nice little garden! Plenty of features in a small space... By the way, where is that green door leading to? This is the Secret Garden (a book I read when I was still small many many years ago)? oh...and come on...be nice, let the girl enter the garden. Edit: read above that the door leads to owners' home.

Looks like a scene out of the Battle of Britain film (1969) when the pilot (an Allied one) parachuted onto a field and was surrounded by farmers! Really great diorama you have put up here!

Your Minifig display looks like the blister card of Star Wars Action Figures. If you have the time, are you able to show us the back and side of this stand? Thank you so much!

Price increases in the secondary market
streifen replied to 1980-Something-Space-Guy's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
i would have gotten it even if it had been released without the special Boba Fett. For Star Wars, it is normally the set and whatever comes with it that counts instead of just the minifigures (that's for me.) -
MOC(s) - Civilization Series - Machu Picchu
streifen replied to Matija Grguric's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Your Civiliazation MOCs are just insanely life-like! Considering they are on 32x32 plates, that is really some work you have put in! -
What I normally do is I give the buyers an estimated postage. If it is lower than what they have paid after deduction of your postage paid and other packing materials and any ancillary costs, I will refund them the extra. If it is higher, I absorb but normally it is a refund from me.

the facade took my breath away! So elegant! The colors used are really good!

I have definitely done both ends of the spectrums. everytime i look at a set, i always look out for parts that i can use or minifigs which are useful or i like/need. in the end, the actual set never gets built as the parts are used elsewhere.

That is 1 nice parrot! put it another km away, i would have thought it is a real bird!

JackJonespaw, that is a great way of doing that drum. Thanks for the idea. BasOne, incidentally I was also thinking of ways to do a drum a few days ago. Thanks for starting this thread!

streifen replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The flat cap can be found in the Artist and Mime Artist from earlier series. -
that is 1 nice train station! The benches are great(Permission to steal idea on bench! )!So is the queueing section! I see that hungry passengers have been taken care of with the coming-soon F&B outlet.

1 more question from me. Does the backlane for the 32x32 Modular have to be 8-stud wide? or can we be flexible with a narrower one? Thank you! EDIT: Added in 32x32 Modular in response to Rick's reply below. Thanks, Rick!

Good LEGO stores in London, any recommendations?
streifen replied to Out of Sight's topic in Community
There is a LEGO Store in Westfield Shopping Centre (Station: White City or Wood Lane). They have a PAB Wall too. Other than that, I guess you may need to look at Hamley's. Not too sure about other locations. -
(MOC) Paco Loco robs the Mid west Bank

indeed the Mariachis are great! the skin-tone is also appropriate with the moustaches! -
Long may the CMF series continue! I am always looking forward to their release especially if the series has what I want. e.g. Series 5 (Royal Guard), Series 7 (Bagpiper), the Baseball Player (an earlier series) and also the Footballer. I am not shy to say that i feel my way through a few outlets for multiples of the above minifgs. Afterall 1 bagpiper cannot do much. We probably only see 1 man playing bagpipes during a funeral, basking on the street (well, I saw 1 in Edinburgh).

Besides Lego, I do triathlons, marathons and ultra-marathons. I also read when I get some spare time.

Pictorial Review of Summer 2012 Star Wars Sets:
streifen replied to Sir von Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you for the pictorial review! The Jabba's Palace and Skiff are must-gets for me! Just wondering, what is that "diving board" at the back of the palace for? -
Review: 9474 The Battle of Helm's Deep
streifen replied to Lego Otaku's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks for the review! Though I am not into LOTR, this set looks good for parts! -
I was at Windsor last year (May 2011). 1 day was enough for me because I did not take in all the rides and did not really toured the whole place. I think there was a promotion on a 2-day pass then. I would think you may want to go early when they just open so you can tour the whole place till closing time (5pm? or is it 6pm?). Then you decide if you want to come back the next day. I have not been to Billund before. Have fun and I am sure you will!

The colour scheme of the house is really nice! matching throughout. Forever obssessed with facade, i like your detailed exterior!
-
that Star Ferry you have made is really nice! The Clock Tower is also well-made (from the small corner photo I can see).
-
thank you for the review! I have this set for at least half a year but it is still unopened and in my storeroom. at least now with this review, i can see what i am missing out on by not opening it yet.

that is 1 nice ship! the details on the exterior of the bridge (is that the right term for these old ships?) is really well made! looks well-protected too with the amount of cannons on board!

This MOC is so colourful! The guards on the towers must be looking on in envy! Nice trees!
