I fully support this idea! That's a great idea. Not drawing a face the same way twice is a big problem for me too... which is why I find it helpful to look at real people when drawing figures. Thanks! I'd love to see how you envision her! Do you have an actress/public figure in mind that she looks luke to you? The more research I do on Potential character models, the less I like my drawing of Dr. Long, so I'll redo that at some point. It started as a doodle, anyways. We'd all love to have you, regardless of which faction you choose! Most of the images are down right now, due to the forum's update, but that should be fixed soon. Right now, the factions are all doing not-too-poorly on the players scale, but the number of active builders per faction is like this: Kawashita has the least active players at the moment, followed by Octan, and the MANTIS has the most. Well hello there! Everything is so new! Very exciting!... and just a teensy bit intimidating... Thank you immensely for all your hard work, all you magnificent folks who run this wonderful website on which I spend far too much of my time. As Flipz said, having an option for those of us who like to write out the BB code would be pleasant, but not needed persay. It's just a little odd to me that when I type out :tongue: it automatically pops out as this: Also, for a moment there, I thought my ability to stalk people by hovering the mouse over their account and seeing what topic they were looking at currently had stopped working, but It actually appears to depend on the user... or maybe I'm misinterpreting the new format... Does it no longer inform an individual that a user is "Offline"? That could be what I'm seeing. Another thing that I've noticed is that in Replying and Topic Starting, there's no longer the option to view your post before sending it... which is kind of important to me for spotting my innumerable typos. Why hello there, Fellow AG players, and random strangers who will likely view this topic at some point. I've had some freetime (sans-Lego) and did a few sketches of Dr. Long. Bob (or other moderator), I'm not sure this belongs in this subforum, since It's not a Lego creation. It's audience is here, but it may be better placed somewhere else? Not sure. I'll let you be the judge. Anyways, here's a few drawings I made of Dr. Long. May make more if I have more freetime/the impetus strikes me. I decided on a silhouette format, since I'm not an amazing artist by any stretch of imagination, and up until recently hadn't really connected Dr. Long's face to an actual person's making it difficult to draw. Not the most flattering image, due to my lack of talent, and lack of a model that looks like her. As Goatman pointed out on Flickr, she does look older than I envision her. As I was wrapping my head around the entry I was thinking, how the heck am I going to get Dr. Long to do sports. I figured I'd run with a loosish canonicity, and just go full on comedic. This is probably my favorite entry to the field and track section. Very well conceived and executed, funny, and there's also the wow factor that you broke out the power functions for this one! Great work here, Luc'! As usual, you are dominating this competition! Damn. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
