The start (as I recall) was simply "Sofaaaaaah, Hayundaaaaaaaii, Administrashuuuunn" Yep, great song. Other best bit of Comic Relief was Tony Blair doing "Am I Bovverud"? :-D

As an ardent Star Wars fan, I don't normally look to Town/City but recnet talk of this set made me curious. What can I type? Absolutely brilliant review - thanks! *y* And a fantastic set. If I had the money and space, even I would get it!

Why are so many of you typing in the third person? 8-|

The one thing that annoyed me on the original SI was having to seat DM on the Bloodfin and then load the Bloodfin in to the back of the SI. I really hope that's been corrected this time with DM seated in the cockpit and the Bloodfin stored seperately.

What other SW "Battle Packs" would you like to see?
captaintau replied to BearHeart's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is a good question. Someone suggested a Mandalorian Battle Pack on another thread - that would be excellent, though I can't see it happening. Jedi on Geonosis Battle Back Naboo Royal Security Force Battle Pack (lead by Queen Amidala as in the end part of Ep 1) Imperial Hoth Battle Pack Imperial Endor Battle Pack Rebel Hoth Battle Pack Rebel Endor Battle Pack -
I know what you all mean. I'm a moderator on two other forums (martialartsvillage.org.uk and martialartscafe.co.uk) and its not always an easy job. Quite often its thankless and difficult. But we do it because we love our forum.

Excellent job there. I shall go and pay right now.

Which version have you read? The latest was A Trilogy in Five Parts which started off great and ended OK, but went very boring around about part 4. If you read 1984, then can I also recommend three other major sci-fi works that started my sci-fi addiction some years ago. The four books are arguably the greatest sci-fi works written. They are certainly apocryphal. - Brave New World by Aldous Huxley - Neuromancer by William Gibson - 2001: A Space Odysey by Arthur C. Clark I love the first three books of Michael Cordy. Miracle Strain, Crime Zero and Lucifer. They've been released under different names now but you can look him up on Amazon. Miracle Strain has been bought for making as a film and is the only book to make me cry. I feel I have to plug my cousin: Dean Vincent Carter writes horror. He released his first book, The Hand of the Devil last year and his second book, Hunting Season is due for release this month or next. He's tipped as the next Stephen King.

Sounds serious, this "LCD"? May I suggest that we all poll our respective nation's Health Services to screen the population for it?

As much I'd like to agree with you, Sci-Fi and space adventures were around long before SW. Just consider HG Wells, Isaac Asimov, Philip K Dick, Arthur C Clark among many others.

Want a new Falcon for $10 - TICKETS SOLD OUT!

If its a vote you're looking for, well I vote in favour of the draw being held at the EB event. Although it seems unlikely I'll be there, I agree that its the best place and way. Get the most possible EB members there and add another element to the weekend. -
Poodoo!

NO! Doing it that way, the person selecting the "random" number will still go within the middle two quarters, almost all the time. Ergo, whoever has the numbers 1-10 or (say) 40-50 has almost zero chance. Those occupying those places on the list could be put there at the deliberate choice of the creator of the list. I'm not disputing the scruples of EB members, just pointing out the falacy of such a system. Even compuerised random number generators will work in this way. As far as I can think, the only fair way is the old "hat" draw. Maybe we should write to or e-mail the park manager in advance to increase the chances of getting his help? -

Hmmm, arm up around head (holding 'phone) = massively reduced field of vision = easy target. Ladies that do that need to come to my classes :-D

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
captaintau replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I was being silly when I suggested that Stormtroopers could be female. Post ROTS, as the clones died as a consequence of their rapid aging technology and Palpatine's destriction of the their Spaarti Cylinders, they were replaced by humans. Note always human due to Palpy's xenophobia. There is only one recorded non-human stormie, who appeared in an e-book and then subsequently a novel. In ANH, Leia comments to Luke (in Stormie disguise) "arn't you a little short to be a shormtrooper" so I suspect that its a reasonable assumption that Stormie's met certain physical criteria (as has been traditional in many armed forces and police) such as height, gender etc. But then, you never know :-D -

Oh no, I reached Yellow Sash at Kung Fu (Lau Gar). Hardly a Master. My Mastership is in Jujitsu (seriously, I was promoted to Master in November) Thanks everyone for a good wishes. Mrs Tau bought me LEGO SW 2 for the PS2 and has promised me a LEGO model of my choice (within reason ;-) ) from Milton Keynes. -
No, "sprue", not "spruce". A spruce is a tree. A tree capable of inflicting damage is a Spruce Lee!

IIRC, EV-9D9 has female-personality programming and Hutts change gender periodically so Jabba was female once. Also, who's to say all Stormtroopers are male? -
Is Arkham Asylum no longer available?
captaintau replied to captaintau's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Thanks for that. As it stands, I can't afford it. I've put it on my eBay watch list. I get paid next Tuesday so I just hope that there's one left then. -
In brief: Two Black Belts. Coloured belts in eight other Martial Arts. Grade 1 Tuba. Not very good in Martial Arts competitions generally, but I've won a couple for Kata, rather than fighting. Two years running best male student at Karate. Nothing academic (too busy doing Martial Arts to excel in education, though I have a degree (somehow!))

I'll have three tickets, please. I wouldn't like the money, though. That takes the fun out of the purpose of the raffle. The winner could just take the money. Detracts from the theme of EB. I say it'd be better to get 60 members involved or charge $12 a ticket and accept that there'll be two shipping charges (one to the raffle-runner, one to the winner). If its a raffle for the USC MF, I'm in for three tickets. If its a raffle for the monetary value of the UCS MF, I'm not interested - I could put the money into the lottery!
