are welcome.

Nice to see designs with added functionality. Also it has a good resemblance to the truck IRL. Well done.

Thanks, Belchher ! This is what you'll find:

Have patience with me...I made another Mercedes truck..... and as company to make the picture more interesting, I included my Volvo excavator (presented on the forum before). Any comments are welcome, as always.

It seems June is the cow's month :-) Besides posting my new Mercedes cow transporter, I updated my 6-wide Scania Milk tanker. It's transporting fresh milk for ARLA, one the biggest companies up in Scandinavia. Whole tanker is brick-built with curved slopes. (the earlier version had Wiking wheels forming the tanker) Any comments are welcome.

Judging from the positive comments, it seems my 6-wide Mercedes truck design was OK. So I made two more, since MOC:s may look btter presented in multiples. Also I made a small adjustment of the front light arrangement. Hope you can give some feedback !

Absolutely amazing collection you've built Cooper !!! So well-balanced proportions and realistic colour-schemes, I really appreciate you're avoiding the classic bright Lego colours, and instead use tan, dark red, dark green etc which adds so much more realism to my point of view. I just wonder (as always when seeing those long coaches) how they manage points and turns ? Very well done.

This is my latest MOC truck, it is a 6 Wide Mercedes truck inspired by their Actros-series. It features a red chassis and a light bluish gray "transporter box", 17 studs long. Black sidemirrors and two Chrome fuel tanks and exhaust pipe. Rear loading ramp is fully functional and have "slip-free" stairs to securly let in the cows. The black grille of Mercedes truck is built up-side-down and connected to the plates below with a technic plate 1x4 which reverses the direction of studs. Also I made my own small Mercedes logotype as an adhesive and put in black grille. And last, SORRY, but I have no Lego cows....I know that would have added more "realism" to pictures ! Any comments are welcome.

Really nice modifications on locomotive and a beautifully designed waggon, you have done a marvelous job !!!
