  1. Great scale with that one fenris- the tiny leaf is awesome A couple more 'snow' shots before i pack away the icing sugar... Got a few more Snow Troopers to fill out my AT-AT, so thought i'd do a quick shot of em!
  2. Cheers for the comments on the shots And thats an awesome shot fenris- great effect with the blood- love the framing on it as well
  3. Great shots fenris & purplebrick- remember seeing your shots of 7676 on flickr- love the second one Well id been thinking of re-doing my Ben/ Luke Hoth shot as i wasn't really happy with the original (& i'd forgotton to swap Luke's head over as I had done in my previous post-Wampa attack shots) and here's the result- ^^^^ "Luke...You will go to the Dagobah system" REDUX Much happier with this one... thought was a nightmare setting it up!- Just as i had set it all up and lined up the minifigs the LED light stuck to the bottom of the shelf above Han decided to come unstuck and fell down knocking over all 3 figs and made even more of a mess than i had already managed with the bag of icing sugar Oh well- managed to get it set up again- though think thats prob it for the 'snow' shots for a while! Heres one more without Ben as i kinda liked how this one turned out as well-
  4. Cool shot fenris, love the multiple Vaders Yeah, wasn't very happy with this shot for that very reason (& wanted a bit more behind Ben to show off his transparancy). I Always use a plain piece of white paper for my indoor shots- due to the way i light most of em gives the paper a dark/black look. Need a bigger backdrop to do this shot the way i intended it (and a bigger bag of sugar ), gonna prob have another go at this one when i get a chance... need to play round with how to light it... In the meantime, here's another 'hoth' shot Something 'wampa' this way comes... "This one a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away... to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing!"
  5. Cheers Took the shot on a 3 second exposure, and whipped Ben outta the way half way through. Would of been a LOT easier to edit him in after, but i like to try and do stuff in camera. Didn't really turn out as well as id have liked, but it took so long to set up and i made such a mess with the icing sugar! Thought id up it anyways
  6. Cheers for the comments on my Snow/Rebel Troopers shots... got the Icing sugar out for another ^^^ "You will go to the Dagobah system".... "Ben?!"
  7. ^^^^ Glad your Camera's Ok Well seeing as im seemingly in the only place in the UK NOT getting any snow at the moment... I've made some of my own again for a couple of shots
  8. Welcome gotoAndLego, those are some fantastic shots Really makes me jealous for the lack of snow here- i'd love to be out getting some shots done. The final one with Han on the Tauntaun is my fav, great capture of the snow falling- not easy to do without getting the wet camera as well!
  9. Yep Love the Hoth shots Forresto & Commander Rob The Tauntaun Vs Scout Walker (Love the shadows!) and the Grievous shots are my 2 Fav's. Alas not much snow here- hopeing more will come would love to get some outdoor Hoth shots. Here's a couple of the New AT-AT drivers in the mean time...
  10. Been ages since i did some SW Lego shots.... Got the stormies out to see if inspiration would hit me...
  11. Picked up the RC set from Argos- really great little set- couldn't resist this shot ^^^^ "No Buzz, I am your father!"
  12. Been ages since i did a Star Wars shot- just got a Toy Story set so couldn't resist this one.... ^^^ "No, Buzz. I *am* your father!"
  13. Beautiful shot fenris- love the composition and the colours
  14. Cool shot Rob Nice to see this thread revived- been meaning to to do a new shot, its been ages since i last did a lego one. Really struggling to find the time (and the inspiration!), doesnt help that the weathers been awful here- here's hoping for some snow this winter- dying to get some outdoor Tauntaun shots
  15. Very cool Vader shot fenris- nice editing Funny you should say that! I've had a shot in mind for Ben for a good while now. Had a go at one over the summer but really wasn't happy with how they turned out, if we ever see any sun over the winter i'll be back down the beach for another go
  16. Nice new shots fenris & YG-49 I can't seem to find much time for shots at the mo, so its cool to see more contributions on here Here's an extra Stomie/UV shot, liked my first upload the best, but always end up with a second run shot each session i do. Its like an itch you can't help but scratch- it sits in a folder on the comp whispering post me POST ME! So here it is- ... i've just realised the photos are talking to me... thats normal right?!?
  17. New stormie shot Was messing round with a UV light for some shots- liked how this one came out- kinda reminded me of the end of Close Encounters when the aliens emerge from the ship.
  18. Very nice fenris The Stormie looks great with the ash on him- and love the emperor shot with the smoke and light on him- top stuff
  19. Nice shots helicon Lasers and dry ice- great stuff! Like the rebel commandos shots fenris, and the Tie pilot one is excellent! Oh and nice new avatar big cam
  20. Great shots fenris- really love the very last one camoflaged trooper, great DoF
  21. Inspiried by everyone's photo editing thought id do a bit on some of mine Not quite in the same way- was having a dig through my old shots, and thought id do something with the ones i'd never upped before. These were just diff angles etc to ones i've posted in the past. Thought they made a nice trilogy of locations/ troopers from the original films- so had a play round with GIMP and came up with these- And all 3 together
  22. Great shots Commander Rob & Fenris Love the AT-AT one, very cool. And nice editing on your stormie shot fenris- looks great. I agree- i love vehicle shots. I have had a go a a fair few of these Think the only ones i ever upped were my AT-ST/Skiff ones. Most of my indoor ones haven't turned out too great- mostly due to lack of space and the small lighting source i use. This AT-AT one was the only one i was happy with- I keep trying to get some good shots of my Slave-1, im never happy with the results though. I find the trouble with outdoor shots of bigger vehicles is they are pretty hard to transport, for obvious reasons. Lost a couple of bits of my AT-ST when i took it out. Really would love to do a shot of the Sailbarge at the beach- but be too hard to get it there! Here's one extra vehicle shot- not Star Wars (Blade Runner) but its close i guess (well Harrison Ford was in it ) The Spinner was designed by Kaitimar ,and he did such a great job i just Bricklinked the parts to make his.
  23. Very clever!- i was wondering how you lit them. Here's a throne room shot with the new Luke from the Visual Directory Book- ^^^ Luke showing off his new shiny medal... Han's smirking cause he's already got a good price for his
  24. Very nice book- love the interview with the designers at the back. I wonder wether the Hoth Rebel helmet prototype got past the prototyping stage?. I guess it may show up in the new Battlepacks next year- its a shame it didn't make it into the Tauntaun set. As others have said the Luke minifig is a great bonus, I think it was a great choice for the book, and as they say inside it will be very unlikley to appear elsewhere- here's a shot of mine (with a few friends )
  25. Great shots fenris Thats so funny- I was thinking of doing pretty much the exact same shot with my IG88! Haha great minds think alike I know what you mean about being able to pick a favorite out of many diff shots of the same thing- i find it really hard sometimes to choose which shot to put up. Out of the 4 stormie ones i think my fav is the very last one- the light from below gives it great atmosphere, really nice shot this one- very creative
