  1. I was surprised to see them on the TRU US website already... even though I intended to order them from S@H to get the points, I couldn't help myself, and ordered the shuttle, the vwing and the battle of naboo. With expedited shipping, they should be here by Tuesday... Come on, this can't be real.... already? I must be dreaming
  2. As long as the two domes are flush....I was thinking that a "disc" like piece to allow the switch would elongate it too much. I was really just curious if it could be done. I'll be surprised if I make one, let alone an army of them!
  3. That's a great solution- I don't have two heads in front of me right now, and I need to dig around to find the technic pieces, but I want to try it. Does it make the two halves fit together snug, much like a true sphere? My concern was that a "conversion" piece would end up making it more like a cylinder than a sphere. Thanks Darth Yogi
  4. Oh, I'm not that much of a stickler for accuracy. I like to redo the guts of my shuttles to put as many minfigs as I can inside... that makes it more "realistic" for me, even if the proportions don't end up being as correct. Unless we have minifig scale models of everything, I'd just as soon have a shuttle that can actually, well, shuttle. So you and I probably actually think alike, Prateek.
  5. Now that I know that the V-wing has a spherical Q7, I wonder if there is anyway to moc one... does anyone know of a piece that could be used to attach the head dome to another dome to reflect the repulsorlift section?
  6. Well, fallenangel327, you've convinced me on the Q7 spherical droid. I should have checked wookiepedia. That eliminates a con for me on this v-wing. I shall consider myself lucky to have the extra body, and complain about having to remove the dome no more!
  7. No controls is a little thing, but it bothers me anyway that there aren't any. You'd think they could put in one piece. It really is ridiculous that you have to take the R2 head off. I get mixed feelings every time I learn more about this set, but hey, I'm a sucker, I'll be getting it.
  8. I understand why some folks don't want increased detail and printing, but hey, that's progress. If Lego didn't improve the minifigs.... well, lets just say I still have a few from my childhood with no arms, no legs, and no faces!
  9. How about this one- it's not really related to Lego, unless the answer means all of the pilots we have are wrong. In the X-Wing Squadron and New Jedi Order books, pilots often go "extra-vehicular" when they're hit- but they never seem to be wearing even a mask. Just the helmet with a visor. Does anyone know how this works? They never seem to be shown with a mask, and I'm not sure how they'd have time to get it on before going "EV." Churchill
  10. Hello Dan, and welcome to Eurobricks. I've been to the museum- it's fantastic! I hope you enjoy the forums. Churchill
  11. I got the Darth Vader- I really like it, but I wish it was more functional- you can't have it lit all the time, so you can't see it at night unless you push the head (and wake up your wife), and I wish it was a radio too...
  12. Have we seen anything that suggests landing gear on the V-wing? The front looks thin enough as it is, and it would really help "balance" it out.
  13. Forgive me if anyone has mentioned this before, but I couldn't go back through all the old posts right now... has anyone read the novelization of TFU (the first one)? Any thoughts on it?
  14. Just wishful thinking I guess... I missed alot before my Dark Ages ended, and I'd like to get a yoda, but the one-color molded heads of some of these really turn me off. I'm not a huge fan of Jar Jar, but I love the new printing.
  15. I wonder if the improved Jar Jar means we might see a better (non-CW) Yoda in the future... or ewoks (though I'm not interested in the Ewoks...
  16. Welcome epic_red! Enjoy the forums.
  17. The Jar Jar printing might change my mind on this set...
  18. The whole thing looks fantastic, but I especially like the captain's cabin. I wonder if there would be any way to simulate a "moonlight" shot. Churchill
  19. How about a Padme Battle Pack?
  20. Simply amazing! It looks like it could almost be a set for 2011.... Keep up the great work KielDaMan!
  21. I grew up with Star Wars- played endlessly with the old kenner figures. Also grew up with Lego. Shame is, I didn't realize how great the two could be together until after Ep. 1 came out. The rest is obsession, whoops, I mean history.
  22. I'd LOVE a bomber, interceptor, or just a plain TIE. I'd buy a few.
  23. I'll second these... and especially a new Biggs!
  24. Thanks,Mr.LegoNinja! Churchill
  25. Thanks The Red Brick. I appreciate it. Churchill
