Commander Assassin replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think it was anybody's guess this set is CW. As far as I am concerned, I don't remember cad Bane in RotS. -

Any clue of the stores that these will be available in in the US? Also, does anyone know the release date in the US? I'm sorry if these have been answered, but I don't have the time to review all 20+ pages. -

Than why don't you read my whole post before you start blasting me about my knowledge of prelim sets! -
Well, I guess I have a few things to say: -I'm allergic to poultry (I've never eaten at KFC) -my obsession of SW started with clones (I love clones!) -my favorite movies are Valkyrie and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow -I am proud to be a Christian -I am 13 -I built my first system LEGO set all by myself when I was only 4 years old (Chrome Crusher) -I am working on a big Apocatown MOC -I am disappointed with the CW, but I approve most of SW EU -My half birthday is Christmas Day And that's about it! Great topic.

The new summer 2010 sets look great! I am glad that we are finally getting the new medical droid in the theta shuttle. I am also very excited to see pics of the new general grievous. I'm also surprised how big his starfighter is. However, the prelim wampa looks like a teddy bear so far, and I will hope to see printed legs on Boba in the future. EDIT: I'm also loving the new box art. -
Great review! I have to say I am a bit disappointed with the Talz though. I thought that you would be able to take off the headdress. I thought that the headdress was this piece in dark bluish grey. Still looks like a great set though. I am always happy to see a new balaclava head.

LEGO Star Wars 2010 Pictures and Rumors
Commander Assassin replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yup. The AT-OT and Dropship. We never saw it coming until the Toy Fair. Anyways, I agree with most everyone here: The Defender is an epic fail for TLG. The Freeco looks okay, but I would have liked the talz without a little hole at the top of the head to fit on the head dress. However, the Tri- Fighter looks pretty good with the yellow printed commander, and it has a wonderful price/piece ratio. The ARC still looks great, but is it confirmed yet that the visors are printed? Also, does anyone know what the difference is between Jag and the Clone Pilot? -

I agree with that prediction. I also made a prediction of my own when we first heard the rumors about the summer 2010 sets, and that is that the CTT will include both Aayla and Bly. -

Nope. TLG only had that box art for its 10th anniversary with Star Wars. -
I love the BARC Pedro. About a year ago I built a BARC myself and this reminds me of it a lot. Clever technique on the handlebars though, I hadn't thought of that!

I love it! I think it was quite clever to add brown to the gray to make it look rusted. So when do I get my cupcake?

LEGO Star Wars 2010 Pictures and Rumors
Commander Assassin replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think that that is pretty likely since the old one was made over 10 years ago and we saw a new one in the "Quest for R2" video. I think that the question is whether there will be a removable Han inside of it or not. -
List of Play Features that Lego uses

One of my favorite features was the flipping cockpit for the MagnaGuard starfighter. -
Possible new LEGOLAND in Illinois!
Commander Assassin replied to Eilif's topic in General LEGO Discussion
5 stores in Illinois, and Lego doesn't bother to put 1 in Michigan, Illinois' next door neighbor. Still sounds interesting though. California was the closest one to me, and it would have been a 25-30 hr. drive. It would be a lot better to cut that trip down to 6-7 hrs! -

It might not end up looking a thing like it did in the game though. Do you remember Kit Fisto? EDIT: sorry, didn't see Legolas' post! -
Being a fan of strategy, my two favorite games are: - Risk - Settlers of Catan

Commander Assassin replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I was talking about the subscription, and I didn't know that the Malevolence wasn't going to be released. Also, I didn't know that it was going to be an Atlantis set. Sorry for getting your hopes up Legolas! -
LEGO Star Wars 2010 Pictures and Rumors
Commander Assassin replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I am sorry if this has been commented on before, (as I know we discussed the set a few pages back) but I was thinking that the "super secret brickmaster set" might be the mini scaled Malevolence. It makes sense since we have seen the instructions and I at least don't know of any release. Then again, it would make even more sense if someone has already posted this prediction a few pages back. -
In case you've noticed, I haven't presented any of my MOCs on this site; but I will tell you some of my tips that I use for some of my better MOCs. -No, I do not use LDD for designing. -I use parts from old sets that are in pieces -If I am MOCing a vehicle or building that has already been designed, (SW ships, tanks, etc.) I print pictures of different angles of the model -If I am building something of my own design, (made up SW vehicle, building for Apocatown, etc.) I usually start with no plan -After 'completing' a MOC, I usually touch it up every now and then -A large Creator set would be a cheap way to get bricks, as long as you don't want color-based MOCs I hope that I have been some help to you as I know that I am no great MOCer like Rook, Pedro, or Vimes.

Which Set Do You Regret Not Buying?
Commander Assassin replied to Smithy_Boy's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Imperial Inspection, and a two pack containing the original Slave I and the original Landspeeder for only $20. -
Clarification and discussion of price ranting
Commander Assassin replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yea, I read it. I guess I was referring to the American ratio per piece. (~$.10 per piece) Anyway, compared to the prices of other SW sets, I think that the Freeco, TIE Defender, and the ARC are all overpriced. And in response to ILikePi's post, I know that these prices are not final for TLG, but if you wish to get free shipping, you sometimes want to go Amazon. -
Clarification and discussion of price ranting
Commander Assassin replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yay! Stash2sixx directed me to this topic and I have been waiting for this! First of all, I want to clarify that: $50 for the Defender is a joke! The set only has 304 pieces! In my mind, this should be a $30 USD set. I also think that the ARC is $20 overpriced, (I think it should be $40, not $60), I will still buy it, pending on whether the visors are plastic or printed. Also, I am disappointed with the new $25 sets instead of the more affordable $20 sets... I am especially not too fond of paying that $25 for a set that only has 177 pieces. I will still buy the Freeco though, if only for the Talz. Well, I guess that this is all of the ranting I can think of right now; so I'll just have to wait until we find the prices for the summer sets! -
