i hope this has not been mentioned yet. if u want to make ur snack bar complete with food, consider selling kebab. for the kebab, you can use the wooden club (in IJ series the Cairo boxset has one). attach to a holder and u have a kebab stand. include condiments containers.

Great MOC there!! Are the roads built from scratch? coz i see them 1 brick thick.

Some shops in Singapore still have GG, CC and MS. my humble word of advice is to get it once you see it. when it's gone, the prices will rocket or worse still, no one is selling it on the secondary market.

The German WWII helmets were more of a field grey colour. alternatively use some putty on existing helmets to do a Waffen-SS camouflage scheme. As for the screws on the sides of those helmets, they do look un-WWII. I remembered (when i was doing plastic modelling), the sides were insignas of Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe or SS.

Use a heated mini-screwdriver and press on the part of the armour that you want dented. as for burns, as suggested before, use a pen which has "smudge-able" ink and just put a bit on the minifig and use a wee bit of tissue to smudge it up.

Indiana Jones' hat will be a better headwear.

u're right about the China part. but i think Polish Guy is trying to show his minifigs wearing japanese clogs or sandals. by the way, i do not understand why the street level is 1 brick high. that would have used up some amount of bricks to raise the level. nonetheless, i like the MOC and the Jap house next to it.

The orange prison uniform is great. u can do an MOC of those bad guys in Con-Air!!

Green Grocer is the best for me. With the detailed interior and colourful display (of veggies, fruits and cakes), it just seems to make the whole set come alive. Cafe Corner comes a close second but without any detailed interior, it just cannot overtake Green grocer for me...

u have done a great moc there. just 1 question: where did you get the brown heads and hands? i can't seem to find them.

I would like to see: 1) an old-school diner complete w/ jukebox, alternating tiling, etc 2) an open-air large-scale market w/ all the works e.g. fish, vege, fruits etc 3) ... (ran out of ideas).

all the sets i buy, i open. as mentioned by others, no point in paying a lot of money to stare at the box-art & not being able to appreciate what's inside. however recently due to lack of space, i have bought a few sets but not open yet. they will eventually be opened when i sort some space out for them. go on!! open the sets & have fun!!

it has to be the grey plates!! in fact i much prefer the grey plates with roads from the 80s. the pavements were wider. now the pavements are narrower. maybe it is to widen the roads to suit the construction sets.

I added the MS to my GG and CC. It adds colour to the whole set because of the veggies and fruits. on the whole i think it is better than the Cafe Corner which does not have any interior details.

The tree is huge!! if u put it next to the CC or GG, it is definitely worth saving!! i spotted a chef in there. great save from the community!!

if u are doing a new rancor, in addition to the proportions of the limbs, add in "saliva dripping" frm the mouth. that was what was happening when it had Luke cornered before it was smashed by the gate.
