  1. yesterday I finished my junior year of high school, got a hair cut, and raided Icecrown Citadel 25 with my guild and one-shotted most of the bosses we took on(only did 6) I even got a nice drop, bringing my rogue up to the 4th best geared rogue on the server horde side.
  2. my factions consist of the Crownies, The Vikings, Falcon Knights(blue KK2), Bear Knights(red KK2), Monkey knights(KK2), Wolf Knights(KK2), a dark faction consisting of Vladek's forces centered around his fortress, Orcs, Skeletons, Dwarves, Blood Elves, the Undead, and a few time lost individuals(pirate and imperial). The Crownies(with a triumvirate of kings) have a loose alliance with the knights from KK2, who themselves form a loose confederation under the leadership of King Mathias and his advisors, also allied with the Vikings and Dwarves and Blood Elves. Vladek's forces are allied with the Trolls and Undead. When I obtain the Kingdoms sets, the Lion Knights will form a faction that is a dysfunctional version of the Crownies, who they are a rival faction to. The Dragon Knights will be neutral. Of course all of this is only true in the case of my household.
  3. happy birthday, and may your presents contain many legos
  4. gender: male Occupation: shepherd type of headgear: brown civil war era hat facial expression: gray bearded face seen in a lot of the construction sets clothing: flannel shirt and jeans accessories: dog printed to look like a border collie, some new sheep, and a silver stud to be used as a whistle
  5. can't wait. I'm really considering getting the Dragon's BP. The lion knights seem a little cliche
  6. another thing that I'll be doing to prepare for when he comes is building a downstairs bathroom from scratch, which will be my big project for the summer.
  7. there's actually and IKEA a few hours south of me in Atlanta. My family plans on getting a few pieces of furniture from there to help accommodate the exchange student(and my Lego collection).
  8. If I remember correctly, my first castle set was 6099 Traitor Transport with Cave. I've lost a few of the pieces(cave's somewhere in my closet), I still use the Fright Knight and dragon regularly with my displays.
  9. One of the biggest reasons that I came back to the Forums was that I'll be needing advice on storage and such. The reason? My family will be hosting an exchange student from Sweden for the next school year, starting in early August. He and I will be sharing a room, and as such, I will be needing to figure out how to maximize display space in accommodation for another teenager. The reason my family decided to host a family is because my mom is an American born Swede(grandparents born in Sweden), and we hope to learn a bit more about our heritage. The student will be coming on July 24th and will be attending his sophomore year while I attend my senior year.
  10. can I have access again? I've got a lot of spare time coming up this summer, so I plan to review a few sets(Vikings, KK2, Bionicle)
  11. very funny! All that's missing now is a giant black monolith
  12. 300, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the LotR movies, and the Star Wars Original trilogy
  13. gender: female occupation: crazy cat lady type of headgear: disheveled hair in gray facial expression: female version of Dr. Inferno's face clothing: generic civilian attire accessories: about 20 cats
  14. as far as using the large legs for giants, why not make giant barbarians, like the Vrykul in WoW? http://www.wowwiki.com/Vrykul
  15. here's a more recent picture of myself using the 3d glasses that came with a recent Lego magazine
  16. Shouldn't the chicken from MMV suffice?
  17. I was always a fan of the traditional bows since the crossbows don't look as nice on minifigs
  18. more green knights, peasants, and a leader for the green knights
  19. my first was this small plane that my grandmother gave me when my first sister was born. I still have some of the pieces, despite the fact that at that age I only took Lego sets apart
  20. I'd love to see any type of big cat (tiger, lynx, lion, liger, panther, leopard, etc) and sheep.
  21. I wait til I get home. I then barricade myself in my room, taking special care to ensure my dogs aren't there to step on the instructions. For some smaller sets I may open them in the car, but only to look at the bags/unbagged pieces and instructions
  22. where would you guys say this set is in relation to the Alamut? Better or worse?
  23. the worst I think in the U.S. are the E-surance commercials(SUCH BAD ANIMATION! THEY MAKE MY EYES BLEED) and the Free Credit Report.com commercials
