Actually I've long since been thinking of, and proposing, an EB English event. I suggest we meet either at LegoLand Windsor or in Milton Keynes, which is nice and central and has a LEGO shop. When? Well, that's a whole other discussion.

That's really smart *y*

My StealthX was built when I should have been working on my portfolio for work. The StealthX is complete (for now), but the work project is barely started.

Ireland to send a turkey to the eurovision.
captaintau replied to Dfenz's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I can't believe Andy Abraham is associating himself with Eurovision. -
Yes, but those couple of days are really annoying. You could have built it in that time. If no-one's home, DHL will leave it with a neighbour, which not every other company will do. JSN: you're right that you can't post in the "BSTF" are because you're too new. However, since you arn't looking to buy or sell on this forum, I think that this is correct area anyway.

How Well Do You Like the Ninja Theme?
captaintau replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The plural for Ninja is "Ninja" and the plural for Samurai is "Samurai". Not getting at you personally, whitefang, lots of people make this mistake (including me until recently) -

Final StealthX pic's for now. The final mod that I made, I am particularly proud of. I noted that the Astromech was exposed and we've seen a few destroyed in the films. Plus, being white, it tends to stand out amongst the black StealthX. Looking down, there's also a lot of free space. So, I created a socket closure. Just two arms relying on two lots of 2x1 plates with stutter-hinges. Simple. Here it is closed Here it is open: Here's the mechanism in isolation: And finally, I had a spare Astromech head, so I created a maintainance droid thing:

Due to space constraints, those that will fit go in fold-up crates (except that they don't fold up when they're full of LEGO). I have a crate for each of the SW eps (two for ep-5) and one for all my non-SW. All crates have signs on indicating what's in them

I was thinking that with the volume of reviews that we have, why not a have a dedicated review area on the forum? OR a reviews sub-forum in the SW area. Maybe the same for pirates?

I've serioously lost the thread of this.... thread. :-( Have we learned anything new in the last forty pages?

Ireland to send a turkey to the eurovision.
captaintau replied to Dfenz's topic in Culture & Multimedia
It's like that Father Ted episode. Ireland have won it so many times and can't afford to host it, so they send Ted and Dougal to ensure that they don't win. Great stuff! :-D -

7264: Imperial Inspection From Episode: Six Year of release: 2005*** RRP: $50.00*** Pieces: 367*** This 2005 release seemed to have little advance notice or fanfare. As TLC had previously released an Imperial Shuttle, this set came under much criticism for being a re-release purely intended to make money. The Shuttle has apparently minimal alterations (I say

You've not insulted me at all. I'm just putting you right before you do insult someone. Aha! Are you diabetic, or are a diabetic. BIG difference. It's whether you use "diabetic" as a descriptor or a noun. To use "a" means labelling the person; putting them into a "group". For example: - A dog - A cat - A tramp I could go and even take this topic into racism, but that's really not fun. In conclusion, you have diabetes, but you're still a human that just happens to have a condition. I have the 'flu', you have diabetes. Labelling people went out with the Ark. Or should have done.
-
There won't be any diabetics on EuroBricks. However, we may well have members that are diabetic or indeed diabetic members. This hideous labelling of people was drummed out of me years ago.

Work In Progress My Own Creation TAGTAHS!

From my perspective, it wasn't a slight dely, it was TWO WEEKS. Now, for my StealthX, this wasn't an important piece, but it could have held up my building and been a great annoyance.

Surely the value isn't the point at all. Shouldn't all customers be valued? Also, there was no minimum order value stated, so he's willing to accept orders that small.

My life is pretty much work and dojo/dojang, with some EB, Mrs Tau, music and Hamster in between. Almsot all of my friends are through Martial Arts, so in terms of what I do with my friends, I beat them up or (in the case of a couple of them) I get beaten up by them.
