  1. Since when does Lando have a robotic hand? To be fair I have never come accross that acronym either (and I have read all the SW books ever written).
  2. That is a pointless step to take because you can still buy from other online retailers anyway.
  3. Do you mean online on the Lego store or online everywhere?
  4. What a condescending assumption to make. Since when has Lego been targeting particular groups based on their spending power? If anything the inclusion of sets in each of the price tiers indicates the opposite of what you are assuming. I buy $600+ shoes but I would not consider an $80 Lego set simply because it has a BB8 in it (holidays or not). I agree. Lego is taking the mickey. A blatant attempt to rip people off on the back of the new SW movie. But I suppose we better get used to these tactics because they are going to be used a lot in the months to come and in 2016. Everyone is on the bandwagon. Disney is handing out licences left right and centre. Anything to make money. And who can blame them considering that the world is full of impatient people who want things yesterday. Personally I will wait until the sets go on sale as usual and get them with 20-30% off. The shuttle as well as many of the other sets are going to be done and redone to death in the years to come. No need to rush. Are you on a crusade to increase the hype for these sets or something? What authority have you got to make such definitive statements? As things stand people can only guess or make assumptions. No one knows with certainty if remakes will happen or not. I can bet that even Lego doesn't know at this moment. There is a difference between the torsos of the two officers in the two sets. One has two chest pockets and the other has only one.
  5. As I said your answers throw more fuel to the fire and cause more arguments. You need to stick to the rules yourself and practice what you preach. Stop mini-modding and report stuff to mods instead. I remember a while back when KimT was a moderator and ruled with the iron fist both offenders and minimods were punnished.
  6. Fuppylodders, with all due respect you are like a "spoiler" hound and quite frankly you are getting rather annoying. You are quick to mention that this forum has Rules. However you forget that one of the rules is that if you see a post that is wrong then you report it to the mods rather than try to moderate yourself. Your posts about spoilers or like the one above cause more arguments than anything else. Your reasoning that "I dont want to hear anything about Ep7 unless it comes from official sources" is rather hypocritical in my opinion but it is your right so fair enough. However as other people have said in this day and age nothing is airtight (indeed the whole purpose of a thread like this is to get information before things are released) so you truly need to seal yourself in a cave. As for your question above my initial reaction was "Hey, who are you to decide if it is related or not?". However in the interest of keeping it civilised I will explain to you the reason for my question. I was trying to establish if the Empire's distaste for non-humans was revealed in the official films or in the EU books. Because if it was the films then there could be a chance that Storm troopers in the new film could be a mix of human and non human (or at least humanoids). And since we are getting sets this year from Ep7 then there could also be a chance that we get non human troopers. So as far as I am concerned my question is definitely related and relevant.
  7. Was the Emperor's and Empire's distaste for non-humans something which was disclosed in the main movies or in the EU? Why does that need a spoiler?? It is not disclosing anything about the plot.
  8. Do you guys not get any offers in Holland? There are plenty of shops in the UK (online and otherwise) that have plenty of offers especially during Christmas. I have never bought a Lego set at full price in the past 6 years.
  9. It made me laugh when the guy said "I'm not impressed" at the beginning of that review. I mean, what did he expect? The minifigure to start dancing or something?
  10. UCS Sandcrawler in the sale. Look forward to building it.
  11. You dont however it is a quick process to register and free of charge and you get points for your purchases which gives you further discount.
  12. Fully agree. It is the next UCS set in my to buy list.
  13. Now instead of that Constraction rubish why doesn't lego bring out a lovely helmet like that? It would make a lovely UCS.
  14. Sale has started in UK. One Sandcrawler (with free Yularen and poster) on the way.
  15. I dont own one but I believe that the Death Star is quite fun to build and if I am not mistaken it may be discontinued soon. Slave 1 has only just come out so you could get it at next year's May 4th promotion.
  16. I might get the Sandcrawler if it gets discounted. The Slave 1 is quite new so it can wait for a while.
  17. Does anyone know what the parts are for the spy droid that comes with the Polish Lego Star Wars book please? (SW588)
  18. The Clone Wars for all the hatred it is getting has contributed towards the SW universe quite a lot with various vehicles, characters, etc. It has helped to explain a lot of things that remained a mystery from the 6 films. As for putting CW characters in Rebels...why not?? It makes sense as far as continuity goes and it also is interesting to know what happened to all those iconic clones. Considering the fact that Disney pulled the plug on Clone Wars, the Rebels is the logical place to develop or explain the future of some CW characters.
  19. Some changes are inevitable as they are part of the companies who produce the vehicles. They have to make some improvements in order to improve the vehicles further and to be able to keep the contracts they have (fend off the threat of competitors). There may be 19 years between prequels and ANH however that is my point. Those 19 years are the ones when most new vehicles were purchased and invented and that was what drained the Treasury. The treasury was full at that point because the Galaxy had not seen a war for a thousand years. No one had been making major investments in the war machines industry. So during the prequels was when the most vehicles were invented and purchased. In fact if you notice there arent a lot of major changes in warships during the Original trilogy (compared to the prequels). And let's not forget that during the prequels there was a lot of other parties (Trade Federation, Banking Union and all that) that contributed toward the variety of the warships. Believe me, owning every single book/story that was written for the EU, I too was upset when Disney took over and dismissed the EU stories. However I am glad that now a canon has been set and am willing to give the new films a chance. As I've said, a lot of people are judging them based on two teaser trailers (and virtually no other news) that we have got so far. Let's not be like some fanatic original trilogy fans whom hate everything else. If it was left to them we would not have had anything SW at all apart from the 3 films.
  20. Corydoras, I can understand your point and agree that quite a few of the vehicles that we have seen so far seem to be the same with ust slight modifications. However I think you are forgetting the fact that there is only a 30 year gap between the events of the Ep6 and Ep 7. it is truly a very short time for vehicles to be updated to totally different models. After all a Star Destroyer is not a Peugeot which you can change every 3 years. Especially when you consider the cost to produce one I dont think whatever army owns them will be in a rush to replace them with brand new models every 10 years or so. Considering the fact that the war has been going on for 30 years (as the trailers so far suggest) I would have thought that the Treasury of the Imps and Rebels would be in quite a poor state to fund purchasing of new models. Plus some of these vehicles have been tried and tested and proved to be quite successful in war. We all know how effective the x wing is, so why replace it for something else? You give the example of the iPhone and yet you seem to have completely missed the point that something sucessful doesnt get totally replaced but rather gradually improved. The iPhone is the perfect example. It's not about the outside, it's about what it can do. So it was expected that quite a lot of the vehicles would be the same with slight modifications. On the other hand Disney needs to keep some links to the old films for the sake of continuity and therefore the fans need to see familiar vehicles/characters. On top of that we have only seen tiny snippets of what's to come so the likelihood of new vehicles being introduced is very high in my opinion.
  21. What are those little bits near the speeder? Are they supposed to represent droids, etc?
  22. Is the ship in the third picture a two pronged star destroyer or am I seeing it wrong?
  23. Anyone know if the May 4th discount promotion will apply to the Sandcrawler or Slave 1 UCS sets?
