For me building isnt about speed. And for Orthanc 2 hours is impossible. But if not, it's inaccurate and no fun at all. A set like Orthanc deserves to be worshipped by building it nicely and neatly.

I just thought about an option to get a huge Minas Tirith... A set for the kings hall or upper part area and then a lego Minas Tirith creator set. Including instructions for different walls/houses. Plus the gate. And then an instruction for the final huge minas tirith. Just dreaming...

Uruk Hai Army. Definetly. 4 times. plus helms deep gives you a nice looking wall. And you have some uruks and rohan soldiers. 2 Black Gates is also a must.

The story is about the members of the fellowship and their mission. Even if split apart. I think this is going off topic...

The whole story is about the fellowship, the defeating of the evil forces and the destroying of the ring. But for your theory: Elronds Council would have fit perfectly in the first wave because this is where the fellowship was founded. Also what about the orc forge? Ideal "enemy"-set...

I don't think the box art has anything to do with the sets in the wave. Like the second wave: why should it be the villain wave? With sets like e. Council and pirateship. Doesnt make sense to me. Or the first wave: the fellowship? Helms deep and uruk hay f.e. arent really fellowship sets.

I think i almost used spare parts from the 2nd gate, like from the rocks left and right. But for the walkway needed some additional brown plates. I also added some bricks to close a couple gaps in the front of the gate.

Big question: when you build the orthanc, will you do it bag by bag or mix all bricks togehter... i mixed them when i was building helms deep(about 1400 pcs, right?). But 2359pcs... tempting... plus they're all black...

Hey everybody. I'm new in this forum but have been reading all the discussions since Lego LotR first came out. I got all the Hobbit and LotR sets and can't wait till the next wave appears... Has anyone seen them in Germany yet?
