  1. "Why waste the existing cup? And thank you very much." With a nod he carefully sat down and began to drink the remains of his tea.
  2. Nice t' see Mr. Newport getting 'imself more involved th' moment I vote fer 'I'm fer not involvin' 'imself. T' be honest, I'm slightly annoyed at Douglas Wembley. All day they bin nothin' but vicious an' unhelpful an' sarcastic a'cause a being voted fer yesterday. I'd dropped me suspicions o' them cause o' them bein' more active today, but if they ain't willin' t' be 'elpful then I'm goin' t' go back t' thinkin' o' them as possible traitors.
  3. Enson quietly walked into the hall, his fur glistening with the freshness of a recent cleaning. It was clear that he had made the most of his post-garbage delving shower. Making his way over to his preferred seat he leaned over to pick up his teacup, still sitting where he had left it. His face took on a slightly disgruntled expression and he held the cup - cold, just as he'd expected. With a resigned gesture, he made his way over to the bar and held the cup out towards Thorvald. "Excuse me," he said, "but could you microwave this?"
  4. My apologies fer bein' absent, got a wee bit distracted. Far as I can tell, Douglas is just mad that they got a lot o' votes in their absence an' is bein' belligerent a'cause o' that. T' be honest th' only reason I voted fer them was because they were th' only kinda suspicious (t' me) person tha' could be voted off. Now they've bin speakin' up I got no reason t' suspect 'em. I th' balance tha' jus' leaves Mr. Newport as a suspect t' me. As Lawson said yesterday, they've bin all middle-of-th'-road-like and noncommittal in a kinda shifty way. Vote: Kieran Newport(Tariq j)
  5. @karmajay, please do not make purchases from the Bazaar after posting in a mission topic until the mission is over, at least not without asking the MM's permission first. @Kintobor
  6. No, though it is the preferred option.
  7. Eh, I got nothin' t' lose by bein' decisive. Unvote: Murphy Blake (Duvors) Vote: Douglas Wembley (Darkdragon)
  8. Dunno, been a bit focused on Noah an' not paying' enough attention t' everyone else. I jus' voted fer meself 'cause I'm a bit pessy-mis-tic about my chances o' surviving' th' night. See, far as I can fathom, Noah ain't a scum, just befuddled-like, an' I can't see much else t' vote for anywhere else. Though ye do be makin' a good argument fer Douglas or Kieran. I'll stew on it a little.
  9. T' be honest, I don't think 'e noticed me voting' fer 'im at first. Y' keep sayin' that, but we got nay idea iffin ye be loyal or not, so that argument don't be holding up. I be happy to vote fer someone else if ye give a good reason fer votin' the way ye did. An' right as I be sayin' that... Look, I don't think that be holdin' up - by all rights ye should be voting' fer me - but honestly at this point I think yer not a traitor, though that 'vote fer me an' yer doomin' yerselves' attitude ain't doin' ye any favors. Unvote: Noah Nelson (JintaiZ) After that, I dinnae be havin' anybody ta vote fer. So, since I'll probably be gettin' killed tonight anyway... Vote: Murphy Blake (Duvors) ... I'll just see iffin I can be savin' ye all the trouble. Put that in yer pipe an' smoke it.
  10. Tha's not what be sayin'. I don't even know what yer tryin' t' say, yer being so incoherent tha' I canna unnerstand a word from yer mouth.
  11. @JintaiZ What the 'ell be wrong wit ye? I might've been fine with yer reason fer voting' fer Lawson (stupid as it be it don't seem t' be scummy) but then ye go an change yer vote agin an' don't bother providin' a reason other than 'possibly scum'. Ye could say that fer all o' us an' it'd still be true, so why this one specially-like? And now ye're just being weird an' cyptic agin.
  12. I'd rather vote early than be all tentative-like an' be accused o' "bandwagoning'", and I want an explanation fer why yer been' all cryptic-like. Besides, right after I voted fer ye, ye voted for someone else w'out even th' slightest justification, so yer not so innocent 'ere are ye?
  13. Vote: Noah Nelson (JintaiZ) I'll be starting us off with a vote fer this man, he's been actin' strange today.
  14. @Waterbrick Down Crusader: Extra die then, good. But I'm not sure about making Smite just 'attack +' as that would seem more like a trait. Perhaps it adds Religion in return for not being able to attack next turn? Detective/Empath: I think the best course is to change the Empath's persuasion for something else, I'll make it Deception for now. Scholar: Does this alternate 'Well Read' have a duration? For balance reasons it probably should. I like the 'falling forward' aspect of the current one but the versatility offered here is tempting, I think I'll use it. As for the action, that's a good idea, I'll implement it.
  15. Arr, if we've been infiltrated we're in fer trouble. 'Specially as I couldn't tell any o' ye apart even if I had me good eye still.
  16. @Waterbrick Down, I've been thinking about what you said about how awkward the way Spirit works feels, and I think that the best ways to deal with that are either to make Meditate a regular action or have Spirit replenish at the end of battles.
  17. After some thinking about it I've altered 'Speak to Thoughts' so that it can be used to hold proper conversations, something the Tongues spell is ill-suited to. I've also come up with a new action for the Ætherdiver.
  18. @Waterbrick Down Assassin: Done, Ætherdiver: I'll clarify System Exploit as once per mission. Up From the Deep is intended to be out-of-combat so I think we need to change how it works. Crusader: If I understand how it's supposed to work correctly then that would be objectively worse than the Assassin's feature. I'd assumed it meant flat successes in both cases rather than extra dice. In any case not being able to stack it will probably cause it to lag behind Ambush anyway (and tying it explicitly to Spirit will restrict the class to spellcasters only, whereas currently one can play a Crusader without spells). Conjurer: Done. Detective: Intimidation is the only requirement those two don't share, I doubt changing it would help to differentiate the two. Engineer: Done. Empath: The intent of Speak to Thoughts is that it cannot be replied to but doesn't cost spirit, and I'm loath to just say 'you cast this spell' because I specifically want to distinguish it from spellcasting. Again, I may need to change how this works. Espatier: I'd rather not, as only those two classes require Explosives to begin with. I'll replace Engineering with Coding for now. Guardian: Done. Hacker: Done. Outlander: Done. Prosecutor: Changed to 'Imposing'. Scholar: I don't know, you designed the class. I'll remove the feature for the moment until we think of something. Again, I don't want to just fall back on 'you cast this spell' for class features, I'd like them to remain distinct so that they don't become redundant with one another. I've come up with something more unique and made a minor overhaul of the class in the process. Warrior: Done.
  19. Correction, we do - albeit as the second stage of the 'Alter Form' spell instead of its own thing.
  20. Personally I'd say that we should just assume that the cloaking device does whatever is necessary to make the character's actions more inconspicuous.
  21. I'm happy to see everyone enjoyed the experience as much as I did. I especially enjoyed the interaction between Enson and Valesia's different forms of maturity and Aysu's chipper newness. Though I feared I was being a bit overbearing throughout the quest I'm glad to see that I was worrying over nothing. As for the mission itself, while it was short it was still very satisfactory. I chose this mission specifically because it seemed exactly what I wanted to start my character's career. I'm especially thankful to Kinto for being willing to alter the mission while in progress to allow for a peaceful resolution. Thank you all once again and I'll be seeing you in future!
  22. Ahoy! Sorry for bein' late, but me bad eye makes it hard to see were I'm goin'.
  23. An idea: if you end a turn with more momentum than your piloting proficiency you have to make a piloting check vs. your momentum before turning.
  24. If no-one else responds at some point I'm just going to call this done and move on to other things.
  25. The problem with making it an explicit requirement is that it prevents non-proficient players from involving themselves in such a scene. I'd much prefer something that makes proficient players better at piloting than making them the only people who can pilot.
