  1. Great review This is the one set I really wished I'd got when it was out- one of my favorite Star Wars vehicles, and I think the set is a great recreation. Sure there a couple of bits that need a bit of modding, but thats the great thing about Lego. Gonna have to grab a set off Bricklink at some point before the prices get too crazy.
  2. Awesome Tantive shot fenris- really beautiful recreation. Love the Vader findling with his controls shot as well Couple of quick balcony shots from today, wanted to go further afield for some 'Endor' shots- but ended up spending most of the day building flat-pack furniture (arrrggghhh why do the instructions never make sense!), so grabbed a couple of shots as the sun was heading down. And love em or hate em (im guessing mostly hate!) one features an ewok
  3. Very cool, these are some great looking figs. Still not sure if the new Slave 1's better than the last- but will def be picking it up for the minifigs. Nice review- can't wait to see more of the set.
  4. New Sandtrooper shot- finally got a day off with some nice weather... Though with it being easter hols here the beach was pretty busy- not quite the shot i was after but was nice to get out for some shots, and its always fun photographing Dewbacks. Was also pretty darn windy at points
  5. Cool shots guys Love the Vader shot fenris- such a perfect title too! The Reservior Dogs poster parody is awesome rufus- 'nice guy palpy' made me chuckle
  6. Cheers for the comments on my Threepio shot. Bit lacking in inspiration at the mo, but been enjoying just taking a basic portrait shot of some of my fav minifigs- glad you guys are digging em Thinks its just a speck of dust on the camera lens, sometimes pops up in my shots depending how close the light source gets to the lens, and wether i've remembered to clean it! Could've edited it out, but generally don't like to mess round with my shots too much.
  7. Pretty much how I get the 'ghost' effect on my shots
  8. ^^^ Great shot- and title. Awesome effect with the DoF and the ash
  9. Cool Rebel Scouts shot fenris- hehe I see Indy is moonlighting for the rebelion
  10. Cool shadows in your Vader/Indy shots legonater Nice Vader shot fenris- I know what you mean about lacking inspiration im the same at the moment, really looking forward to some decent weather so I can get out for some photos. The indoor shots are always harder. Anyways picked up a Tie-Defender (mostly for the new Tie Pilot helmet I must admit ) Thought Id post a quick shot, nothing too fancy- did want to take this with a plain light, but the detail was much better to pick out with a bit of colour.
  11. Cool jawa shot rufus Yeah i've noticed that the jawa's eyes are pretty reflective, can get some great effects with them. Haha welcome to my world! - dust is the bane of my life, so many of my shots have been ruined by dust and fluff etc on the minifigs. Never noticeable until you look at them on the comp, the odd one or two can be edited out, but any more and i'll have to reshoot the shot. I've now taken to taking a couple of test shots, then looking at them on the PC to see where any dust my be so i can clean it off Some good set-ups there legonator, the STAP one came out great. The others would benefit with being in focus- have a look at the settings on your camera and see if you've got a macro setting, this'll let you get the small minifigs in focus much better. Thanks for posting them up, looking forward to seeing what else you come up with.
  12. ^^^ Cheers Guys Mostly by having a good macro on my camera, also I take them on a 3 to 4 second exposure which helps get em nice and crisp.
  13. Got a Captain Antilles from Bricklink, so thought id do a couple of shots of him - ^^^ Captain Antilles was having *that* dream again...
  14. Awesome shot Rufus I think the lighting's really nice- love how you've got the blue light on Ben and the red on Yoda. One of my favourite moments from the film, great recreation! Can't wait to see some more
  15. Great looking shots as always fenris Love the stormie 'expression'
  16. Very cool shots sok117 Love the postion of the Han/Leia "you could use a good kiss" If I were to offer any advice it would be to play around with your lighting to get a bit more light onto a couple of the shots. Depending on your camera, you can also see if you could change the f stops/ exposure time to let more light into the camera, though if doing this its best to use a tripod/ or have the camera on a flat surface. Thanks for posting them up- looking forward to seeing more, its great to see people contributing to this thread and seeing the cool photos they are creating
  17. ^^^ Its cool, no worries Cheers for taking it down. Oh and cool shots Filmgirl27 Nice to see some new faces posting shots up- lets see some more!
  18. Yeah Arealight is cool, you should have no probs with ordering from him- sends his stuff out recorded delivery as well. Thanks JCC1004, no probs with you using my shot as wallpaper- though not so cool with it being reposted on brickshelf, can you take that down please. Hope you understand, real happy and flatered that people would use my photos as wallpaper's etc, but once the photos get reposted elsewhere by different people they end up in all maner of places!
  19. Thanks guys Another Oola shot as she's so lovely
  20. Haha thanks commanderfox- yeah its got 101 uses Got my Arealight Oola through today so thought id take a shot of her- Very impressed with the quality of this, highly recommended if anyone's looking at getting any Twi'Leks
  21. Got my Oola through from arealight today- very impressed. Such great quality on this- I previously got one of his old unprinted Twi'Lek heads, and that was pretty good, but this one's amazing Quick shot to show her off-
