I meant, did our reviews agree with each other?

I did look. I just didn't find. Do we agree?

7670: Hailfire Droid and Spider Droid From Episode: Two Year of release: 2008*** RRP: $20.00*** Pieces: 249*** Having bought this, I was surprised to find a review missing from EB. So here goes. Note that I’m now broadbanded so more photo’s are possible. Yes, I know my photography skills are poor, but I’m a Nurse/Martial Arts guy/LEGO enthusiast, not a photographer. Live with it. Or just don’t read my reviews. Pic’ number one is from Peeron, showing the box. The set is arguably a wholly minifig set, which is interesting. You get three Battle Droids, a Super Battle Droid, the Hailfire (in system scale, as opposed to the technic version) and a Dwarf Spider Droid. The next pic’ is of the destruction booklet with a ruler to show you that it a small set and so a small book. Step one sees the building of the battle druids. Two standard and one commander. They all have new-style arms and new-style short weapons. Behind the BDs is the pearl-blue SBD Then the Hailfire is built. Simple but fairly fun build. Starting with the chassis, then adding in the weapons arms with eight flick-fire missiles. The biggest part of the build is the wheels. Two 10x10 transparent disks with links around them. Tedious but ultimately worth it. After attachment, side trims complete the look. The weapons arms and wheels are on stutter hinges for different positioning, as the following pics show attachment=2084:Ima Side view Action shots (yes, that’s Jedi Jimmy) Finally, the Dwarf Spider droid. Not as good as I hoped. I hate the use of this piece: As it just makes the whole thing flimsy. It’s used in the legs: Interestingly, the Spider Droid’s feet are made from Battle Droid bodies: The whole Spider droid: The whole team: And the spares: That’s a lot of spares, unless I missed something out In conclusion. Nice, small set. I’m not sure it’s really worth the price, though. None of the figures are uncommon. Really it’s role is in completing a Star Wars collection and having battles rather than acting as a standalone set. Not one for the kids, in my view Final scores (taking price into account) Variation of parts 6/10 Parts for Price: 6/10 Minifigs: 6/10 Playabilty factor* 6/10 Build 7/10 Overall 6.2/10** * Includes Swooshability factor, where appropriate ** Previous scores added together to reach score out of total of fifty, then divided by five to make an easy score out of ten. *** Information taken from Peeron

No, Numa and Alema were Jedi Apprentices of the New Jedi Order series and beyond. They did pose as dancing girls, though

Twi'lek wise, don't forget the Rar twins

All of them bar the one with AT-AT, one example of each. Edit: to clarify -The original Bloodfin - The new Bloodfin - The Lars family Speeder (Tusken Raider Encounter) - Darth Tyranus' Speeder - From the AT-TE - The BARC Speeder (Turbo Tank) - From the Clone Battle Pack - Imperial Speeder Bike from Ewok Attack - Imperial Speeder Bike x 2 from Luke Skywalker on Endor

I tend not to be a victim since I'm too busy thinking or pulling them off. Compared to those on here, mine are risible at best. I have to give credit to a colleague this year, though. We're having two rooms rennovted in work. This has included new sinks. The work isn't yet done and the taps arn't fitted yet. One colleague told another that the sinks were new and ideal for hospital where people may not be able to operate taps - they're voice activated. I'll leave to your imagination what happened next! :-D

But what of droids that are also vehicles? Interestingly, as has been mentioned, the definitions on here obviously clash with TLC's definition since (for example) the Mouse Droid, GONK droid etc are all classed as minifigs.
-
Interesting question. No, I wouldn't. Nor the Kaadu, the Dewback or the Veractyl Do monkeys, sharks, parrots, bats and dogs count? I don't know.
-
The new Hailfire and the Vulture Droid are minifig scale. They're much bigger, but they're to scale.
-
I see your logic, Sinner, but disagree. B'Omarr monks are living, sentient creatures. Like Humans. In my oppinion, they ARE minifigs. Though GONK droid is certain arguable, though not by other definitions in this thread |-/

I'm posting this in the General area since I think the question could pertain to multiple themes, though please excuse my reference to Star Wars, since that's my area of "expertise" so to speak. What constitutes a minifig? How do you define what is or isn't a minifig? For example, Mr Diver Man is a minifig; he has a typical LEGO body with arms, legs, a head and even a smart SCUBA system. We generally acknowledge that Battle Droids are minifigs; they have (droid) bodies, (droid) legs, (droid) arms and a (droid) head. I think we also generally acknowledge that R2-D2 is a minifig even though he doesn't fit the general description. Ditto GONK droid and the Buzz Droid. What of the B'Omarr Monk? What of the Dwarf Spider Droids? The Mouse Droid? If they're minfigs on the basis of being minifig-sized (like R2-D2) then what of the new Hailfire Droid or the Vulture Droid? Are they minifigs? I was just thinking this today. Anyone have any ideas?

Can anyone please help? I have .3GP videos that were recorded on my mobile 'phone that I need to convert to .AVI or .MPG for sharing with others. Can anyone please recommend any freeware to do this?

Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. Fantastic. And Destro. We need Stalker - he was one of the best of the comics.

If you had the possibility to choose a new City minifig character
captaintau replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
Or better yet a Tuba *sweet* Actually, having several instruments would be great. A small band, maybe. Isn't there one at Windsor? -
The LEGO Company This is a fair question. Would we rather have lots of minifigs (the MTT) or less but also less common minifgs (Jedi Starfighter/Hyperdrive)? I think it's a balance. Some of each is fine. Lots of unique figures just devalues it. Just look at the popularity and discussion on the HRB in light of K-3PO

Not enough sets with buildings (bases)
captaintau replied to Nikola Bathory's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I completely agree that we have way too few "bases" in Star Wars. I mean, really, what do we have? - HRB. Very basic - Jabba's Palace. One of the worst sets ever - Rebel Control (with the original B-Wing). Again, very basic - Cloud City. Ah, now we're talking. Though it's appeal does seem to diminish quickly -
This seems to be a common problem. I've had to replace two of the SBDs from my Droids Battle Pack. Not good. I would add that at the moment, *yoda* 's the man to talk to about broken legs X-D

a) A Nurse b) A Martial Artist c) A Martial Arts Nurse X-D -
I have to wonder about the appropriateness of someone named "sinner" posting in thread about relgious discussion :-D
-
There are many people out there that feel stronger about subjects other than religion.
-
But then where do you stop? We ban discussions on religion and politics. Then someone takes offence in a conversation about (say) music. So we ban discussions on music. Then discussions on sports teams. etc. It shouldn't be the subject matter, but the content that is banned.
-
We still need more LEGO Nurses. I'm just worried about the colour of the substance that I guess is meant to be an intra-venous infusion *wacko*

I never actually got any sets, but I would imagine the LEGO Light-and-Sound sets would enable you to do this. I welcome anyone correcting me here since I have no idea what was in those sets.
