  8. My only gripe with this is they will all be fleshies. so they wont blend in with my other pirates sets. Unless i imagine they are untanned albino pirates visiting the carribean...... And i guess you wont be able to change over the heads easy because alot of fleshy colours will be printed on the torsos too
  9. I would have to open it. To see it on a shelf and never experience building that set? That would feel almost criminal. Free those Minifigs from that cardboard tomb i say!!
  10. Im agreeing on the hat. I will fix that up shortly. Thanks for the nice comments as always guys Would you like me to start posting my decals on here?
  11. Always enjoy your mocs lightingtiger. You capture that familiar australia in lego
  12. For my latest work ive been making an army based on the french revolutionary army. This is my Napoleon figure before he was emperor. From 1796 to 1797 he led a victorious campaign in northern Italy, which made his name and set him on his path to glory. Im going to use this figure in a moc of the battle of Arcole where he led his men, flag in hand, across the bridge under heavy fire.
  13. Hey Woody ive ordered some of those forage caps you did for my frenchies. I will post some pics once they have arrived and ive got them painted up nicely.
  14. Some of the detailed figures. First some light infantry then line infantry Sapper(pioneer)14th light, Carabinier 1st light, Officer 1st light, Carabinier(light infantry elite), Tambour(Drummer)1st light infantry reg. Grenadiers, Sergent, Officer, Grenadiers in campaign dress(patches on trousers or tears)
  15. True a brown one or leaving it blue would be better. Nice picture too of the miniatures Tanotrooper. The 112th Demi-Brigade was formed in 1793 as part of the reforme of the revolutionary armies. Part of these changes was creating Demi-Brigades from the old regiments. Each Demi-Brigade was made up of 3 battalions, the first and third were made from new recruits and national guardsmen, the second was from old army regulars to add experience to the Demi-Brigade. When Napoleon came to power the name Demi-Brigade was replaced once again by regiment so the 112th became the 112th regiment of the line under the Empire.
  16. I might change it to black for the flagpole. Interestingly though alot of the flagpoles were painted blue by the French, particularly during the empire of Napoleon.
  17. Here are some photos of my latest project. This is the 112 Demi-Brigade as it was created as part of the reforms of the French army during the Revolution. These Regiments were full of eager volunteers and conscripted soldiers raised to defend the Republic from its many enemies. I like the ragged look of the soldiers at this time as it allows alot of variations in the uniforms. This regiment fought against the Austrians, Prussians, Dutch and British in Belgium and then later in Italy. It was a regiment filled mainly with Belgians during the Empire period under Napoleon.
  18. Hey Woody. Yeah the figure 24 is the one thanks. My project at the moment is some pre empire figures. Im making a revolutionary demi-brigade so the undress caps would be great. I think i will need to order some of your british artillerymen helmets as they were worn by many frenchmen too. Most of my lego is still in boxes waiting for our move overseas.
  19. Indeed this is useful tip Woody. Ive found it works well and it also serves to protect the paint too. Also a question for you, do you believe you could make 2 items with Shapeways. The first is a undress or forage cap worn by the French, and also a backpack without the greatcoat rolled on its top? link to a few pics on a thread below My link Cheers
  20. Very nice truck. I love how well you have captured the front grille design on the truck. I must get my hands on some of those chrome petrol tanks too
  21. I went into my local Target store which has been selling the minifigs to get a few more. Unfortunatly I found all the packets had been ripped open and the figures were in pieces with many missing. Such a shame people would resort to this kind of behaviour.
  22. Hi all. I was having a look at various engines i could build on one of my train RC bases. Presently im in the process of moving to Belgium so i thought i mite make a train from that country. NMBS operated these engines on the Oostende line. They used 3 pantographs for various voltages aswell. My Lego collection will be boxed up now for its long sea voyage to my new home so this will be one of my last creations on here for a while.
  23. My votes are for- 1 point Tanotrooper capture of the 45th's eagle 1 point for Woody64 return from Balaclava 1 point for Alak battle of hagelberg this has been a great contest. look forward to another one in the future
  24. Awesome entry. I remember visiting the battlefield a couple of years ago and seeing all the landmarks of the battle. La Haye Sainte and La belle alliance. The battlefield is actually on a very small area of land and little changed after all this time. your reproduction of the building is very acurate so great work!
  25. Nice work woody. The decals are really nice on these figures. Into the valley of death rode the 600.
