  1. I know, i did feel a great sense of shame. I did feel like i was cheating slightly- but you should have seen my first attempts, you'd have had no chance of identifing it as an At-At!... Though some would say that about the one i used Any one got any good ideas for one- you gotta make it so it can be held by a minifig... Whos up to the challange!
  2. I... ahem... glued em on... Was really hard trying to make one that small, needed to be held by a minifig, and i've got so many spare binoculars, i just gave up in the end got the super glue out.
  3. Its suppossed to be a tiny At-At, was kinda hard making one that fit in a minifig's hand, and still looked a bit like an At-At. I showed it to my wife and she knew what it was, so was kinda hopeing that people would get what it was meant to be- oh well!
  4. "OK, one last time. These are small... but the ones out there are far away" Rebel Trooper Dougal had the dawning realisation that they were in big trouble... Quote from the fantastic 'Father Ted' by Arthur Mathews and Graham Linehan.
  5. Cheers bobskink, be cool to see yours The torso is this one- http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973pb472c01 Found it while browsing bricklink- couldn't belive what a great match it was
  6. ... and out hunting some deadites more up on my flickr page
  7. Thanks paradosis Here's a couple more shots- And the Brickshelf folder http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=387074
  8. Here's my custom Lego Ash from Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 (Greatest film ever made- well apart from Empire Strikes Back maybe), and Army of Darkness. With his trusty Chainsaw, though minus his boomstick as i've yet to find a good custom sawn-off shotgun! Not a huge amount of customising, but i was pleased with how the chainsaw turned out More shots soon as i'll be taking him out to the woods to hunt down some deadits!
  9. Doh! Thanks for pointing out Ive now edited the original
  10. Cheers Future74 A very wise move Got my Ithorian head through from Arealight today, very impressed such a nice custom! Being a OT fan decided to make a Momaw Nadon (though he'll forever be Hammerhead to me!), Did get a blue torso and pants for a vintage hammerhead action figure look... but looked a bit rubbish as its a plain torso. So used the Mace torso instead.
  11. Cheers Was actually my wife's idea to use the anakin head, the face is a great match for luke- i guess its his dads so not too suprising! And yes good old ketchup for blood
  12. Cheers for the comments, Few more Hoth shots while i had a big pile of sugar just sitting there! Used my third Hoth rebel for a Hoth Luke, and used the old burnt up anakin head for a nice post Wampa attack effect
  13. Thanks very much for the comments One more quick Wampa shot- turns out he's mostly 'armless.... ...Many apologies for the terrible joke
  14. @natman8000- not at all, help yourself @future74- the guns are from Little Armory, got them years ago. Luckily i stocked up enough to equipt my new rebel troopers
  15. Here's a couple of shots from the brickshelf folder of the cannon- And the folder- though its not public yet... http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=386348
  16. Cheers, got the yeti ages ago and tried to make some Wampa horns then, but never really liked how they turned out. The Tauntaun ones while not perfect are a much better match. I'll up a brickshelf folder with the bits for the cannon- might not be till tomorrow though.
  17. Got my Echo Base set today, and been taking a few shots- most up in the photo thread- but i thought id post these seperatly. Made the Rebel Laser Cannon ages ago just never got round to taking a shot of it, quite small but wanted it to be pretty acurate to minifig scale- And used the Tauntaun horns to give the Yeti a much more Wampa look- hopefully we'll have a official lego Wampa next year, but until then im kinda happy with this
  18. Here's a couple more shots, the Rebel laser cannon i made ages ago just never got round to taking a shot. And the Tauntaun's horns give a nice 'Wampa'ish feel to the yeti
  19. Thats the EXACT same thing my wife said as i showed her the Tauntaun
  20. Hehe one whole bag- that would be some sugar rush! Cheers Kim, thanks for letting me post it all up. Really glad others enjoy looking at my pics, and very cool to think i've inspired a few of you to take some shots of your own
  21. Whoo hoo!, the postie just delivered my Hoth set :D 10 minutes and one empty bag of sugar later... More shots to come no doubt ;)
  22. Cool topic Thought id do a (very quick) picture to go with mine, as i keep changing my mind- and if there's a photo i can't edit my 10 Very hard to narrow it down to 10, and im an OT fan so no prequel stuff im afraid, but here we have in no particular order... Scout Trooper - Always my favourite imperial trooper, from way back seeing Return of The Jedi when it was released in '83- i remember being so desperate to get the action figure! Snow Trooper- Prob my second fav trooper- very cool outfit... quite literally Sand Trooper- Tough to pick between this and the regular trooper, but i think the Sand Trooper pips regular to the post with his pauldren (honerable mention to the printed legs stormie as well) Bib Fortuna- Such a cool head piece thats fits so well with the regular lego head Boba Fett- Say no more, everyones favourite bounty hunter. Great figure, though fingers crossed we'll see a separate helmet/backback combo on a future version (esp considering the new backbacks on the clone troopers) Lando (Skiff Guard)- Another great new mold for the Skiff helmet, love this one. (sorry Lando's face is hidden in the photo!) Emperor's Royal Guard- Such a cool outfit, and a yet another great lego helmet Greedo- My second favourite Bounty Hunter (who most definatly didn't shoot first!) Rebel Trooper- Long time coming for this one, but yet another very cool trooper... theres a bit of a patern here- i do love my troopers Jawa- Last but not least C-3PO's favourite scavenger! Many many more i could have chosen, im missing most of the main cast with my 10! Honerable mentions to the Gold C-3PO (but i dont own that so didn't include), the new Endor Rebel Trooper (which i dont yet own), and Chewie who would be my number 11
  23. Info on Brickset is that some UK orders placed when the sets went up on S@H have had the Endor and Hoth sets removed from their orders. Apparantly this is due to the sets not being availible in the UK yet?! Would appear that they put them up early by mistake. However the Hoth set i ordered as soon as they went up, HAS shipped and is showing up on DHL as having hit Uk this eve, so fingers crossed should have Friday. Very strange!
  24. Ordered a hoth set when it appeared last night from UK shop at home- got my shipping email today. Woohoo!
  25. Nice shots Ewok As Skipper says its often best to take stuff outdoors when its bright/ sunny- you'll find its a lot easier than trying to brighten them up with editing afterwards. Nice work though- keep em coming Been havng a bit of a look through some of my old shots from the last year or so that id never posted before. Most are just diff angles/ or lighting of shots i've posted before. Some like the royal guards i just didn't like at the time. I'll usually end up taking 100's of shots of the same thing then editing them down to a couple of my favs. Will usually post one up, and save the other. These are the ones that got away Thought it'd be intersting to post em up on my flickr (and here )
