  1. So since I already have Drawbridge Defense(I've had it for almost a year), I will probably get Prison Tower
  2. We could just say it's a really powerful force push, like Yoda did in Ep. II. That make people happy?
  3. TLC customer service is awesome. I've used them many times in the past and the parts came after less than a week in some cases (some were marked "Time-sensitive-material), so go right ahead with ordering some replacement parts.
  4. training room maybe?
  5. Sounds like a good use for the pieces used for the players in the Games sets.
  6. Of course it will! Orcs are the anti-hippy, and so they devour all types of meat including beef!
  7. As far as the price is with this, there could just be a general Japanese price increase. When I was in Japan last summer, I noticed that a few Lego sets were much more expensive than in the U.S. For example, Skeleton Prison carriage cost around 4,000 Yen when I was there, and it's 20$ in the U.S.
  8. I like to lay 2x4 bricks on my floor at night to prevent rude awakenings. Nothing worse than stepping on a Lego brick with bare feet
  9. Any sets that are under 50$ that would provide an entertaining build and be usable with a Castle setup? I've gotten really bored this summer so I thought that running(literally, it's within walking distance) over to the local Wal-Mart to satisfy my building craze. I've already got the FftD. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
  10. wow, thanks for bringing this issue to light. Good thing I'll be going to Georgia's Lego store in late August/Early September to be able to make sure I get different figs.
  11. I'm really surprised that TLC hasn't given us a school bus yet, and I think an official school bus set would sell very well among children and fans of the city theme. I too, miss the cows in 2010. You'd think that the horse trailer set would increase the chances of TLC making an official stable.
  12. that shuttle just looks epic. My guess is that it will be similar in function to the large Death Star set.
  13. As far as Kingdoms goes, I hope to see a new faction or two introduced in the same way as the Dwarves and Trolls were around the Holidays a few years back. For City, I foresee a revamp of the usual(fire station, police station, etc). Hero Factory will probably continue, considering how it's the successor to Bionicle and we all know how long that line lasted. With Star Wars I'd like to see another MF(we haven't had a non UCS version in years), along with a classic TIE fighter. Just my 2 cents.
  14. I use the same excuse to explain it to my parents(also use a similar method to persuade my parents to let me play WoW)! I should really show this to my dad! He's an eBay addict, so bricklink shouldn't be too much of a stretch for his mind. As I approach adult status(18 in August) and college(this will be my senior year of high school), I look forward to the shift in attitudes towards this beloved hobby, and like the idea of buying a large set and building it in my dorm room with the door open to allow others to see. I've also had a great support group, consisting of my mother, grandmothers, and teachers(esp. the History teachers). I don't see the addiction as a turn off for women, since the women I'm interested in seem to have bubbly and nerdy personalities that are open to hobbies such as Lego.
  15. I clearly have OCLD and my mother can attest to that. In my spare time I'll go to the Lego section of Target or Wal-Mart and organize the sets down to the smallest impulse. I've also banned any of my family members from buying products from Megabrands, for fear of fueling that monstrosity of a company.
  16. Very cool! I like the use of fire/plume pieces as plants and the inclusion of the dog is great.
  17. Very cool. When I first saw it I thought that it resembled some of the HotWheels cars I owned as a small child with the asymmetrical design.
  18. I'm not sure if we have a topic for cool lego-related youtube finds, but this video I found of a working Lego printer blew me away.
  19. I voted for the Greek due to it's pure awesomeness, with the surfer and lifeguard tied for second. The surfer's hair will be useful for making a sigfig for myself.
  20. 2, 7, 9, 10, and 11 are my favorites.
  21. very funny. I always hated(in the annoying kind of way) the Tonberries in FF. Cactuar FTW!
  22. happy birthday, and may you be gifted with many buckets.
  23. very cool! can't wait to see the finished design.
  24. While the discontinuation of the Star Wars line is a big bummer for me, the fact that a Legoland will open in Florida(a few hours drive for me from north of Atlanta) more than makes up for it and will make a great graduation gift for me.
