Down where I live (In Oregon/US) we have See's Candy and Euphoria chocolates. You can get pure chocolate in bulk from both of them, but they can be rather expensive. Belgian chocolate the best ?? Yeay right !! Make me laugh big time !! Why not the Swiss while you'e at it :-D :-P I have to agree with natelite. Several years ago I had the pleasure of eating a bar of Belgian chocolate. It was the creamiest, most delectable stuff I'd ever had at the time, and so far I've yet to come across a tastier bar of chocolate. I still regret that I didn't get the brand name.

Pirates of the Caribbean 3 Hai Peng Junk (Singapore Ship)
Berry Syedow replied to SirNadroj's topic in Pirate MOCs
Hey, that's a great oriental ship! The brick built hull doesn't look half bad, and as usual, those type of sails always get to me. (In a good way. ;-)) I'm also surprised at how well those 1x1 pillars look as the ship's masts. -
Amazing stuff, ZCerberus. Everything looks great, both the architecture and the color scheming. I can't really think of anything else to say that hasn't been said. So, what's your next project? A city/port? :-P Or maybe something smaller?

And here I thought I'd be replying to a German. ;-) (Unless you are?) Anyhow, it's always a pleasure to greet another castle fan. I really like your ghost buster mobile.

Greetings, I bid welcome to thee.

Brickshelf FIND: Really Impressive Dragon
Berry Syedow replied to Starwars4J's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I agree, this is probably one of the best dragons I've seen. It doesn't suffer from that "blocky syndrome" that hampers many brick built beasts, so it looks a lot more realistic. *y* To this magnificent beasty and its talented builder! P.S. ~SirNadroj, those are some pretty nice fig scenes! -
To those who like to stick to unsorted tubs: The main reason I don't like it is because the pieces get scratched up more quickly over time. Those trans pieces are especially vulnerable to this sorting method, but to each their own. Heh. X-D I'm currently using my X-pods to store all of my broken/cracked mini-fig parts.

Hmm, interesting stuff. It looks like they're simply trying to lure more people to subscribe to the brickmaster magazine. (I may be stating the obvious. :-P) I doubt I'll sign up.

That ship is nice, but that tree house is stunning! It almost looks like a miniature from a distance. It doesn't look like the MOC uses very many specialized parts, either, which just goes to show that creativity is the key. I hope we can get a hold of that builder. *y*

I'm in agreement with everyone else. If this theme is of the same quality as Star Wars then we're in for a big treat. The fig alone is brimming with quality, as well as new pieces! These are exciting times! If this theme becomes a smash success then we'll see many more new pieces compared to what we got in the adventurers theme. And if the last wave of Adventurer sets sold poorly it might be a good idea to wait a little longer before reintroducing it. Besides, this liscensing deal will eventually expire, in which case TLC can always revert back to Jonny Thunder and the gang (they could also use all of the new parts made in this theme as well, eh, eh?)

Hello, badgerboy! Those are some beautiful MOCs. What really caught my eyes is that lovely muscle car. It's a thing of beauty!

Good day to you, Barbossa!

I bid thee good luck in securing every Star Wars LEGO product available. Castle is definitely worth dipping your toe in, so to speak.

And another lurker bites the dust. Welcome and enjoy your stay! ;-)

Here are a few more links: LEGO Technic Storage ...And a LUGNET Thread dealing with the woes of sorting and storing: LINK Several days ago I had two of these purchased: They did a good job of getting most of my grey elements and my black roof tiles organized. A few things to note: The plastic drawers are made of a soft semi-transparent plastic that could possibly warp over time. No dividers are included. They can be ordered seperately from the "stack-on.com" website (somehow? I couldn't find an order form *wacko* the last time I checked). The back of the storage unit has two holes in it and is glued onto the frame. This means that if you intend to mount these things on a wall, there is a possiblity that the back could detatch and result in a huge disaster. :-P All in all these are decent and they get the job done. I wouldn't recommend buying these for more than 15 bucks, though. (If I can locate a camera I'll snap a few shots) Glad to be of service. ;-) The problem with wood is that it's either too bulky or it wears out more quickly over time compared to its plastic brethren. I feel inclined to agree with you... This whole box storage system is something I'm trying to avoid so I don't run into the same type of problem of "restacking" that you're describing. :-P But like you said, a nice shelving unit could resolve that issue, for those of us who have the space. ;-)

Grave Stone's Prospector Tex Grimwell
Berry Syedow replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice and cute! I think I prefer the miner without the long beard, though. I like the torso you selected for the miner. What set did you scavenge it from? -
This set sounds more promising then the skeleton ship attack, let's just hope it isn't terribly overpriced. I'm not sure about the troll, though. Even if it is fully articulated (or more so than the last troll) it's still going to be handicapped by the juniorization factor. (As in most of its parts can't be reused like basic bricks.) This is why I'm also not a big fan of the giant dragons. Still, it's good to see TLC explore new directions. By the way, would anyone be interested in trading figs/skeletons for unwanted trolls?

Photo Review: 4499577 Viking Chess Set
Berry Syedow replied to Starwars4J's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The horns on the viking helmets have been glued in all three of the sets I've received so far, one set of which is from late 2006 and two that are from the recent clearance. I understand why the queen's torso needs to be glued, but the horns stay attached pretty well, so the glue just seems like a waste as well as an annoyance. I also had a mishap with one of the queens' arms. Some glue had managed to drip onto the socket of the arm (from the inside of the torso), so when I tried to move the arm, it completely detached from its socket. :-( I'm not going to bother asking for a replacement, though, because it's a pretty minor issue that can be resolved with a bricklink order. (With a bit of prodding I was able to remove the glued socket.) I just wish TLC used a type of glue that didn't melt the plastic (for those of us who like to take stuff apart ;-)) -
Hurrah! Happy Birthday, and may the force be with you! Unless you're fighting the rebellion. In which case, may the force utterly destroy you!

Happy birthday trio! and stuff...

I happened to type *Amen* in some random thread a while ago and one of the admins slapped it on as my title. If this is the best they've got then I must be a really boring guy. ;-)

Hmm, interesting, very interesting. I do like the fact that you can divide some drawers in half (or more) for optimum space efficiency. Still, it looks like these could be less of a hassle...

Ideas for new Classic Castle sets
Berry Syedow replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
So, you favor more historically correct medieval armor and machines of war? I'm sorry for the confusion. I was trying to explain that "apartment" isn't a word used in the medieval period. (I could be wrong, though. :-P) If the building you were describing only houses one family then "Inn" isn't the word I should have chosen, either. Something like "Tudor House" is probably what you're after, aye? Yeah, this is a point that everyone can agree on. TLC has neglected the family aspect of its themes for far too long. Ah, yes, that's the other beautiful aspect of LEGO bricks: reusability! Hopefully the pick a brick will have more castle elements in the future. More "small" or "medium" sets like the one you posted would be most excellent. -
Recently I've been scouring the internet, looking for durable plastic multi-drawer cabinets to store my LEGO goods in. My color preference is white, but grey or black will do. (and if the frame is metal I suppose I could always just spray paint it..) If you have any links or information to share then it's much appreciated. Here are a few of the links I've come across: White Cabinets (These look like what I'm after, but I'm still open to suggestions.) Sear's Web page and Amazon's Web page both have what looks like the same type of generic plastic cabinets I keep seeing in different online stores. These look pretty nice. They have a metal frame: The whole list and One example The last of the bunch, produced by Akro-Mils: Link 1, Link 2 (which I found in one of EB's threads), and Link 3 Hopefully this thread will prove helpful to other people who are also in search of the perfect storage system for their assortment of bricks. :-)
