streifen replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Great display rack for your minifigs! looks like I can "steal" some idea here. Thanks to Will and Wokajablocka in advance! -
I need to get that Rock Band set! That guitar is similar to the Bo Diddley guitar. http://www.gretschguitars.com/products/index.php?partno=2515405515 Now we have Flying V and this guitar. Hope to get an Explorer and Les Paul next!

streifen replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
only 3 Lederhosen guys? Looks like I got to hunt (read: feel) for more. -
Great interesting street! The buildings are superb! By the way, how many m2 (i.e. area) is your MOC city (or town)?
-
planning so far ahead when this current one is not over yet?
-
Of course you have to have them! it is not every year that we have the olympics, much less one with Team GB printed.

I remembered I was registered as aVIP member when I bought the Pet Shop in May 2011 at the Westfield Lego Store. The salesperson just asked me if I want to sign up and within minutes, I got the member card. This will be similar to what TheLegoDr has mentioned above. Am I right?

How about the Royal Guard? You can't just have 1 or 2 of them. I have "felt" my way to 30 of them. -

When doing MOC Modular Buildings, open your eyes when you are out on the street. looking at surrounding buildings and architecture. Take photos or jot down what comes to mind when you see something that can be "Legofied". Have a look/browse at Architecture books and/or travel books (DK travel guides have lots of photos). All the pointers given out in this and the above posts sound like a lot of work but is really fun when you get the hang of it.

Nice use of the skis (if i am not mistaken) for the lamppost! The windows at the roof is smart! Regarding the 1x2 brick, remember to get the ones with the 2 technic holes for your mini modulars. the ones with a single hole is not suitable.
-
nice MOC! instantly recognisable!
-
The lintels of the windows are really well done! I like the brick-built hospital symbol! All the best to your entry!
-
Some last minute adjustments before the deadline: I have made the colors of the ramp more uniform.
-
That dome roof on the main entrance is just ! The facade details are spectacular too! and to see the whole thing in minifig scale is AMAZING!!
-
That is 1 nice urban zoo! I like the "ZOO" footprint on the walkway! Great use of the Bunny minifig(I have no idea where to use mine!)! Appropriately you have placed your MOC next to the Pet Shop. ease of convenience in getting pet food and accessories! All the best!
-
That is one nice MOC! I like that it looks like 2 buildings when it is actually one only! The facade is beautiful! Do I spy an illegal business operation upstairs?
-
Thanks for all the nice comments! Legocrazy81, the computer nerd is just watching in admiration at the skateboarders. Don't feel bad for him. He may be on the ramp soon.
-
Honey, I shrunk the Amsterdam cafe! your MOC is just amazing! the details and the colours!
-
Your MOC has a retro feel to it! even the colours are so Esso! oh ya and Brick On, LT!

B-OM-30E In view of the need to cater to needs of skateboarders in my LEGO town, I have done up a Skate Park for them. In fact roller-bladers and stunt-bikers are just as welcomed! Here is my entry for Modular Madness Category 2: Parks and Rec! Enjoy! The front. With the pizza/sausage vendor attending to a skateboarder. Skateboards are leaned against the perimeter fencing. A built-in ladder on the right gives access to the top. The tunnel under the left ramp lets you reach the other side of the park without interfering with skating on-going. The plan view. The back view. Some makeshift/home-made ramps have been brought onto site by fellow skateboarders to warm up or try new tricks before going up the big one! All comments are welcomed!
