I don't really mind at all. Fleshies and angry faces, or yellow and smiley faces, In my opinion, a lego figure is still a lego figure, due to his stubby form, cylinder head, and 2 fingered hands. ;-) Besides. I haven't seen any angry faces in city or train kits so far. :-/

Beautiful new skin. Loving your work, BJ and Jipay! ;-)

To celebrate the recently released pictures of the great new 2007 theme, Aquaraiders, Ive decided to put together a review of a kit from its inspiration, Divers. Sea Hunter (set #6555), is the second smallest kit in the Divers line, and yet theres just something special about it that makes me want to write a review. Here we go X-D Price and Avalibility: Sea Hunter, like all Divers kits, has been discontinued from stores for many years. However, obtaining a copy is still fairly easy, as many Bricklink users from North America and Europe are selling copies at prices starting for as little as 2.50 USD. E-bay is another option, but Id put your bet on Bricklink if you want to has less hassle. Pieces: For such a small set, Sea Hunter contains quite a lot of interesting pieces, most of them useful. Picture. The biggest piece in the kit is the large rubber raft. Its always good to have at least a couple of these for beach or ocean MOCs. Next, we have the standard Divers seaweed, and a nice square flag. A treasure chest and 3 1X1 round plates are included for treasure. I would have liked it if 6555 had some gold coins included also. A pair of diving flippers, an oxygen tank, and a tool of some sort, are the main accessories included. Last but not least, we have the two pieces that make up the swordfish included. Completely useless for anything but a swordfish, but all minifig animals are made that way, so no criticism from me. ;-) Minifigures: 6555 comes with 1 minifigure and 1 animal (a swordfish). Picture. Here we see the diver included who I will call Sam through this review. Hes really quite a nice figure. Picture. Heres the swordfish included. I really love the undersea life that the Diver kits were know for! They really fit in with the cuteness of most town and city figures. X-D The Finished Set: 6555 is made up of five things: the figures, the small motorized raft, a buoy, a small coral piece, and a treasure chest. Picture. Heres Diver Sam ready to jump out of his raft. I always loved the rafts in the diver series. Picture. Heres Sam swimming through some seaweed growing on top of some coral. One of the neat thing about Divers was that many of the kits, when completed, made it look like the animals and divers were really swimming. This kit is no exception. ;-) Picture. Heres the buoy included. Plain, but it still works. Picture. Last but not least, heres everything altogether. Overall: Sea Hunter is a simple, but very complete kit. It contains everything kids need to have their own adventures, yet comes at a very low cost. It even contains a fair amount of useful pieces and 2 figures, so an AFOL could also appreciate it. This kit receives a solid 5/5 from me. Highly recommended! :-)

To answer your question, Sne....Oops, I mean Athos X-D ... NO WAY! I don't usually buy starwars, due to my tight budget, but I still have almost alll of the first year starwars kits, and with the new minifig packs and AT-ST coming out next year, starwars will no doubt be part of my wants again! Besides, they still have so much more to make! (hoth, endor, and death star playsets, more episode 3 kits, EU kits, the list goes on and on! 8-

Time for a more detailed review from me of the Aquaraider set pictures... ;-) Deep Sea Treasure Search: This is one of the best small kits TLC's made in a while. The minisub is small, yet very effective, and the diver is pretty cool (like a slightly fiuturistic version of the old divers). The great acessories and neat little plant are also great additions. This kit really reminds me of 6555 from the old diver series. ;-) Tiger Shark Battle (not sure on the name): I am loving the shark. ;-) A meancing design for sure, and it isn't a repeat of the Designer shark at all. As for the sub, let me say that I don't see much Alpha team in it at all, other than the launcher, propellers, and tridents (which still aren't bad looking). Looks much better than the Alpha Team 2002 crud. X-D The hapoon and plants look cool, too. :-) Crab Set (really not sure on the name X-D ): Awesome! The best of the lot, especially since it has an awesome sub. Looks really like a slightly futurised version of the Deep Sea Expedition sub (which was really well designed). The crab is cool, also, although I'm not sure on the green color scheme. :-/ Great acessories, especially! Man, Aquaraiders is easily one of TLC's best moves yet. The theme is very origanal (aside from the yellow color), and has a cool near-future-diving look to it... Which is why I can't understand what you are saying. Are you suggesting that THIS is simalar to THIS, or THIS? *Thinks for a minute* I see no resemblance. *wacko* -
Here's a transalation that makes more sense than the lousy job the online transalator did ;-) : Mantax Mantax lurks in the darkness and attacks his opponents from the rear. He is equipped with a thick tank, poisonous, red pinchers and strong pliers. Carapar Carapar is two times as long as he is wide. With its long arms and enormous claws he masters the challenges of each obstacle. He is nearly invulnerable thanks to his thick tank

Here's some more detalied comments frome me on each different kit: Cyclone Defender: Loving the green and yellow, especially on Ryo. The new design for the 5 dollar kits is really intriguing, as is the interesing weapons (loving the pistol, the spinning shield is cool to!). Claw Crusher: Even better than CD, IMO. It just has that meancing look that I associate with the Robots. The awsome claw and cool gatling gun make it look very poweful. Is it just me, or are the small mechs getting bigger? Blade Titan: I'm not really a fan of the thin looking gatling gun, and it just looks a bit more plain. The red and white really work great, though, and the body design is cool. Sky Guardian: I can't decide whether this is my least favorite, or the Iron Condor is. I dislike that they put a zamor launcher on it, and the blue wings, although cool parts, look like they were just stuck on for no reason. Once again, though, the color is awesome. Shadow Crawler: The best of the lot. I was really hoping for a quadraped this time around, and I got my wish! Black and trans green are always awesome together, and the front weapons and cockpit are really cool. One thing, though: What's with that skeleton? Iron Condor: Ugh. Looks a bit thrown together, especially the cockpit (almost no protection!). And that launcher on the left hand just doesn't work for me. Still okay, though. Overall, very cool so far! I can't wait to see the mystery set planned for the summer! 8-

My my my, I think my budget is offically ruined. X-D But, man, this is awesome! The landing craft looks great, a lot better than I expected! The minifig packs are awesome (silver super droids, light red clones! *wub* ) and the Y wing looks like a solid remake! Best of all is the at-st, with an awesome imperial pilot and a super cool new design! Of course, for ever year, theres always at least one let down, and MY personal ship is it! >:-( I mean, it's a piece of crud that doesn't look like my ship at all! Darn you, TLC! You ruined it! :-| Overall though, Great Job, TLC! I anticipate 2007 even more now! ;-)

Man, talk about a negative post. I guess now I see why you're a "grouchy specialist"... X-D Then again, sets like this don't really do much for pirate fans (except for the treasure and skeletons), but then AGAIN, what sets really do these days? X-D -
Not really, no. X-D

Natalie! You really stretched my screen! Next time, put links, okay? :-P Hm, with the new pictures of Exo-force and Aquaraiders for 2007, Megabloks will be less important to me in 2007. I still will probably pick up the Dragons Battlestorm castle, though, and have another set in mind for Christmas. Lego really is laying down the gauntlet, though! ~~END~~ -

Well, looks like my prediction came true! Aquaraiders is (thank goodness) not <insert that tiresome argument> at all, with cool subs, great diver figures and accesories, and best of all, Brick Built Animals! I'm so relieved... :'-) Thumbs up to TLC for bringing new life to 2007 and Divers! I'm so getting some of these sets (man, I'm really broke next year... X-D ) BTW, I do not like that fire boat at all. Too many colors and a bad design, plus it's too darn huge! Let's hope that the rest of City 2007 is better.... |-/ -
Awesome! The new mechs are very origanal, have cool colors and designs, and we even get a new quadraped! 8-

All this new starwars kits sound awesome. I'll probably pick up one of the battle packs, since they're not very expensive (plus, I could use some more droids and clones! ;-) )

That's why I said "so far." I know that there is a chance that this promotion will be okay, but not that great a chance, IMO. I mean, even BZP described them as looking like the Burger King toys! X-D
-
Found this on BZP. It's the new Bionicle promotion for McDonalds. Ugh. I'm not usually critical of bionicle, but these look very simalar to the BK promotion, which are just kiddie toy crud, purely useless for MOC'ers and not even worth collecting in most circumstances. Come on, TLC? Why not give us something like the 2001 MC'toran? WHY?! >:-(

So true, sne. I remember back when I was just lurking Eurobricks those word wars that were going on. You even once got "warned," Sne, not to "Become a FBTB'er," by one of eurobrick's members, if I can remember correctely. Ugh, I didn't enjoy reading those "jokes" at all. What were you saying about the overall tone calming down, hobbes? :-| Mutant piraka, the jokes really getting old. It never really was that funny anyway, IMO. -
I'm getting this game somehow. I'll probably sell some of my RTS games to buy it, but I sure hope I can ge it soon, as it looks so much better than the first LSW game. I'm quite surprised that Gamespot only gave it a 7.7, I'd figured that they would at least bump it up to an 8.0, as the first game got a 7.5. Then again, Gamespot is pretty tough in reviews... :-|

Awesome. Lego is really becoming strong in their bond with Travelers Tales, as this is their fourth partnership game in just 2 years! This also means that we will no doubt be seing more batman building kits in 2007... 8-

Hobbes, I was not saying that I was insulted when I wrote my last post. I was disgusted with the jokes about the members on The Blok Forum and their site, not the jokes about Megabloks itself. I think you must have misread me, but I probably wasn't being very clear anyway. Bah, I'm tired of arguring about Megabloks. I think I'll stop posting in this topic before I cause any more confusion. *sad* ~~END~~ -

I really have to say that I am disgusted with the way many people are acting in this topic. True, this is supposed to be just a joke, but it seems to be a rather cruel and mean one. The topic now seems to be split between two groups: The "it's a joke" people, and the "well, its not funny" people. I really am tired of seeing all the arguing, mean joke making, and megabloks bashing in this topic, so I'd say the only smart and reasnable thing to do would be to lock this topic. I certainly hope that one of the moderators does that.... *sad* -

Zarkan replied to Echo's topic in General LEGO Discussion
*Sigh*... Once again I'm on the completely opposite side as almost everybody else on this forum. *sad* But, seriously, I find your criticism of the Megabloks forum mainly without merit. Why? Because, while their forum can't really compare to forums like Eurobricks and BZPower, it really isn't their fault. Firstly, Megabloks is not as popular as Lego, and the majority of their fans are much younger then the average AFOL. Due to the lack of online fans, I highly doubt they can afford a paid-for site like the one we have here. They probably had to go with what they could take. :-/ Secondly, their forum isn't really that bad, even though you are making it sound like complete crud. Their only real forum weakness besides the lack of fans (which makes up for any of the other weaknesses), is the fact that you can post while still being a guest. That is dissapointing, but not, as you put it, "Pathetic." I've seen many other forums that allow guests to post, ranging over many subjects other than building toys. But, these two reasons don't really matter as much as the fact that, IMO, Megabloks itself is not complete crud! Yes, I can confirm that I am no longer just a lego fan any more. While the original brick is still my prime intrest, I have purchased a couple Megabloks Dragons kits, and have not been dissapointed with them. I plan to continue buying them at a slow pace, so, unfourtunately, I can no longer agree with the Lego Purists that so many lego fans have become. Oh, and I seriously hope I don't have to explain in detail why I was not dissapointed with my MB purchases. :-| Also remember that I am not the first on these forums to take down his status of Lego Purist...*cough*Mr Phes*cough*Pyrates*cough* -
I guess I'm taking a risky move here by saying 7892. It just feels more like a real airport, and looks more realistic. Plus, I wasn't into legos when the other three were out because I was so young! (try 3 years old) By the way, it bother me that several people think 7892 is out of scale. Real jets and airports are that big in real life, so I wouldn't say they are out of scale at all. *wacko*

2/10. Guess I'm not a true lego fan! :-P

<insert some nice sounding but irrelevant spaceship neme here>

Very intetesting. The SNOT looks very smooth, and the ship itself just looks, well, Spacey! Nothing more I can say, except that your experiment is a sucess! ;-)
