  1. Not to all the new characters, I didn't |-/
  2. I'm not inclined to read through 16 pages to see what's been said already, sorry. So apologies if this has been mentioned already. I'd really like a dojo set.
  3. The electric chair will certainly shock you. :-D
  4. I'd like to live inside the System-Scale MF or ISD
  5. Where they should: with their appropriate set
  6. New Jedi Order: Prior to reading it, I'd only read Rogue Planet and DM: SH. I was a newbie to SW novels. I ploughed through the whole NJO in a matter of weeks. I was captivated. That I knew hardly anything of the EU mattered not. Mace Windu novel: That'll be Shatterpoint. The premise was great. The end product wasn't particualrly good as I recall. I'd love another MW book. Death Star: fantastic build-up... to nothing. I loved that book until I finished it, whereupon I declared "was that it?" Such potential wasted on a poor ending.
  7. I found the Republic Commando novels a drag, sorry. For a standalone book, try Darth Bane: Path of Destruction, Outbound Flight, Yoda: Dark Rendezvous, Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader or Darh Maul: Shadow Hunter. For a series, well there's the Hand of Thrawn trilogy. I picked up the Han Solo trilogy fairly cheap off eBay last year. I personally loved the New Jedi Order series, but you need to commit to that. It's got some great stuff, especially where Luke, Kyp and Jacen are concerned. It's just let down by Han Solo, who I really (spoiler) wished they'd killed off in the final book. Plus the series sets us up for the Legacy of the Force series, which is fanstastic. I mean DARTH CAEDUS!
  8. Years ago, I "supported" the Miami Dolphins. I dunno, I just lost interest. But I did catch some of UFC 81. Did anyone catch it? The Brock Lesnar / Frank Mir match? What an impressive Hiza Gatame!
  9. I don't know particularly what I've done. If anyone needs a Martial Artist or a Nurse, then I'm here and willing. Ah, I know: - Ultimate Star Wars Minifig' Challenge (we never did do that Bounty Hunter challenge, did we?) - Star Wars reviews of older sets - And I like muffin the morning!
  10. Build Me Up, Buttercup! Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall :-D
  11. Happy Birthday. Have a good one.
  12. Was he affected at all? That's a big piece for a little creature
  13. I was thinking: between the sheer number of snakes available (like in this set) and the numerous airplanes that we have, someone shoudl do a MOC of Snakes On A Plane. We already have a Samual L Jackson minifig (of sorts). Sorry, off topic, but this thread/set gave me the idea.
  14. I actually thoroughly enjoyed it.
  15. Built it this morning. Fun build. This is my only IJ set so far, and is likely to be until next payday. Random thoughts, which I think are already covered in this thread: - TEN snakes! - Great figures, including the skeleton as it's my first one - High playability value - I found the instructions quality poor in terms of colour. The gold bricks seemed red I think that since February is b-day month, I might to get the IJ DVDs so as I can fully appreciate these sets.
  16. Just finished it. Thanks Yoda for being on a late shift today as I started building the second it was delivered. Yeah, it's a nice set. Those rebel troopers are great, especially the helmets. My one quibble would be that that they've all got the same expression! And the Speeder has no controls. This and the Dropship make a great combined set.
  17. My hamsters arn't generally allowed near my LEGO as they'd chew it. Somewhere on EB, there's a pic of a previous hamster, Buffy, atop the Millennium Falcon, staring at Han Solo. Great pic'. So, you've never set them on your pirates? :-D
  18. I was browsing through Forbidden Planet and saw Jedi Duel. I was captivated. It was cheap. It only takes one sample to start an addiction and this is just what happened.
  19. Well, YESTERDAY, I went to Buckinghamshire to a seminar of Jujitsu with people I meet on a forum (like a Eurobricks event, but violent X-D ) Today I ran my normal Jujitsu class and then went to a Karate seminar with Britain's leading Karate kata application guy. Great day. I taught him a way to teach the few throws that he does and helped with the book he's writing now.
  20. Two weeks ago, I put ALL my instructions in new LARGE ring binders, thus: - Folder 1: SW eps 1 & 2 - Folder 2: SW eps 3 & 4 - Folder 3: SW eps 5 & 6 - Folder 4: SW EU, Batman and Aquaraiders Each section of each folder has an index. The index is subsequently expanded on. Instructions are in plastic walletts in order of index, which is in numerical order. The expanded index is to ensure, should I want a particular set, I can find all the bits and have forewarning about issues. So it looks something like: 1001 - CT's special SW set - Starfighter, piloted by Luke Darklighter - Maintainence vehicle with a Rebel big behind scratcher 1002 - Rebel Death Ray Fighter - Starfighter, pilotted by Anakin Whatsisface and R2-Z5 - < note: instructions missing > 1003 - Imperial Mega Base - Base with Darth SCowell, Emperor Walsh and Imperial Osbourne - < note: turrent easily comes off > etc. It was a bit of a job to do, but worth it. It'll be easy to add to in the future
  21. Try outfitting an entire army with Mando armour. Especially since it's made of a rare metal
  22. Can I please clarify about these new minis: are they being released, or have the instructions just been "found"? Shall I wait and buy them, or source the parts?
  23. Rationale for my voting: - UCS look good... but that's all. I'd like a large and excellent set, but one with some degree of playability - Figures are essential. Though not many as the main set becomes rubbish. We need a once-only figure as part of this set - I'm not a fan of either the OT or the PT over the other. Although I'm fully aware of SW heritage and saw the OT many years before the PT, I no longer see them that way. They are a sextology (or heptology). That said, I concede the OT in many people's eyes defines SW.
  24. This has occurred to me, too. Although I have virtually every (non-UCS) SW set, I am wondering if I can honestly afford this year's offerings. I make no attempt to hide that my first priority is Martial Arts, which also eats into my money. I a, also still clearing student debts. As much as I love LEGO, and SW LEGO in particular, I can see 2008 being the start of my second Dark Age.
  25. Last night I found the clip on the legs on a Super Battle Droid from the Battle Droid Pack broken. This is the second one from the same pack.
