  1. I love what you are doing with these!
  2. Thanks!
  3. Cheers all, but which micro do you mean? The top and bottom are both micro. I presume you mean the surface build?
  4. Jycho Tyrus had been given a bit of relief from the usual day to day work he was used to. He'd been told by HQ that one of the chief starship techies in Strato Base on the icy world of Marden wanted to speak to him. While Tyrus thought it slightly excessive that he should need to speak to the man in person, he was happy to get away from daily life for a bit. 'Consider it a week off' HQ had said. However just as he was about to board a shuttle bound for Marden, Tyrus was greeted by a short fat man, who shuffled in front of him to block his entry to the shuttle, and pointed in the direction of one of the G17-Miner ships, abruptly saying: "That one's for you. Off to Marden."."So that was really why they wanted me to go to Marden." Tyrus thought. Andromeda's Gates: Marden by Lord Tyrus, on Flickr After a 13 hour flight in the lumbering craft, Tyrus set the ship down on the snowy surface, as indicated by the mech on guard, and set the drill to proceed to drill into the ground, as Strato Base had ordered. After another few hours of watching over the drill, he climbed out and proceeded to the lift to travel to floor -14. Andromeda's Gates: Marden by Lord Tyrus, on Flickr He greeted the man working at a PC: "You wanted to see me." Andromeda's Gates: Marden by Lord Tyrus, on Flickr The guy turned from his computer. "No! Who are you? I haven't asked to see anyone!" It was as Tyrus had thought. "I'm Jycho Tyrus. It seems there has been an error. I'll be off now." "Wait. Jycho Tyrus? I've heard of you, apparently, you're one of the better pilots, one of the few who hasn't been hit by an asteroid or eaten by a giant space slug!" So that was why there were so few pilots... Andromeda's Gates: Marden by Lord Tyrus, on Flickr The techie continued: "I have a job for you." He hit a button on his keyboard, and a giant holo-display appeared. "Our base is the orange. You see those yellow dots, they are great sources of biomass. We need biomass, and you are the perfect candidate to get them. However, it isn't that simple. See those red areas, those are great magnetic rocks under the snow that'll send your ship crashing straight into the ground, and that'll hurt. Watch out for them. Speaking of ships, I haven't shown you what you'll be driving..." Before Tyrus could protest, the technician walked straight past him and activated another holo-display, this time, a 3D model of a spaceship. Andromeda's Gates: Marden by Lord Tyrus, on Flickr "What do you think of her? She's codenamed Silent Killer. You can see why. She's my latest project." But before Tyrus could answer, he was being whisked away towards the door. "Off you go, see you later!" Andromeda's Gates: Marden by Lord Tyrus, on Flickr Suddenly the ground shook, and both men were thrown to the floor. "It's just the underground mining operations." The technician said, but he looked doubtful. Tyrus also doubted this. Then the lights flickered, then darkness. A large roar filled Tyrus' ears, then he felt himself drifting into unconsciousness... * * * And here's a picture of the whole build: Andromeda's Gates: Marden by Lord Tyrus, on Flickr
  5. I like the idea of a gun that fires burning megablocks! Love the build, some great little details here and there, but where am I?!
  6. Great idea! Love the name of the missile, there is no peace until the enemies of Kawashita are destroyed! Any chance for some clearer photos?
  7. Can you hold on a week? I need to finish my Tatooine story, with a freebuild. Don't worry, I'm still building for Kawashita too!
  8. Episode VIII has just been unlocked from the top of the sub-forum, I guess that means episode IX is about to come out! Unfortunately, I haven't got round to building a conclusive freebuild to my episode entry yet! @Markus, yes, a lot of us certainly have drifted over to AG. That's what kept me from building another freebuild.
  9. Yes there's a whole basic editor, resize, crop rotate etc., and the 'share' button lets you have a BBcode of whatever size you need. Nice build btw.
  10. Yeah, it's a bit palm tree-like, and they've been around for ages. I think I'll look at some more dinosaur era fauna, it would fit in nicely with my future builds, thanks for the inspiration! And who doesn't like dinosaur-related things?
  11. Using basically the only purple bricks I have that aren't studs...
  12. Fantastic ship, inspired by one of Bob's builds?
  13. IMG_0146 by Lord Tyrus, on Flickr Jycho Tyrus had been assigned another mission by Kawashita High Command. It was fairly simple, check the progress of the water filtration facilities dotted around the main grassland continent of Aeristus. It was far from interesting, but it was a lot more preferable to doing one of the more hands-on jobs that needed doing. Tyrus was glad he had the quick reflexes and a sharp mind needed to be a pilot in the Kawashita Core Fleet. Once he had landed his craft in a patch of stubbly grasses, he headed out towards a small building and met with a man who was far less lucky. Didje Flack was a driver, and had been one of the first asked to operate the filtration facilities on Aeristus. He had been working for 2 months already, having to constantly unblock the pipes once, even twice a day. Tyrus soon found this out as he faced complain after complaint from the worker as he typed some commands into the console. After a quick examination of the data gathered by the facility, along with a water sample, he headed back towards his ship. This was going to be a long week... Sorry about the rushed story, I didn't have much time to write it... More pictures below.
  14. Thanks for sharing this, I like the concept of actual tribes worshipping different animals, and embodying them in a ritual, with lion headdresses and the like. I personally would have preferred that to what was actually released...
  15. Oh my word! :wub:This is quite something, almost MOC quality! I'm not sure whether I'll get it, but I'm sure anyone who does will greatly enjoy it, the build looks good, and I can see some nice techniques in there too. Well done LEGO!
  16. Great build, especially that landscape and border!
  17. Very nice work here. Love the outpost!
  18. Love the story! I like build, the mechs look good, and the exploding aliens look great!
  19. I love your character's incompetence!
  20. Very nice build! Great design.
  21. I transfer all of my credits to NuckELBerg. Now I'm broke...
  22. Wow, this is a great rendition of the snowspeeder! You have just bumped the T-47 higher on my 'to do' list!
  23. Wow, great idea, and great build!
