  1. Well, you've been fairly reliable, legomilk, so I think I trust you for now. X-D But, this is really awesome! Now we have a bit of proof that if true, means Lego Batman is defenatly not dead! Hm, some of the ideas I would like to see for those four sets would be: The Batcycle: Battle with Clayface $10.00 -Includes Batman, Clayface, civilian, Batcycle, and a street pole and tree. The BatCopter: Ridler's Escape! $25.00 -Includes Batman, Robin, Ridler, Batcopter, and a small green and white plane for Ridler. Batman and Batgirl: Banes Heist $40.00 -Includes Batman, Batgirl, Bane in his two forms, bank guard, and bank building with two small levels, one with a teller, and one with a safe, plus some break away walls and windows and a couple trees. Gotham PD: Posion Ivy's Hostages! $80.00 Includes Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Posion Ivy, Two policemen, Commsioner Gordon, a better version of the Batdragster, and a large Gotham PD with with cells, office, and other details, plus vines to entangle Gordon and his officers. That would really make my day. ;-)
  2. Okay, whatever. ;-) Now, time to get back on topic. Aka, talking about the totally awesome pictures of the Barraki! Which means it's time for a more detailed analyst from me: Takadox: I can't really say much about him, due to the weird angle and possition the box shows him in. The head looks okay, since it fits in well with the watery theme of 2007, and I like the weapons he has. I sure hope those silver jaw pieces are useful, however, as they appear to be in every Barraki! Kalmah: The 3 eyes make his face quite weird, but it looks kind of cool for some reason. Not sure what his weapon is, though. Maybe a gold whip? Looks more like a stick of crumpled foil so far. X-D He looks pretty bulky, and seems to have a lot of good dark red pieces, so he's one of the best ones, IMO. Carapar: His...er...face, is the weirdest out of the all the Barraki. It looks like a cross between an Olmak, Avak's face, and the Liberty bell. X-D I see lots of gold in him, though, as well as lots of another unidentifiable, and his weapons look awesome. >:-) Mantax: Why does he remind me so much of a robot? probably the grooves where his mouth should be, and his hunched back appearance. Nevertheless, he is awesome looking, and the shoulder armor as well as the weapons look useful. Probably my second favorite. BTW, seems as almost all the weapons are based on pinchers or knifes, which seems a bit bland. :-( Ehlek: I won't be fooled by that light green appearance again. He's the same color as Defilak, and Defilak turned out to be Dark green in a later picture. Nothing wrong with dark green, though, although just green would have been better, IMO. 'Tis boring that he has the same feet as Zaktan, and I hate how he is so thin and spindily (is that even a word?). Worst of all is the POOP spine, which, while doesn't normally bother me, basicly makes up all his bulk. He is my least favorite so far. The others (not including Takadox) all have lots going for them, but the only thing that saves Ehlek, IMO, is the totally WICKED 3 bladed claw weapon. Boy, I may have to get him just for that! (and the green pieces, since I don't plan to get Toa Kongu). X-D Overall, Bionicle 2007 is looking fairly strong. I look foward to seeing the Titans and Summer canister sets in 2007. Great job, TLC, espeically since the Barraki DO blow away the 2001 Toa in terms of differences! A great change from the canister sets before the Inika (which actually had some more differences than just color, weapons, and mask). ;-)
  3. I know its his opinion, I just get uptight when I see people say bland statements like "It's trash" and "What a piece of crud" without even explaining it. The exo-force comic discucion on BZP was a good example of what I'm talking about, but as long as people at least say why they hate it at least one time, then I understand. Like GregF said back at BZP, generic comments like that are pointless if you don't even explain. (most members on Eurobricks do explain, however, so I'm rarely uptight.).
  4. I voted for Kings Royal Castle. It's a kit that really seems to be bringing the old castle back to life, since it has tons of great details, minifigs, and weapons, and overall looks just like what it should look like: a castle. Not to mentions great pieces like black stone castle walls and blue corner pieces abound. ;-) I really like Vladek's Dark Fortress as well, but since I don't have either of the kits, my opinion was based on what I've seen in rewiews and picturs, plus looking at the boxes and instructions. ;-)
  5. Hewkii was not just "trash," hewkii9. I mean, just because he was not brown doesn't mean he couldn't even be called a toa of stone, and just "trash." He was a great source of yellow and gunmetal gray parts, and like all the Inika, he had awesome posability. He also had one of the better Inika masks as well as a 15 segment technic chain, which all adds up to hardly being just "trash," IMO. Really though, why did you bring up a Summer 2006 kit in a topic about 2007 kits anyway? Isn't there other, more apropiate topics for that? (note, I am not a moderator, I know that, and I'm not trying to insult you. I just don't understand why people keep bringing up how AWFUL the 2006 toa are in topics having almost nothing to do with them.)
  6. We shall see, Vader. But, prepare to be amazed at my piloting skills that rival even a Dark Jedi's. I will not be taken down by you so easily as you think. >:-) I hear you, Exo-Champ! I'll be meeting you at the rendezvous where we can plan our attack. Over and out....
  7. Very nice. I love that you used system parts in the MOC's, and the color scheme is great! I'll give you extra points just for using galidor parts in the larger one and still having it turn out good. ;-)
  8. FINALLY! After over a month and a half since the prototype Ehlek was released, the Barraki are FINALLY here! :'-) And, man are they cool! GregF certainly wasn't lying when he said they blow the 2001 Toa away in set difference, and they look like they have some awesome parts too! The canisters have got to be my favorite part, though. They fit in with the aquatic theme so well! But, since they are on Kaideshop, looks like BZP will not allow them to be posted. X-D
  9. Science Bites myth of vampires and ghosts. It's basicly about a proffessor who explains how the myths so popular at halloween can not be possible in science. I couldn't believe the part about the number of people beleving those stories, and the part about the vampires was really funny. If any of you can't access the link, here's the full story ;-) :
  10. 'Tis very unfortunate that the big racers are so cruddy this time around. I must definately pass, except when it comes to the tiny turbos. Man are they cool! The best racers parts packs yet, and they look cool as well! And the Night crusher is simply genius...one of the best medium sets of 2007! ;-)
  11. Tie pilot in a can? AWESOME... >:-) I must pick up some cans of it from the rebel factory for my cat, as she could not resist a treat like that! X-D And vader, I am far from defeat. Your Tie fighters were being very cowardly out there while I was fighting them, using empty tie fighters as cover while they tried to sneak up behind me. I was getting very bored of that fight, so I flew away to find some prey that actually has guts and courage. Your Tie pilots dissapoint me, Vader. ;-)
  12. Well, the main two themes I'm really into right now are Exo-force and Bionicle. As for why, well: Exo-force: Well, for starters, when I saw this theme, I realized that it was the perfect solution to my diliema. You see, I may be 13, but I still have quite a fascination with playing with my lego sets and creations, not just building them and displaying them. It's kind of odd that I still enjoy legos like a 7 year old would, but I really don't care at all. To me, having battles that involve lots of bricks flying off my creations and minifigures having hand to hand combat is no weirder than playing RTS computer games or Dungeons and Dragons. To me, as long as there is nothing morally wrong with it, a person should not be discouraged from their hobby (a boy that likes playing with his younger sisters dolls or a girl that would rather take hikes and climb trees than hang out in malls should not be considered "weird" or a "loser"). But, anyway Exo-force apealed to me like no other them before it because it was the first line lego had made in my lifetime that was perfect for the chaotic and brick flying battles that I loved to have. The lego mechs and vehicles could be engaged in deep, Exo-force comic like battles, blown apart, and re-assembled fairly quickly. I enjoyed (and still enjoy) making different scenerios depending on what kits I had, and what state they were in (built, destroyed, combined or made into something else). I also loved the building experience, as I do with any lego kit, since the construction was complex and intricite, and had a cool, modular feel to it. And, I loved that there were so many cool and useful pieces that worked great in MOC's (which I make a lot of). Exo-force, basicily, was my dream line. ;-) Bionicle: Bionicle is in many ways a simalar case as Exo-force, but in a different way. Even though I didn't start buying them until 2003, I quickly memorized the storyline and fell in love with the unique pieces and the oppertunities they presented for awesome looking MOC's. Since the storyline was so complex, the battles I had with them also became fairly complex, as each characters unique powers as well as the different storyline locations that I imagined played roles in shaping the battles and stories into something that you could fill a book with (I do a lot of playing. ;-) ). Soon, I was making my own characters with the cool parts and making a whole storyline arc that came before the offical one. It was so much fun, and I continue to make stories, playing them out and enjoying every bit of it. Bionicle was my savior in what was a fairly dark time for TLC (Bionicle was about all I collected!), and it will always have a special significance to me as an awesome, plot rich and mysterious lego line that is still today one of my favorite lines. ;-) Well, that about sums it up. X-D ~~END~~
  13. Hey, no hard feelings. I respect your opionion just as I respect everybody elses on eurobricks, Sting. I was just stating mine as well. ;-) Although, I have to say that building is still one of my favorite parts of a kit, and I don't agree that piece counts are down at all. I mean, just look at Exo-force, and you'll see what I mean! And, also, I don't worship lego. I dislike the Fireboat, Grevious Starfighter, and the new racers for 2007. I just think that TLC really is making a leap foward from the glum 1997-2002 period. ;-)
  14. Yeah, I though LOM was okay, too. The aliens were cool to me, actually, and I loved that the mechs could transform without deconstructing the sub assemblies. I did not like the astronauts shuttle though. Yuck, what a horible design! :-X Of course, with lego being like it is now, a space theme like Life on Mars would definately be a step backward! I have a fair amount hope, though, that TLC will pull off the return to Space nicely, just like they pulled Aquaraiders off great! ;-)
  15. Great review. *y* I love the entertainment system details and the cool color scheme, but as usual, no buy from me (I'm not a big techinc fan, and system and Bionicle appeals to me more. Plus, Technic can be a very pricy lego hobby! X-D ). Lets hope that people will make reviews for the 2007 technic kits! ;-)
  16. I hardly think the old town sets are FAR better than the CITY sets of today. The police station was one of the best stations ever, IMO, since it had great detail inside and out (each of the different rooms had great little details), and was a good value overall. True, the mountain baseplates can get annoying, but other than that, I don't see whats the problem. If it's because you hate the curved slope bricks and modern style, well, thats a bit too critical, IMO. Just because the new kits are in a different style than the old kits doesn't mean they are much more bad. One thing that also makes the new CITY kits BETTER than the old town kits is the fact that the interior detail looks much more realistic, and is not just lots of chairs and random tables. That's what many of the old town kits had a problem with. And, why is the airport so terible? You must be one of the people who hate the new airplanes entirely if you hate it so much. But, I don't see what is wrong with the design. It's bigger, for sure, but like Bloody Jay said in his review, it looks just like a modern jet plane, and not a small private jet like all the old town jets. I never liked them because of their tinyness. The airport has plenty of things going for it, like a slick shape, great control tower, and some cool extras like a bagage cart and cool interior details. How does that make it terribler?
  17. Huh? I'm not anywhere near endor now, I'm in deep space, still battling out your darn tie fighters! Whoops, there goes another one... BOOM!!!!!!' Besides, the rebels don't have any affiliations with the Ewoks yet, anyway. We're Pre-Episode 4, remember? ;-) BTW, I am glad you are now on our side, oo7! If I had known that Starwars4J was so susceptible to the evil Empire, I would have not tried to make a deal with him. And, why is he already an Admiral? Is the Empire so thin on allies that they must use whoever they can get to carry out their tyranical schemes? Maybe the Rebels have already won! X-D
  18. Hah! Do you actually think a couple of puny Tie Fighters are capable of out maneuvering a Modified Jedi Starfighter? (which happens to be my ship. I was able to salvage it after it's jedi pilot died thanks to your evil Order 66) You make me laugh, Vader. X-D Starwars4J, I shall gladly accept your service, if of course you will not betray us (The rebels) while you are on a mission. Be like a Bounty hunter, not like a spy, SW4J, and we shall pay you. Does everybody else with the Rebels agree we should accept his help, or should we say no? Yah! You're pesky Tie Fighters may be annoying, Vader, but they're hardly resistant to laser fire! There goes one member of the squad you sent: :-P
  19. You will think differently when I help the rebels destroy your Tie army, Vader. >:-) And, I am not certain you know the definintion of "scum." Seems that you fit the deffinition more tightly. X-D Which reminds me: I believe it is time for the Rebels to regroup and begin a campaign of attacking Imperial structures that would otherwise help them win the war. We must talk, Commander Mutley, as well as whoever is willing to help in the Rebels effort to eliminate the horor of the Empire.
  20. I was thinking about that as well, jeffery. The only problem would be that since the mechs are so big, making a game simalar to Lego starwars would be much harder (I can't really even imagine 2 player). A better alternative, IMO, would be a simple RTS style game where you can really build an army of mechs and vehicles. I know that since the target audience is kids, it might not be fesable, but even as we speak, Supreme Commander, the most anticipated RTS of 2006, has been given a E10 rating (meaning any kids ten and up can play it). So, I hardly think that is out of the question. ;-) In a Exo-force RTS, you should be able to play as either the robots or the humans, and you could do campaigns with each of them. There should be multiplayer, and most of the Exo-force vehicles should be buildable in the game. As for the violence level, since it would have to be E10, the only vilolence would be mechs and buildings blowing up in many different ways. X-D
  21. Ah, no, that is just my codename (in this thread it is, anyway). I was given that name due to the fact that I was one of his followers during my mixed up years before the horrible Empire came along. Now, I have found peace while fighting with thr Rebelion, and I will do everything possible to help bring you and your master down, Vader. ;-) As for my real name, well, why would I be so foolish to give that away to my worst enemy? X-D
  22. Odd, I see no guidelines. Could they have dissapeared thanks to the clumsy order the Tie army keeps? X-D (actually, I know they are around somewhere, could somebody point me to them?) Beware, Vader, for I am with the rebels, piloting my space fighter and helping the rebels bring victory against your tyranical faction. The rebels will triumph! ;-) And, I have always despised how you became a traitor and joined the Empire, Yoda. Or, are you even Yoda? Could you be an insane clone that has now confused good with evil? (Think Jedi Master C'Boath from the Thrawn Trilogy). I am not so sure you are really the great Jedi master. ;-)
  23. I can. You're just looking at the big picture, and not just on the problems of the sets (which is, IMO, how to respond). I wholy agree with you. ;-) If not, then once again, I will be glad to help, since I will most likely purchase at least some of them. ;-)
  24. Trust me, you really don't want to make a whole topic about simple artwork like this on Eurobricks (I got panned for it when I did something simalar). The pictures not half bad, I just don't know how the adults will react.
  25. *Sigh* I hope so, otherwise poor Sne is going to have a pretty boring year lego wise. X-D Likewise, I never said that DS and AR had nothing in common, either. They just to me are totally different themes, but that's more in my preference. Truth to be told, I didn't have a feeling of deja'vu at all when I saw the first AR pictures. But, I'm usually not as hard on TLC anyway, so it's probably just me. ;-) Actually, DS was the only AT subtheme I really didn't like. The origanal and the Ice theme were not half bad, IMO. I liked the transforming functions in Ice AT, and the origanal was a bit cool in some areas. Still not my favorite theme though, thats for sure. ;-)
