  1. I was very indecided on this until... as of Wednesday this week, my favourite minifigure is the SHOCK TROOPER!
  2. Great idea. I'm game
  3. Happy Birthday, Ras
  4. Further to my earlier answer, lets not forget the purpose of studs. A SNOT model may look sleek, but your options for additions and minifig locating become lessened. For example, space builders may like to have their astronaut "upside down" (not there is such a thing in space). For this, we needs studs. Maybe there's a happy medium (a satisfied psychic :-D ) between studs and stud-less.
  5. What 4J said. There's no "better", just what the designer or building or MOCer feel is right.
  6. I used to post on FBTB and EB was linked to a few times (usually in derision). When I got thoroughly p***ed off with FBTB, I moved here. Never looked back.
  7. As an aside - there's been concerns about LEGO's financial situation. I really hope this is all marketted well to recapture interest in LEGO. I'm assuming that's the whole point.
  8. Did I read a few posts ago that there are NO new parts in the set? Great! That means its entirely BrickLink-able. Apart from (some) of the Minfigs
  9. I see missile-firing thingy of the Naboo/Droid Fighter set.
  10. It seems that they've done the same with the Infiltrator as they did with new A-Wing and B-wing - same as, but with CURVES Before we dismiss it, we should know more. The original was horrible because of having to put Darth Maul on the Bloodfin and then load the Bloodfin into the rear. I would guess this new version has a missile or bombs, because thats what seems to the way for LEGO SW these days. I wonder what else.
  11. I just got my MF out for a swoosh. I measure it about 16" long, so the UCS one is about twice the size, give or take. Swooshing is difficult, though not impossible. I'd love this new one but space prohibits.
  12. That's cool. What he's done with the AT-ST pilot is smart, too. What amuses me is the legs/android on the left of the pic. Not from the AT-ST and I'm pretty sure the 1x1 slopes weren't around in the days of classic space. Now, what we need is the TIE Bomber to fly over and drop a payload on the Classic Space vehicle.
  13. Welcome to EB, Hendrik. Can I please ask how you come to know about the new Sith Infiltrator?
  14. 7191 UCS X-wing
  15. No I don't mean what the title is , I mean getting a positive one at all. Anyway, its hardly a "hobby", more a way of life.
  16. Got it deep here (Worcestershire). Had to walk to work as its too much hassle getting the car out.
  17. Don't hold back on your oppinions there, Vader. Be honest now! ;-)
  18. Whoever gave me current title (Martial Knight), thanks! *y* Don't know what I did to deserve it, but its cool.
  19. A million of Leia? I think not. We've had this discussion before about the lack of female minifigs. I don't know why it is. I agree that there should be several more Ms Naberries. OK she did sod all in ep3, but she was really prominent in the first two films. At the very least we should have a version in full Queen Amidala attire so as there's a contrast. Having a "Naberrie" version and an "Amidala" version opens up more playability too.
  20. IIRC correctly, on the B-Wing, weapons are meant to be modular. It woudl have been really good if alternative weapons could have come with the LEGO B-Wing, given that they are modular anyway.
  21. Been a way for a few days so it looks like I've missed out on some great news. I want a TIE Crawler. That looks excellent. Just to recap (and to ensure I've got it right). the upcoming sets are: 7660 Naboo Fighter / Vulture Droid 7661 Jedi Starfighter (the Eta-2 Actis, not the Aethersprite) with Hyperdrive Ring 7662 MTT 7664 TIE Crawler Is there a 7663?
  22. Happy Birthday, Kim
  23. Thanks for that, Yoda. Good to look back. I didn't take many photo's at the time. Was it really only last summer?
  24. That's really useful. I'll probably revisit this another time when I feel the need, so please keep it prominent.
  25. I agree that the Cantina set is given very poor press. OK, the Cantina itself was more a Cantina-corner than an actual Cantina, but look what you get in the set: - Unique Luke - Unique Obi - GREEDO! - Sandtrooper - Dewback - Updated Landspeeder I think its a great set. The Cantina does have a small degree of playability. And it was relatively cheap for everything we got. When you happen to pass wind in the same room, more like.
