  1. Really looking forward to seeing a pub added to the town. Seems to be the only thing missing from an Australian main street. That picnic area is a neat addition, could also be a driver reviver stop for the tourists
  2. I actually found some inspiration in a couple of old worksheds here in Belgium for the architecture style. Thanks to Peter Van Gestel for these photos. Heer-Agimont loods @ L154 by Peter Van Gestel, on Flickr Locloods @ Mol by Peter Van Gestel, on Flickr
  3. Yes i agree with Saint that plywood is a bad idea in the garden. Why not buy timber for an outdoor deck as most of it is precut to a similar width needed for lego track. It is better suited for outdoor weather. Then checkout garden storage boxes as I remember in Australia we sold alot of those with a handy flip open lid which would allow you to quickly place module lengths of track approx 2m long into it when needed. Im sure that would be alot handier than carrying it all inside the house.
  4. Thanks for the kind comments everyone. Hope you noticed your standing on the balcony of the Signal House 12 Volt?
  5. Indexed by Moderator As I have now finnished a few locomotives and some rolling stock I decide to start on a new table layout. This is the first section done with the engine workshed and signal house. More parts will follow hopefully soon if the kids give me spare time Small engine workshed and Signal House by michaelozzie1, on Flickr Engine workshed by michaelozzie1, on Flickr I used alot of the new brick bricks for the engine shed. Anybody else notice though they are slightly shorter than the standard brick height? Using alot of them in a tall wall leves an uneven gap at the top The rear of the engine shed by michaelozzie1, on Flickr Engine shed by michaelozzie1, on Flickr Signal house by michaelozzie1, on Flickr
  6. Excellent work
  7. I used to get photo sticker paper from Officeworks which worked great in inkjet printers and it was a glossy finnish so it looked much better in colour clarity. Now im using vinyl sticker paper which is a bit stronger than the paper stickers and wears longer. Town is going great LT. Always nice to pop by and check your updates on this thread
  8. 1806 is very much in the Pirate era considering the battle of Trafalgar was in 1805 and the battle of Copenhagen was in 1807, two very large sea battles. Piracy and battles between ships was a busy business in this period. It wasn't until 1815 that european powers started to tackle the problem of the Barbary Pirates in north africa. Anyway great figures Tano And nice to see a white uniformed frenchy. Clever idea for the shako too.
  9. Thanks tedbeard, I hadn't seen this program before but it will help with my layout planning
  10. Your a busy builder LT. It does improve the look with those higher walls though its really another great moc by you, well done champ
  11. Ok here is a new project ive finally started. Basically for this WIP I want to combine a modular 32x32 baseplate idea with a tabletop wargaming system for my Napoleonic armies. The idea is to have different buildings and terrain features which can be joined together in various ways to create different battlefields and layouts. These are my first 2 bases for a village setting, it includes a house with a walled garden and a church. The church is actually based off the one from the Austrian village of Aspern and was an important feature in that battle. I liked its design as it has a look that could be used to represent a church in Central Europe, Italy or even Spain. I will be adding other buildings and things like bridges, a walled cemetery, farm fields etc and will update with new pics as they are done in this thread. I will be adding interiors to these buildings also. some more pics can be found on my Flickr Aspern Church and a village house Im adding sections that can be removed to simulate battle damage on walls and roofs etc Rotating and joining the bases in different ways will allow easy layout changes
  12. Yes they are from Woody64's shop. I have enough for all my infantry so they can either be in bicorn hats for pre 1807 or shakos for after then
  13. ooooooh a lacey collar on the shakespear guy. Finally we can make some renaissance figures. I love the conquistador too
  14. Yes I love the 80's guys best. Thats propably because its what I played with in my childhood and they always looked so good in big numbers working on the railways in the Lego catalogues from that time.
  15. Seeing we already have pigs, horses, cows, chickens and goats, those sheep are very much needed next. Im also thinking a donkey would be useful. Hope we see these animals make it on CUUSOO
  16. Very impressive work. I like the modular design element to it too
  17. Very neat idea that
  18. The mitre 10 looks great again LT. Think you will need to put some stock outside though like they normally do. I'm thinking some outdoor furniture, bbq's and ladders etc. Also how about a take away shop for the hungry New Mannumites with fish and chips offcourse
  19. Ok so here is what ive been working on in my precious few free hours. Here we have 3 of the regiments that served under Marshall Ney in his VI corps from 1805 to 1809. All have my new decal designs and the 6th light regiment has woody64 shakos. This is based on a pre-1807 army so the line infantry wear bicorns still and only the light infantry have shakos. All 3 regiments break down roughly the same in makeup of grenadiers/carabiniers x8, fusiliers/chasseurs x12, voltiguers x4, and column head troops like drummers, flag bearers and officers etc. I have almost finnished a regiment of foot chasseurs of the guard who will march alongside these guys in future battles and a Russian and Austrian army is underway too. More photos on my flickr
  20. Ive been waiting to see how this turned out and its very impressive. Your custom pelisse looks great! Dont get discouraged though on the colouring, its all about trial and error till you get it looking right. I know I went through 10 decal designs till it looked the right way. It is very time consuming though making a custom army
  21. Thanks Aalak. All the decals have been updated on my troops to the new designs. About 100 men so far. Will be posting pics soon of larger mocs with them.
  22. I really like the way this moc is coming along LT. Those gondolas are great and the front of the shop is superbly done
  23. [pid][/pid]214A A little vignette of some french soldiers warming themselves by a fire on the epic march across the alps with Napoleon in 1800. I wanted to make a little campfire scene with the lightbrick and I havn't posted any mocs here for a while of my custom Napoleonic soldiers. This moc shows an officer and some men finding a little shelter amongst the rugged mountains. Im planning to make a series of mocs based on the artist Keith Roccos paintings from Napoleon's Italian campaigns. Cheers everyone
  24. Great Eurosprinter and yes those front curves are hard to capture in lego but you have done it beautifully
