  1. Null vote for me, as I love both sets from what I've seen, but have neither X-D (so my opionon is really not based on experience with the sets). Really, it all comes down to which theme you like better as of now, Zane. If you still really love Exo-force, you might want to get the Sentai Fortress, but if you want something new, and a break from Exo-force, the Viking Fortress would be your best bet. Either way, they're both awesome parts packs and have a great value in pieces and playability. ;-) Edit: Just realized Sting took the words out of my mouth. Oops.
  2. Nope. I said what I meant and I meant what I said. X-D From what I saw, the response to Aquaraiders both on here and at BZP was very positive, so that's why I said that. ;-)
  3. New set: Nocturn (no pictures). Man, the 2007 lego info just keeps rolling in! Who knows... we could be seeing the Barraki in stores before this year is over.... ;-)
  4. It may not be orriganal, but it takes the best of the small and medium Fire sets and puts it into one set, which is great if you missed out on the old fire line or want a kit that has it all. Plus, its a fairly cheap way to get some cool parts like the red hinge plates and that AWESOME windsheild! ;-) Oh, and did I mention that I love the back of the truck? Very cool, even though it's stickers. *y*
  5. Looks fine to me, and it reminds me a lot of the old diver kits with the cool action features (which is a good thing). ;-) I don't think it's the ONLY reason... as while you get much less acessories, you get an extra figure, which is also an excellent reason to buy it. :-) But, my point is that I and many other people will no doubt enjoy this set, because it is actually complete mini Aquaraiders playset, due to it having a monster and figures, not just figures. It's another must buy for me! ;-)
  6. Thank you so much for the lightening-fast review, bdd! ;-) I am going to get this and the Angler fish set for sure. All the great pieces and models in these sets will probably please even many of the less positive lego fans. It sure is pleasing a lot of the people here and on BZP! ;-)
  7. .... That is SO unfair. X-D But, really, how did he get them if they were supposed to be out in JANUARY 2007?! Man, I so want these guys now, especially since Dekar appears to have a normal yellow color! 8-
  8. It's not a bad year to me, it's just a year that could be better. I am loving the small mechs and the Shadow crawler, though, and other than the Iron Condor, I'll probalbly get all of them. ;-)
  9. Not to mention losing over a third of his human flesh in the process... X-D It's a good thing I didn't rebel against my Jedi master, because he would have creamed me! Seems as you never learn, though, Vader, as you foolishly tried to challenge a Jedi Master who had superior powers and wisdom... Someday you will make another foolish mistake, and that time, you will not escape with your life. >:-)
  10. Uh? What's so hideous about the offical model? Just curious, because it looks pretty good to me...
  11. Odd. Why are all these 2007 kits showing up on Shop at Home when it's barely November? More leaks? Probably not, since they are on the Offical Lego website, but it still makes me wonder... 8-|
  12. Well, since I am a Bionicle fan, I really can't agree that Bionicle pieces are stupid and not true lego (bionicle is technic to me, and technic is true lego), but I can agree really actually think they don't really work that good with bionicle pieces. I would have prefered the monsters being brickbuilt like in the new Aquaraiders kits. The dragon, wolf, and serpent heads are AWESOME to me, however. Oh, I started collecting lego way back when I was four or five (back in 1997 or 1998), so I missed out on many of the great kits of long ago. Despite that, I still have some older kits in my collection, and I have done plenty of research on the old kits before 1997. I am basing my opinions a lot on what I've seen online (I look at instruction, read reviews, look at piece inventories, etc), but also because the new kits still really feel like lego to me, since I have a fair amount of them as well as a fair amount of older kits. ;-)
  13. Actually, I think it works the other way, robinwan. The more rebel ships come out of hyperspace, the harder it is for you to defeat them. X-D But, have it your way, and we will destroy you easily. :-P
  14. *Falls on the floor* I really quite think you're the first lego fan I've ever heard say that. EVER. From what I've read, lego fans and non-lego fans rejoiced over Starwars (brought quite a few people out of their dark ages!), and Batman brought simalar results. Hearing you say that all lisences are SAD makes me want to cry. :'-( That also makes me want to cry. Vikings was the most popular new theme in years when it was released, both for kids and adults. And, rip off? The Fortress has over 1000 pieces, and it's only $70! Doesn't sound any more a rip off than the kits of the 90s... 8-| If you truly think that, then I'm very sorry for you. Sorry that you really see no good in TLC today and won't until the go back to the style of the 90's (which looks a bit plain now, to me). You're probably the most anti 2006 lego fan I've seen on this forum (not meant as a insult, you'd probably agree), and I really wish something from that year would please you, just so you could go back to buying lego from the stores. :-(
  15. Sorry for double posting, but since this post has nothing to do with the last one I made, I thought I might as well. Here's a guide for the Bioncle Heroes demo, which can be found on the offical website (which is what we're talking about!). Please let me know if I made any mistakes (I probably made at least one). ;-) Bionicle Heroes: Demo Walkthrough for PC Copyright 2006 Daniel Carnes 1: Introduction 2: Controls 3: Basic Game Strategies 4: Walkthrough 5: Characters 6: Enemies 7: Items and Objects 8: Thanks 1: Introduction Ever since the fantasy building toy line called Bionicle was released by The Lego Company in 2001, it has become a smash hit around the USA and beyond. Unfortunately, Bionicle has always been lacking in the Video Game department, save for a good GBA only game called Bionicle Maze of Shadows. From what I
  16. When I look at the 2007 firestation, I really can't agree with that. X-D The Batcave and Batwing? Viking Fortress and Ship? Police Station and Building Crane? Striking Venom? Jaba's Sail Barge, Slave I, and Vader's Tie Advanced? Royal King Castle? Technic Firetruck? Designer Mythical Creatures and Roaring Roadsters? Krusty Crab and Fire Nation Ship? etc etc etc... You hate ALL OF THAT? I really don't know what to say to that. 8-|
  17. Lord Helden, I hardly think calling Bionicle Heroes a "Blow-em up crap game" really is a fair observance. I mean, although there are a lot of gun like weapons, they are more like elemental powers then rockets and guns. So, lewa's axe firing air-like shots and pohatu's hands (not feet, they are the hands) firing stone projectiles really isn't that unrealistic Bionicle speaking. But more importantly, Bioncle heroes has a lot of things in common with Lego Starwars (collectable pieces as currency, simple puzzles, loads of unlockable content, different powers for each characters that are not just weapon powers), which, as everybody here knows, is a good thing. I've played the demo, and it really does feel like a Bionicle game, from the sound effects to all the lego piece touches, and it's easily distinguishable from plain blow-em-up shooters (IMO). Dino Bot, sorry to say, but it is a spin off storyline. But just barely, actually, since it does follow the general concept of Bionicle 2006. The Piraka have stolen the mask of life, but instead of it unleashing the Ancient evil, it turns all the wildlife on Voya-Nui into different creatures (which is totally possibe in the offical Bionicle storyline, according to GregF). The Inika may be the only toa in the game, but the Voyatoran do make appearances, and they, like in 2006, give the Inika new weapons. It's more like an alternate storyline path instead of a complete spin-off. ;-)
  18. I am afraid I am not a Jedi, Exo-champ. I only have a small knowledge of the Force, and that is due to some traning I was going through under a Jedi Master's guidance. He died when Order 66 was carried out, so I decided to take his spare lightsaber and Jedi Starfighter and had vowed to avenge him. The Impeiral dogs will pay for that deadly order. >:-(
  19. Bionicle Heroes website. The graphics on the site are really great! And I'm glad we can now see a lot more of the characters and weapons (which are looking totally awesome!). It's odd though that the DS version is rated T for teen when the other versions are rated E10 - even though they are rated for the exact same content. *wacko* This is a pinner. *goes to add it to the Bionicle Index* ;-)
  20. WOW! Those are some sweet space MOC's! 8-
  21. I read you, Exo-champ. I shall be there as fast as possible, but considering that I am under attack by one of Axle's star destroyers, that could take a few minutes. It is a good thing that I had a hyperdrive instaled in my trusty Jedi Starfighter. Preparing to activate hyperdrive sequence.... Ah good, lost Axle's cumbersome bucket of bolts. X-D And, I must apologize to you, General Exo-Champ. I was not able to join the last battle due to a skirmish I had with a squad of tie fighters sent by Robinwan to destroy me. None of them survived, however, so at least the delay was not for nothing. ;-)
  22. ???? I never heard them say anything like that. Besides, I really don't think it's as much a matter of not wanting to lose members as it is that many forums are, well, not so good. Since parrents may want their kids to stay off those "bad" forums, BZP decided to stop letting people post links to other forums entirely, since so many have "bad" things on them Now, I for one dislike the language people sometimes use here (you know what I mean), but since it is not nearly as rampant as on other forums, I put up with it. BUT, the kid's parrents may think differently, and since BZP does not want parrents complaning that they are linking to "bad" sites with language, BZP really can't link to them without risking a lot of angry emails being sent to them. BZP wants to remain as a kid friendly, clean site, and linking to fourms with things that are not like that risks their reputaiton. That make sense? Plus, BZP does not want people linking to sites with the leaked pictures either, not just posting images, so linking to Eurobricks (which casualy shows leaked pictures) is a no no if they want to also keep their reputation with TLC and GregF. ;-) Edit: Darn it, didn't realize that JINZONINGEN already gave an answer to hewkii. Oh well, at least now he has backup. X-D
  23. As yoda says, size matters not. Just because a site is big doesn't mean it will always get special privilages. If Eurobricks was that big right now, and BZP was smaller, but EB still posted the pictures, it wouldn't really matter. ;-) Actually, yes. The Bionicle Heroes interviews have been really popular, from what I've seen. Probably because the game is so cool, IMO, but also because its the first big Bionicle game since 2003, and will definately be better than Bionicle: the game. ;-) No, at least not the first two books. And, I agree that pictures tell a lot more about the SETS, but not nearly as much about the story, which is as popular as the sets on BZP (unlike here). But, is it really that hard for BZP members to go here or on Brickshelf and find the pictures anyway? X-D Not really a matter of being old, as there are lots of older teens and adults who love the Bionicle story. And, I can tell you, that Bionicle is still a lot different than the average tv show or franchise. WAY different, and not nearly as generic even though it's in its 6 year (IMO). But, its no problem if you don't like the story, but love the sets. The majority of EB is like that, anyway! I'm simply saying that BZP is just a different story than EB, due to fans loving the story so much and not wanting to lose ties with Greg or TLC, the story info givers. Thats why these pictures are a nono on BZP, because if they lost Greg and TLC, they lose the story info they get so often and love so much. ;-)
  24. Great to see another BZP member here, TOM! And, yeah, you pretty much summed up everything I was thinking. X-D It's too bad Pridak is the least clear of all the 2007 images, but the other images were a nice surprise! I'm not sure about the Polyps, but I'll have to wait until I get some to make judgement. Love the box displays as well! ;-) BTW, I don't think GregF has ever blantly lied about something he shared, and actually, although the infor he usually gives is small, he gives out tons of it. Besides he's not the only reason why BZP refuses to display the pictures. By not doing that, they keep dirrect ties with the Lego Company, which means ocassionally special things like the interview with the Bionicle Heroes developer. Besides, if GregF leaves, than alot of fans on the site will be really unhappy, since they will not be able to ask him anything anymore or get any special info. I think keeping the pictures off for now is more logical, considering what possition they are in. ;-)
