How open are you about your Lego passion?

That goes with one of my philosophies, if they can't tolerate it, they're not worth it. -

My family fully supports my hobby. When my grandmothers came down for my high school graduation this past May, they were just in awe of all the things I have built. When I have friends come over they take interest, having played with the medium as children. And my peers, they've always thought I was weird so it doesn't makecmuch of a differencevif I'm open about this hobby. -
Post about Cartoons and Anime you like

Which is why I said like. -
Something I find that works well for that ink problem is by using a paint marker. They produce deeper colors and don't fade very much. The only problem is that they can be hard to come by. My local hobby shop runs out of them very quickly.

Very nice! I can see the influences from FF XII in it, seeing as how I played the Megabloks out of it. I like how you used the space under the upper portion.

It's like it has become a scifi version of Family Guy. -

I've been watching quite a bit of anime lately, consisting of Bleach, the new anime on adult swim called Durarara- it has really good writing and draws you in after an episode or two. I've also been watching FMA Brotherhood on Adult Swim, which I find to be much better than the original FMA series, since it draws more from the manga. And I have also been rewatching the classic Gundam UC series. And then of course there's the American animation I watch. Most I find to be pretty bad nowadays, with the only good ones being Family Guy, South Park, and Futurama. -
Are there any recent HF sets that have similar construction to the old Bionicle sets? I tried Stormer and Surge 2.0, and they just didn't feel right. Are the villains any better?

Very cool MOC. I like how you used the PotC compasses as steps on the throne. Why is there a Dragon prison carriage in the courtyard?

Have you given any thought to do the Ver. Ka renditions? They seem like they would be easier to do especially in Shenlong's case, since the arm doesn't extend.

Lego Spongebob Squarepants 2011 Discussion Thread
HumanPackMule replied to buddy's topic in LEGO Licensed
It seems as though these were only being marketed as a way to get Sandy and Plankton minifigs at a lower price point. I think the let set Sandy came in was around 40 usd. -
The only way that I see Lego doing any fighting genre license would be if they made them the same way the Ben 10 sets were. And we all know how successful that was.

I've recently become addicted to the website Cracked.com. I can just read their articles for hours on end.

[MOC] Leviathan, a Cancer-class warship
HumanPackMule replied to Khorne's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
it's from the CMF series 4 gnome -
That's how I started with my sorting. As far as unwanted minifigs go, why not the CMF 3 race car driver or the CW Anakin figures they seem to give us in every other set?
-
Or do it in a family space such as a living room or kitchen. If not that, ask neighborhood children to help and pay them with unwanted minifigs.

When I returned to the site this past week, I found it appropriate to change my name to HumanPackMule, which is my gamer tag rather than the name of a WoW character seeing as how I no longer play said game.

What was the last movie you watched?
HumanPackMule replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Seeing as how one of the driving(no pin intended) forces behind Cars 2 was the fact they could produce massive amounts of merchandise, I would not be surprised if they did take that route. -

To go for a stud less rear, why not try using a similar technique to what was used on Jabba's Sail Barge. I think that could help to achieve what you're aiming at. -
I recently sorted out my collection as well. Trust me, the results are worth it.

I don't see a Black Panther movie being a good idea, seeing as how there has been a small Black Panther Party in the U.S. which caused a bit of controversy.

I don't know what looks nicer: the castle elements or the shelving unit. Were the lights in place before or after you made the shelves?
-
Very cool. I like the scene where the dead guy is being fished up.

Which theme/subtheme did you miss and regret?
HumanPackMule replied to BeKindRewind's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Miss: Vikings and Bionicle( HF just doesn't do it for me. I miss the sets that required more than just snapping limb segments together and slapping armor shells on.) Regret: KK I and Pirates (07-09) -
Yeah, just look at all the people selling them on eBay.
