i would think there is not much of a shortcut besides having partly-assembled sets in your tub. as mentioned by "Peterab", do the "unique" ones 1st e.g. boats. then go on to Fire Station (Red bricks) and proceed. I would think it can be fun rather than "headache" as you get to "replay" your sets again. Always look on the bright side of life.

the real building looks like a copy of your MOC.

I would think the best way to do MOC for modular houses is to get creator houses (for quantities of bricks in the same colour) and buckets of bricks. for more specialised parts, get from shops/bricklink/whereever. Keep your modular houses. taking them out just does seem right. my 2cts

'The Red Brick', just saw ur beach and now this farm. you must be living in a big house to have space for this layout. agree that your farm may be a wee bit big and spaced-out. unless u do some "crops" in there, u may want to shrink ur green land.

'fred67', i am also encountering the same problem. I am trying to sell off some MISB sets to raise some money. however due to posting/packing issues, i can only sell local (btw I am in Singapore). also sending big MISB boxes tend to sky-rocket the posatge which will in turn scare away any buyers.

i would think LEGO did come out too many sets this time round in a very short space of time. was just at my local store last weekend. saw the new Star Wars in. PoP and Toy Story already there with Ben10. looking at the prices of the new Star Wars, i am really considering if i need to get (only the Original Trilogy though for me) as pockets are shrinking.

The paint will generally rub off if there is friction as in the case of tight limbs for the minifigs. It happened to me too. The only way u can minimise it is to ensure that your paint is sufficiently thinned but still of the same color before applying. also only apply to areas where it is visble to eyes. do not over paint it.

Green Grocer is my favourite!! Detailed interior and has a lively vibe to it. If Cafe Corner has interior details, then it could have pipped GG. My least favourite is the FB though i bought 1 set to complete the series. still waiting for Emporium to reach my shores.

those decals on the arms look hard to do. Great work there!!

i only collect sets from Ep IV - VI so venator is out for me. as it stands, i am still some way away from collecting all the sets from the above Episodes.
