  1. Nice shots everyone! Had to get a Mr Freeze to go in my Arkham- Mr Freeze by smokebelch, on Flickr
  2. Cheers for the comments guys, given the parts listing pretty easy to figure out how it was gonna fit together. Be interesting to see if any other parts not listed- as I said the wheel hubs are not on the inventory yet, but not sure what else you could really add... Well apart from the obligatory flick fires I suppose! :D I quite like the bike, would work well as a more compact bike for Batman if you change the colours as well. Though it's nice Robin gets a cool little vehicle for this wave of Batman. Be interesting to see where this set will turn up first, The Sun in the UK have advertised the next Lego Freebie Promo coming up 'soon'- could be mid Feb as thats Half Term here...
  3. I saw brickset had posted up a parts inventory for the forthcoming Robin and Redbird Cycle polybag set- http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=30166-1 So thought id have a look to see what the set could possibly look like based on the inventory- obviously the listed inventory may not be 100% complete (it is missing the wheel hubs at least), and no idea if the actual set will look like this, but thought it was a fun idea to see what it may look like as I had the parts- Robin's Redbird Cycle by smokebelch, on Flickr
  4. Knew as soon as I saw the Collectible Minifigs Cop would have to make this... The Joker by smokebelch, on Flickr
  5. To the previous few posts- if you check out the photos in the other forum you will see its not just the missing bar in the arch that is causing the issue. The correct arch piece has a completly differant curve to it, a small bit of wiggling is not what the original poster is talking about the wrong arch has been included in some of the sets and that means the window part really does not fit correctly. Hmmmm- some nasty posts there, pretty uncalled for really. Bit more info in this bricklink thread with better pics of the problem http://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp?ID=145005&nID=690061
  6. Ahhh after building Bagend and Arkham was wondering which set came first with regards to the window! Truly stunning set Marcos- congrats its such a wonderfully designed set, and the little details really make it. Really enjoyable build as well. Dunno if anyone put together a list of questions but would love to hear a bit more about the design process if you were able (though I would guess a lot of the obvious things may come down to simple budget constraints) Like the reasons behind the cell sticker choices?, was Mr Freeze ever part of the minifigs alloted to the set? Were new guard designs ever considered? Was a modular enclosed style build ever part of the design process for Arkham?...
  7. Right, just had a look at both my Arkham (& Bag End)- and I dont think having either of the different arch pieces will make a differance to the 'wiggle'. Mine have the little bar stopper bit in the top of the arch, but the loose window part doesn't actually touch that when constructed- its actualy held in place by the new circle donut type piece, which doesn't fit snug between the arches and does wiggle a bit. Looking at mine it really would not appear to matter which of the arch types you have, I may be wrong but I think your aways gonna have the 'issue'. Doesn't really bother me, one of many inventive little aspects to the build. Edit to the above- just seen the pics you linked too in the other thread, see what you mean the other arch isnt just missing the stopper its a whole different shape! Yeah that is really bad- think without seeing it others will confuse the small 'wiggle' you get with the correct part with the large hole you get with the wrong part. Im sure once Lego have seen the incorrect piece in a build they will sort out the issue. Good luck hope they sort it soon.
  8. Another Arkham inmate... The Scarecrow by smokebelch, on Flickr The Scarecrow by smokebelch, on Flickr
  9. So I bought an Asylum ;) The Joker by smokebelch, on Flickr
  10. The new Argos catalogue will be out mid to late Jan, they will have most of the new sets in them/ for sale on the Saturday the catalogue launches.
  11. Yeah mine too. Been checking it all day as Im off work... Was just about to head out as assumed there was no chance of it turning up when the door went... And a rather large box with the Arkham set arrived!
  12. Great Review, and a stunning set. Mine has just arrived, only built the Van so far but its a wonderful little vehicle. Also of note is that the new Batman cowl now fits correctly. The ones that came with the jetski polybags came down too far showing the bottom line of the white on batmans faceprint. The one in this set sits perfectly on Batman's head, also tried it on one of my jetski Batmans and it fits fine on there too, so its definatly the cowl thats been fixed, and not the faceprint.
  13. Happy New Year to everyone :D Great group shot General Magma! 17. Yeah, someone left a comment on the photo over a year ago saying they had seen it there! When I looked assumed that maybe the picture had been uploaded at some point and taken down as I could never find it in the creations section. Kinda forgot about it, but reading the thread here thought id have a look... And its still there!! Would be very flattering to be featured on the front page of the official Star Wars Lego page... If id been given a credit... Or even asked my permission to use my photo Just dropped them an email to ask about it... Will let you know when I get a reply.
  18. Sorry to see you guys having LDD stuff stolen like this. I've always found it slightly weird that if you go to the front page of the Star Wars Lego site the picture being used to highlight the 'creations' section is one of mine!! I never uploaded it, and I've never been able to find it in the creations section either- im assuming someone uploaded it pretending it was theirs only for someone to notice and remove it... Yet it still shows up on the front page!? Very strange...
  19. Thanks As for set-up shots not really much to see, its really just a piece of white A4 paper. As always lit with my trust old iPod touch As Bricktooth says its just a custom put together with a couple of other minifig parts- I saw the LOTR torso and seemed like a pretty good match for Weequay.
  20. Nice shots DCLegoboy75 The Falcon one is awesome! Couple of quick ones from me- been having a play round with a Weequay fig to go with my Skiff Weequay by smokebelch, on Flickr Skiff Guards by smokebelch, on Flickr
  21. Thanks for the blog feature! Haha Brady Bunch was purely unintentional- don't think it was something we ever got on TV here in the UK I've got a nice photo montage app called Diptic (Its free on the App store if anyones interested in it), that im rockin at the moment Thanks guys! One more shot of the palace- and Oola in 'action' Jabba's Palace by smokebelch, on Flickr
  22. Yeah the Gamorrean really seems to be dividing people- completely understand why some don't like him. I personally think he's pretty cool, but I do find Boushh's helmet to be a little overly detailed- that one to me really does look like the action figure helmet stuck on the figure. Though that said it is growing on me now I've got it in hand. Nice to be back also Not had much time or inspiration for any lego shots recently... Im sure the new sets will change that though Thanks! Yeah I really couldn't afford the Jabba set... But just couldn't help myself, had to get it. It is a wonderful set- really is a bit overpriced, but you do get a lot of new minifigs in it. Have to say though Chewie really needs a bit of an update- even some eye/mouth printing on the excisting mould would go a long way.
  23. Hey guys, Not posted anything in ages- but have just got Jabba's Palace so here are some quick shots from me Jabba's Palace by smokebelch, on Flickr Jabba's Palace by smokebelch, on Flickr Bib Fortuna by smokebelch, on Flickr Gamorrean Guard by smokebelch, on Flickr Gamorrean Guard by smokebelch, on Flickr
  24. All the best with your new job Kim, you'll be really missed round here. And thanks for all the support you've given the photography thread over the last 3 years- its a testiment to your support with feedback, and the competition that its still going strong PS Don't know what you'll be doing in your job with the Lego Group but if you happen to overhear anyone saying they need some 'location' photographs of the new Jabba's Palace set, be sure to point em in my direction!
