Heroica RPG - Quest #48: Death's Homecoming
Dannylonglegs replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Indeed!" agreed Sylph. "Alright, plan this round is much the same as the last, but this time I won't be occupied healing! Alex, you're best first, everyone else, target the blade until it's destroyed! Once it's destroyed, we can focus our attention on Rhodus himself! Hopefully it'll be destroyed before Elgar and I take our turns (preferably by Johon), but if not, he and I will finish it." Order A: Punii: Make jellies Alex: Rhodus B, Front Row Galen: Blade B, Front Row Lycan: Blade B, Front Row Johon: Blade B, Front Row *If Blade B is destroyed by this point in the order, switch to Order B. (This matters in case I roll a 6; I want to be as far down on the order as possible) Also, Assume that if the Blade B is destroyed, attacks targeting Blade B will instead target Rhodus B.) Sylph: Blade B, Back Row Elgar: Blade B, Back Row Sylph: Blade B, Back Row Order B: Punii: Make jellies Alex: Rhodus B, Front Row Galen: Blade B, Front Row Lycan: Blade B, Front Row Johon: Blade B, Front Row Elgar: Rhodus B, Back Row Sylph: Rhodus B, Back Row Sylph: Rhodus B, Back Row -

So, you're saying 900 gold? And they said you couldn't put a price on happiness! ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Well, I want it! It works with Sylph's battle strategies that rely on control of enemies. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Unless I come into possession of a super-cool toy (or allot of dough) in Endgame's quest, it's rather unlikely that I could out-bid others who desire it (such as yourself I presume) who have more things than I. It's worth a shot though! It's better than relying on scrolls that for some reason don't work on some enemies. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

It makes me want to be a minstrel because I know there's no way I'd get my hands on the wand, but that'd be super not-in-character. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

That wishing wand.... That wishing wand. :wub_drool: ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Oh, Endgame, I added the rows from which we all perform our actions to the battle order for your ease. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

"You have good eyes." Stated Sylph, impressed, "Rhodus A it is!" "Johon, good work with that shot! He's finally decaying! Elgar, great work on that critical hit! Let's focus on the blade! I sense that Rhodus only has enough ether for one more Sword after this one; once he regenerates another it'll be his last. Alex, you'll go last in order because, hopefully by then the sword'll be gone and you'll be healed. (and with the sword gone, you gain the full benefit of all your SP)" Sylph healed Elgar and Alex. Order: Punii: Mix unlike jellies Galen: Blade A, Front Row Johon: Blade A, Front Row Lycan: Blade A, Front Row Sylph: Heal Elgar, Back Row Elgar: Blade A, Back Row Sylph: Heal Alex, Back Row Alex: Rhodus A, Front Row (OoC: What does crumbling mean?) -

Ha, I was just joking, I knew it was in-character. Interesting thought process behind it too. Yes, if I can't blind him, I can sure as hell annoy you! ~Insectoid Aristocrat

(Assuming the small problems I noted in the discussion thread are amended) "Good work team, now is our best chance to defeat him! Everyone attack now! It's C this time!" Order (if no one objects): Punii: Make Jellies Sylph: Heal Johon *If attempt is successful, go to A. If not, go to D. A. Elgar: C Johon: C Alex: C *If Rhodus has regenerated his sword by the end of Alex's attack, go to B. If not, go to C B. Galen: Sword C Lycan: Sword C Sylph: Sword C C. Galen: C Lycan: C Sylph: C D. Sylph: Heal Johon Elgar: C Johon: C Alex: C *If Rhodus has regenerated his sword by the end of Alex's attack, go to E. If not, go to F. E. Galen: Sword C Lycan: Sword C F. Galen: C Lycan: C -
No, I kind of agree with you. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Lol, that's alright! I'm totally fine with his weapon gone . I guess the post you made earlier wasn't in-character then? Oh, and I should probably warn you: I'm making another colour-coded battle order. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Endgame, I thought Alex's Holy Guardian protected us from his attacks (damage and negative effects). From last round: ">Alex VS Rhodus B (front): Shield: Guardian Angel!" Oh, and they're all "Rhodus A" ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Don't worry, I've been quite busy too, and this is a more complicated battle than the arena... (because he can actually touch us. ) ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Dannylonglegs replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Well we can't do any substantial damage to Rhodus until his Sword's gone. His defense is through the roof. Johon and I are attacking him to get him to decay and Alex is attacking him because his ability to puncture and high SP would be wasted on a puncturing, low-SP object. Everyone else should focus on removing his source of defense/battle-mate." -

"This round it's mostly a suggestion." stated Sylph about his battle plan. "He can't harm us and you've already poisoned him, it's just the order that matters." (OoC: Sorry, I forgot to change your action in the order/battle-plan. Attacking the blade may in-fact be more efficient. Thanks for catching that for me. Oh the problems of Copy-Paste. ) Order (if no one objects): Punii: Make jellies Galen: Blade D Elgar: Blade D Lycan: Blade D Sylph: Heal Johon Johon: Death D Sylph: Death D Alex: Death D -
