  1. Funny that Sariel brings up the Xerion, seeing as it's the set I'd use as a point of comparison here. The price for the Deere (insert 'dear' joke here) is a major consideration, seeing as I bought 42054 for around £90, and that comes with a log, and an alternate build - sure, it's not a full B-model, but still. Plus the rotating seat works better! Thinker, this one. Real thinker. Here's a pupper. 🐕
  2. Scale's a bit off, no? Oh, and here's Sariel's take.
  3. Then that makes no sense whatsoever. Why not use a 3L axle?
  4. Press release is up on Brickset! Luke Cragin is the designer.
  5. It'd be great to see this gear in actual Technic sets.
  6. You're forgetting 42053! Anyway, 2016 was indeed excellent but, for me, 2018 was the last truly great year for Technic. 2019 strayed close to the edge of the cliff, and 2020 is when the theme went over it.
  7. That's because sets these days aren't designed to have B-models.
  8. This part has made a triumphant return in 42157. HAPPY DANCE! HAPPY HAPPY PUPPY DANCE! 🎶🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🎶 Also, funnily enough the only set that featured it prior to now was also a Deere. Sort of.
  9. While we're hovering around the subject of aesthetics, I've just noticed that, in the set images, the axle on the roof steering gear isn't pushed all the way in.
  10. Nah, I can see a good number of collectors and enthusiasts who'd want this 🐕 on their shelves.
  11. I noticed that as well. Read the instructions, people!
  12. Features in the app apparently include "Engineering", "Environment", and "Exploration", so I think it'll be a little more in-depth than that.
  13. I also like that TLG chose a girl who looks somewhat like Jessica Chastain to really push the Martian thing. Should've just gone all the way and used Matt Damon, TLG...
  14. It's been 20 years since the last Mars rover. I highly doubt that this is coincidental. Also, the app screen features a rock sample collection mission. Looks fun!
  15. It isn't. In any case, I've already explained why.
  16. Also, a tiny part of the art to the right of the real box is cut off on the box seen here. EDIT: Also also, I've come across a listing for this fake "Technice" version. The set number is 6001. I haven't tried the link so I won't post it here.
  17. Nah, even the box looks fake - crappy cardboard and no trademark symbol on the LEGO logo.
  18. Doesn't seem that anyone is gonna buy it.
