Can confirm that that the previous guess was accurate: *LOSS *Mask Maker vs Skull Grinder *Ikir *Tahu 2016 *Onua 2016 *Umarak the Hunter *Umarak the Destroyer Whatever it has to say about the line itself, it's a remarkably enjoyable story.

Official statement coming Saturday, just so nobody has a panic attack.

I'll be entering (since I promised I would). First time I've picked up bricks for MoCing in... oof, five years or so?

It looked pretty challenging to me, but I'd love to see the community figure it all out. Bfa on BZP has already figured out how the staff works. And yeah, looks like it only uses parts from those seven sets.

Everybody is on vacation, so nobody is around to approve the transcripts! (also I'm not done, but thaaaat's a different story)

Nick and Corvin are fantastic people, I was glad to be able to hang out with them a little bit in Denmark =)

I think in general it wouldn't matter what pieces you use, so long as you can use them in a way that is consistent with CCBS principles and techniques. Look at the 2016 sets; they brought back a "pre-2011" piece, to use your criteria - the Skrall armor piece. But the way they integrate it and its overall form factor meshes well with the CCBS aesthetic, even if it wasn't designed specifically for that. So if you can use a piece like that, it's okay, y'know?

Very cool; always love seeing TransforMoCs and the skill that goes into making them actually transformable. The color schemes are a little bit chaotic - but I totally get not being able to just willy-nilly order things off Bricklink. Looking forward to seeing what else you've got!

I happened to wind up with Lewt, my second Mixel; my first one was the... catapault guy, from series 5? I think? I'm totally lost with all of their names and everything. But I love Lewt! Crabs are great.

Oh that is delightfully creepy. I've already used up multiple Umaraks, but should I ever purchase another one... Thanks for the picture!

Man, why does Ekimu even need to transform? Little Ekimu is a total BAMF anyway =P

I like that they ALSO call them the "Elemental Beasts", makes for a nice duality with the Elemental Creatures. That said... which one is it? =P

Visual breakdown of the new JTO poster! God, I love Volta's work.

I'm a sucker and I bought it off eBay. Nice that Newsstand actually offered a little shoutout, though; they tweeted about it.

Animations that, y'know, WERE recycled for the box comic styles? Although if you're implying those are better than the graphic novels, I don't really know what to say, other than that's totally not how you use the word "objective".

Some of those background and character designs are amazing. Volta was such a good choice for this series.

My beef with the jaw piece is that it totally looks like and could be reversible, but isn't. It's not useless by any stretch, but in terms of its application in the sets itself, it feels really specific.

That poster is just phenomenal. Mad props to Volta for designing it. And I wonder what that face is...

I don't think the mask necessarily corresponds to his element, so not ice - they just wanted to match him to the last large Toa. Water, I guess? I don't think it's really as relevant. Oh, no question, the Shadow Traps are the best part of the year. They're adorable, simple, brilliant, and functional.

I don't think it was unfair at all (and with the amount of people saying so, you think the model would have done worse in the actual voter polls), but I think it was more on the model builder to have been self-aware enough to realize the kinds of reactions those pieces would have caused; it honestly would have been even less fair for LEGO to deny it solely based on those, at any rate. I can understand that you aren't personally as invested in the material as others, but to blame that on the material itself doesn't feel right. And at some point, I think it definitely is the burden of the fanbase; you can't expect everything handed to you on a platter. If you're wanting more, you have to look for what's out there and get involved. That's the whole point of fan communities in the first place; I'm not calling out EB's populace specifically at all, I'm saying this applies overall.

That whole argument about the new pieces is so tired. I can't speak to the voting round itself, but after that they were judged by both community representatives chosen by LEGO, and then LEGO itself. I'm not a fan of the final model myself, but I hope nobody is convinced that the presence of new pieces had anything to do with why it won. And who's fault is that? You can't blame people for failing to do something and then not do anything yourself. It doesn't work that way. If that's not enough for you, then do something about it; fan fiction, speculation, whatever. The community (ALL of it, regardless of where they are) needs to put its money where its mouth is, and get engaged. <3

And yet the announcement of a BIONICLE Rebrick contest doesn't excite people... clearly it's a lot more fun to speculate on the possible end of a line than it is to enjoy what it's actually offering.

Oof, finally. Was told the UK version was coming, but didn't have a firm date. Will wait for that to import =)

Finally managed to post my first interview; it's not BIONICLE (don't kill me) but it does have some news I think people will be excited about... Interview with Rebrick
