  1. Okay, posts like these frustrate me because it'd be impossible to make an accurate Sauron without new moulds, which LEGO cannot make soley for exclusives. Bolg is possible, Thranduil is. Iron hillers maybe are, Ian Holm Bilbo is. Sauron in armour is not. Do I want a figure of him? Hell yeah! But it's almost impossible, unlike possible characters that are also important, like old Bilbo or Bolg.
  2. Yeah, probably. I would say that the only chance at more Tolkien LEGO is an Ideas project. (I'm honestly really wondering what could happen to the Minas Tirith project.) Non-exclusive, I mean. I'm actually waiting to buy BoFA and DGA/WKB in case there's a Bolg in December. I mean, LEGO must have done 1/2 and 2/2 winter sets in October and November leaving December open, right?
  3. Still, Ian Holm Bilbo would be PERFECT for a DK book...
  4. Honestly, it'd be cool to get Thorin, but he's already gotten THREE variants. He's had his run, I think that instead of a new variant we should get a secondary character. I love Thorin, but I would say that Bolg is more important than another variation.
  5. I like the Galadriel minifigure, but I was playing LEGO The Lord of the Rings a couple of days ago and I remembered how much I loved that design for her. I wish they had used it.
  6. We all are...=(
  7. Oh, I really like your ideas! I was just reacting to the fact that there's no chance for any of that.
  8. Hey, on a scale from 1-10, (10 being highest.) How would you rate the part selectiong, minifigures, and overall set of GKB? Also, does anyone know of a place (non-Ebay) where the Goblin King Battle is on sale? I live in 'merica.
  9. I recently got to the Lonely Mountain in the video game, and was wandering around when I realized that a structure I had seen to the south of the mountain in walkthroughs I had watched before I got the game was (Kind of obviously) an unlabled Ravenhill. Unlabled for now, that is. On the subject of the game, I REALLY want to see the army controls from the Clone Wars game implemented. I havn't played The Clone Wars, but from what I've seen the feature would work really well. I also hope with the DLC that (Even though it's likely not going to happen) you can go inside and explore Erebor.
  10. I would say that for The Battle, it would have been best to make a Dale set with orcs, Bolg, Thranduil, elves and men, a piece of the Dwarven wall with Thorin, Bard, some extra dwarves or two, and then ravenhill, with Legolas, Dain, the crossbow thing, Azog, and a couple of orcs. I may go into more detail later, maybe even create my vision in LDD.
  11. Probably due to some two-movies-to-three shennanigans.
  12. Exactly.
  13. I just listened to each sample of the tracks to BotFA, and Dain and the Iron hill's theme is AWESOME. ^This. Just all of ^ this.
  14. Dwarfing it? Nah, "Manning it" is fine.
  15. I expect he was advancing on a dwarf, and she was defending it. I think the closest Thranduil will get to killing her is like Frodo on top of Sam with sting.
  16. Yeah, those are Nazgûl. And I think Bolg would be more likely, take no new moulds and overall be more pragmatic on LEGO's part. And if Tauriel dies, I'm sure it's not in that scene with Bolg. She may still be killed by him, but it's too s too sudden and not a proper film death, PJ wouldn't dk that, nor probably give it away in the trailer.
  17. The only main thing that I don't like much is that the rooftops aren't dark red, but that's not a big deal. XP
  18. Yeah, I understand your situation, I just think that they look best spread out together.
  19. Honestly, I feel like that's because you haven't displayed those sets very well. Thrandy's stag was actually available through (Was it the big/little) a character DLC, (Which I ended up getting) so it's unlikely that it'll show up in the BotFA expansion.
  20. Usually they ask for a special ID thing that comes in the instructions.
  21. I've never taken the arms off of my LotR figures, I've just posed them and stuff.
  22. I never "Skipped" on sets, I got as many as I could afford. I even got Wizard Battle, and then got another as a gift! XP Even though I never got Goblin King, I'm now REALLY considering it...
  23. This has happened to me with a few figures as well, including the two you mentioned. I just simply prefer to not think about it...=/
  24. I really doubt that the designers, or LEGO don't care about the theme. I'm sure that it just makes business sense to them to end it.
