  1. Lovely shots fenris Love the foliage in the background!
  2. Nice review Kim, Arealights custom work is so great. I couldn't be happier with my Oola minifig- The quality really is top notch, id previously bought some of his unpainted resin custom heads and they were good, but the new painted ABS ones really are darn close to official Lego parts. Now i just wish he'd make some new printed ABS versions of his Ithorian (Hammerhead) head...
  3. Great shots guys- nice to see the thread getting more contributions, keep em coming
  4. Thanks for the kind comments on my 'endor' shots guys & fenris those are some beautiful stormie shots- some wonderful lighting and DoF on the last one Heh Heh, nah not at all, i've gotton some serious millage outta that little tree- really pleased with how the final shot showing off the whole tree came out... though obviously couldn't resist sneaking indy into the frame
  5. That does sound pretty interesting- some food for thought there with some zombie stormies.... Couple of quick new ones- had some amazing weather over the weekend so couldn't resist a couple of balcony shots with my bonsai! ^^^ Staring down the barrel of a spear And heres a shot of the bonsai in all its glory... though there did seem to be a bit of a visitor from a previous shot
  6. Thanks for the well wishes guys... not long now- the waiting is unbearable Awesome shot! Been trying to do a version of this for a while, could never work out a good way to pose the figs- your solution's perfect Did you get your captain antilles fig in the end? Or is it a rebel trooper with tan arms Either way great shot!
  7. Awesome new shots fenris Not at all- its great to keep the thread going. Im lacking in inspiration for lego shots at the mo (well SW lego anyways... zombies i can't get enough of been trying to resist the temptation to mix the two) Also big thanks to all the other contributors to this thread- some great shots uploaded, and thanks for keeping the thread going On a bit of a side note (and really off-topic.. well kind of!) prob wont have much to add here for a short while as me and my wife are expecting the immenant birth of our baby daughter Due on June 2nd! Only mention it so you guys dont think i've dissapeared and abandoned the thread! Keep on posting up your shots, be looking forward to checking them out, and hopefully contributing again soon
  8. Couple of quick new ones- been struggling to find time for shots at the mo, but thought id do a couple of shots with the great moss that grows at the base of my bonsai tree (bonsai not featured this time )
  9. Thanks very much One more Zombie shot... heh heh couldn't think what to do with the wrestler... so stuck him with a zombie ^^^ Wrestler Vs Zombie
  10. Great work again with the drilled stormie fenris- awesome stuff! Not done a new shot for a while (been a bit pre-occupied with lego zombies ) So thought id do a quick one. Was cleaning out my bonsai tree tray when suddenly thought of a good use for the murky green water... ^^^ "Slimy?, My home this is!"
  11. Quick new spaceman shot- ^^^ Look at the size of my 'laser' Edit and.... Zombies Vs Robots!!!
  12. Used the barcodes/feeling the bags to get my first few zombies and robots and clown. Picked up an extra couple of zombies just by feeling for the shovel that comes with it through the bag
  13. Good luck tracking them down A couple more shots... did take a wrestler shot but didn't turn out right... so more Zombies im afraid ^^^ You gotta shoot em in the head!
  14. Cool stormie shot fenris- great work with the lighting of the sabre (& nice idea with the hole!) Oh and Avanaut's Lego shots that fenris linked to come highly recommended by me too , some truly amazing stuff on his photostream!
  15. Thanks for all the comments guys Got the first ones at my local Toys R Us in the UK. A nearby WHSmiths also has some in stock, keep popping in on my lunchbreak for more though! Grabbed yet another Zombie today and a Wrestler for some non-zombie shots. Speaking of which... Yeah the robot arm is symmetrical- you could put it on either side and would look fine, or get 2 and double em up
  16. Yeah spent ages trying to get the claw in properly- maybe they put a spare in so you could cut the end off one to make it fit! One last Zombie shot-
  17. Thanks guys Its just a white hand with the hand cut off Went out today and couldn't resist picking up another Zombie!
  18. Picked up some of the 8683 Series 1 and thought you might like to see some more shots of the minifigs. Only got the Zombies/ Robots/ A Clown and a Spaceman, though i've not thought of a shot yet for the Spaceman. The Zombies are so awesome- definatly has become my favourite minifig Got loads of ideas for more shots of these guys ^^^ Zombie Clown!! ^^^ 'We Are The Robots' ^^^ The face print on this is so cool. Feel free to post any shots you have of these up in this thread
  19. Wow!! Everything about this is amazing, beautiful work. Love the display as well
  20. ^^^ Awesome as always- such great composition and DoF
  21. Heh heh- love the old men in the park, the 'mice' are a great touch!
  22. ^^^^ very funny! Just noticed that it says copyright Fendrik Peter in the corner.... one quick google search later- Here's a link to the original Brick Patrol
  23. Wow, thats some amazing work! Can only begin to imagine the time it must take to make these renders. Loving the ones posted so far, cant wait to see more Thought id share this image with you- i'll preface it by saying its NOT mine- The image has been kicking around for ages, i remember coming across it over 5 years ago now. Had it saved on my hard drive, but lost it and could never find it again... But then came across it on flickr recently (though its not posted by the original creater). Been trying to recreate it with my photography for years Thought it would be apt to post it here, anyone know who the original artist is? Or any other info about it?
  24. Nothing done to the eyes at all, apart from a small bit of contrast adjustment the shot is 'as taken', was lucky that the sun was directly overhead- with the bright paint of the jawa's eyes you get a great reflection Oh and its a small micro machines Sandcrawler in the background- much easier to transport! Yeah Threepio shot was a bit of an afterthought- bought him along with me, and took a couple at the end. Funny you should mention the 'bones', been long meaning to get a shot of threepio with the Kryat Dragon bones in the background. Had a go at making some with fimo last year, but didn't turn out very well- and not yet found a good Lego substitute... however its only a matter of time... gonna have to get my thinking cap on
