Ah, of course, the good ol' consumerist mentality. It ain't that simple though. Quite a few out there rush to get the sets just so they can be the first to post pictures, reviews and what not just to get those 5 minutes of fame. -

Why are people so desperate to get the sets as soon as they come out?? They just create a hype unnecessarily. -

Oh, have my prayers finally been answered by the Lego gods? That is an absurd size. Unless Lego are planning to sell it to castle owners. Even 1m x 1m would be way too big. -

I've bought pretty much everything from last year and the only ones I haven't yet are the Boba Fett helmet and the Razor Crest. I do hope Lego don't discontinue them so soon. It would be a shame. As for Argos, I am not quite sure what possessed them to sell the Lego Sw stock at such massive discounts. Perhaps they were trying to clear stock prior to shutting down quite a few of their stores? But considering that stock has disappeared pretty much everywhere int he UK I think there is some sort of "production not being able to keep up with demand" issue. -
You are right, I never looked at the date they were posted.

Does anyone know what the score is with Razor Crest set in the UK? Is it just temporarily out of stock or has it been discontinued? -
That's your opinion I am mainly a minifigure collector and have been using Brickset for years. Absolutely superb website and database for a minifigure collector. Wishful thinking. It may be free of Main movies but there will be plenty of series and ofshoots which Disney have anounced. Not to mention that Lego havent even covered The Mandalorian properly An impressive list put together. Thank you

Thank you. It looks like there is a shortage generally of these sets and I assume due to the Covid interruptions in the production/transport chains. It is the first time that i have seen shops being sold out of most Lego SW sets. For example, John Lewis is sold out of most sets and has only about 3 in stock I believe. I just hope that lego does not decide to retire the above sets soon.

Thank you very much. Very helpful.

Just wanted to check in regards to which sets are exclusives in what shops in the UK please. Specifically: The I-TS transport The Razor Crest The Tie fighter Pilot helmet Anyone happens to know? Also, are the 3 Helmet sets due to be discontinued any time soon?

I fully agree with this statement. PT has got its fair share of fans (myself included) and has provided a wealth of characters and vehicles for Lego to make. Without the PT the Lego Star Wars line would be substantially more repetitive than it is. And there are still plenty of vehicles and characters left from the PT to translate into Lego form (Trade federation ships and Kaminoans spring to mind). -

Does that include yourself? Considering that you are the one throwing comments like "random users" and "aggressive, condescending users". And you are confusing order with silence. I am not asking to silence others but rather expressing my view that discussion needs to be ordered. Having a free for all will actually cause more damage in my view. -

You seem to be basing your opinion on this thread which has 51 pages so far. In previous years this thread has run into 300-400 pages. You try and navigate those if you are someone who visits once a week and I bet you'd change your mind. I just don't understand why people find it so difficult to stick to the topic?? If they want to discuss something that does not belong to this topic then they simply got the other thread and talk about it. You say mod dictatorship pushed you away and I say that Mod liberalism pushed me and plenty others away. Hence why I say that no matter what the choice, there will always be poeple that are not happy with it. I remember the days when KimT used to be a mod and there weren't many issues like this. And he could be liberal when needed but at the same time was not scared to rule with the iron fist when required. -

I've been a member of the Star Wars forum here since 2009 and visit this forum every couple of days. So don't let my low post count deceive you into thinking that I am some "random user". During the 11 years of my membership I have seen plenty of discussions here to know that no matter what style is adopted for the threads there will always be people who will be unhappy with it and will moan. I am neither trying to mini mod nor am I trying to shut down discussion. I am merely stating the reality. As far as I am aware a new thread can be started for "Vaguely relevant topic". You say harms no one but I beg to differ. I have seen the days when people would discuss "vaguely relevant topics" over 10 or more pages and those of us who like to visit this thread in order to find out what is happening, had to go through pages and pages of irrelevant crap to find a nugget of information. And that put plenty of regular readers off and on several ocassions through the years there have been complaints. In fact the current style is the result of all those years of complaints. And if you seriously think that there will be "months long gaps" on this thread you need to do some research and will find out how mistaken you are. In my personal opinion the only thing that has a chance of working here is Mod dictatorship (yes, I am serious). Otherwise it would be a nightmare to control the wild mob with all their wild speculations, wish lists and whatever tom, dick and harry that they start to discuss. I had not seen @MKJoshA 's post asking to debate this so wasn't aware he had given green light to discuss. Nevertheless, my last couple of posts are not attempts to minimod. On the contrary they are my opinions on the subject that the mod has asked to discuss. -

It is very good news indeed. However, for us Lego SW fans what would be beneficial is, if the creators of SW movies moved to either 1000 years before or 3-500 years after the current trilogy. That way they would be able to come up with new ship designs (both small and capital ships) which can then be translated into Lego. Otherwise we will just see re-issues of the same 'ol ships. I am hoping that the Visions series will achieve that to some extent. -

On top of that add another third thread where people can whinge about how little or how many threads they have. Because that is what has been happening here over the last two pages. -
Indeed, very much so. Considering that Lego has limited the number of purchases of this set to two per person I can only assume that the free lightsaber sets were very limited in numbers. Unless, the speculators are using sophisticated bots to place multiple orders. Either way it is bad news for the regular collector. It sounds like that is the best thing to do. Definitely can wait until next year if needs be. The points don't interest me anymore now that they are worthless (I mean, they have no monetary value but all you get is the cr**py offers instead).

I suppose Harry Potter theme doesnt carry the same premium in the price as Star Wars does. My gripe is with the fact that Lego introduce an offer of a free lightsaber if you buy early and make so few lightsabers that they go within the hour. These kind of marketing ploys are what puts me off a brand.

Yeah, all 5 of them by the sounds of it.

Ah right. I'll wait to see if the saber is included in the box when the set is delivered. If not then the set shall be going back straight away and i will wait for the next offer.
