  1. I thought that was an intentional warning about STDs. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  2. Needless to say, this day has been frustratingly fruitless. That said, it can be salvaged if we manage to get a Lynch in. At this point it's a bit too late to advocate the Lynch of one of those I'm genuinely suspicious of, such as Alicia, or Ronald. I think I'll vote for Alfredo. Not because I'm convinced he's scum, but because There's more to learn if we lynch him then if we don't. Sorry Alfredo. If you're scum, then I'm more inclined to believe that Paris, Juliet, Tybalt, and Carlisa are more likely Townies, since they played an important part in her Lynch. If She's a Townie, then there's likely a Scum in that list. I've been going through the posts today and looking at who's critical of whom and to what degree to see if I can discern who's not on a team with whom, due to the fact that I don't believe there's any reason for a scum to advocate another scum's lynch on day one. I'll Vote: Brittney Alfredo (Piratedave84) So that we can Lynch her and get an anchor in this hunt. I also suggest that anyone not voting Alfredo right now who's online change to Alfredo so that we get this crucial anchor and not have a lynchless day one.
  3. Yes, I did. Damn. It's hard to sound pretentious. Aside from that, was the rant convincingly pretentious? Yay! Quest #69! ~Insectoid Aristocrat

The rolling hills were mostly sun-baked and covered with tan uncut grass and small bushes and trees. There were many sheep herders on the plains, but few productive farms in comparison to the High Kingdoms. After walking until the sun was in the west, they saw the cart they'd been following. It was stopped at the top of the next hill. The party members wondered why the cart had stopped, and how they'd caught up with it. When the ascended the hill, they found out why. "I said, stand and deliver." called a brutish man, dressed well in a jacket and and vest. His two goons stood threateningly, each brandishing a weapon. Driving the cart, stood a grey haired young man with his hands non-threateningly in the air. He wore a trader's jacket. beside him, on the road stood a hooded woman, and on the other side of the cart, crouching between the right wheels and the bottom of the cart cowered a darkly dressed man in a Shadeaux cloak. It appeared that the highway men hadn't yet seen the Shadeaux. nor had they seen the party, as the party was still a while away. What would the party do?

  8. The Lord looked around, flat faced. "eh... Sure. If you want to rest for a few minutes, that would be fine." the lord stated. He led them to another, smaller room with a sealed barrel in it. It might have been a large closet. The lord grabbed a few crystal cups from a shelf, leaving it bare but for the sealed barrel. "Those of you who want to rest for a few minutes can do so here. I can't spare a room for you, since they're all... occupied." The lord looked uneasy about letting the heroes stay in his rooms. "Thank you for your help. My maids will see you out when you're ready." He walked over to one of the maids that was attending him, and whispered in her ear. Then he walked off. Does anyone else want to rest?
  9. Has it changed or has it always said next two after it? Either way you're right. Derp. Thanks! "Change of plans." Battle Order: > Pretzel: Seal Gonzo > Pretzel: Heal Nessa >Nessa v. Feladorin >Nessa v. Difur > Sylph-Heal Dreyrugr > Sylph-Heal Dreyrugr (or, if unparalyzed, Sleep Big Red) > Dreyrugr: Gonzo > Erik v. Little Red (if Revived)
  10. Sylph glared for a second. "that was my fault. I should have closed the round." it was true that the fault rested on himself for not casting sleep after Nessa attacked Feladorin, but if he had done so, Nessa could have been KO'ed as well... wasting a hastening among other things. "Dreyrugr. We'll revive Dreyrugr. The sooner he robs the slug the better. Not to mention Erik's Shield is more destructive than Nessa's, and keeping Big Red comatose is crucial to our eventual success. Yes, magic hasn't brought us there yet, but without it we'd be lying dead in the gutter... Or, well, some of us anyways." Battle Order: > Pretzel: Seal Gonzo > Pretzel: Bondy (with Flail) >Nessa: Revive Dreyrugr > Dreyrugr v. Gonzo >Nessa v. Difur > Sylph-Sleep Big Red > Sylph-Sleep Big Red (or Heal Self.) > Erik v. 11. The lord stifled a grimace when Arnulf mentioned mixing soda and wine. "Nothing more. You've done me a great service I won't soon forget." Stated the Lord. "And it's always a pleasure to educate an individual on the subject of wine. I feel that everyone should have at least a rudimentary knowledge on the subject. Even barbarians or peasants. But true knowledge results from years of tasting wine. A true connoisseur starts from birth, but not everyone has that luxury."
  12. "I see. I'll remember this 'Heroica' if I ever run into trouble again." Stated the Lord, pleased. "Come with me to my Inn for a second, and I'll give you each a fine bottle of wine from my cellar." OoC: Sorry, I forgot to remove the Fragile effect. No need to expend a remedy. "Clearly you have little experience with fine wines." He groaned as he led them to his inn. "You must have a clean palette before drinking, so as to capture the wine's subtleties. I'm famous for my white wines..." He began as they neared the large estate. The building was quite marvelous, with rustic stone walls, covered in grape vines. he opened the wooden door, leading the party inside. "Now, too many people these days value red wines over whites. See, they think that just because your average red has a higher alcohol content, means it's a better wine. But that's just false..." Within, they found a spacious room with a few wine barrels in a pile. Several maids shuffled around, doing various chores. "They think that red's are better because they're more powerful. White Wines are more subtle, and in their subtlety there is strength." He led them into another room, the bar of his inn, where an entire wall was devoted to storing wine bottles. He scanned them for three he liked. "They're not all sweet, either... Here. These three." he stated at last, slowly pulling three wine bottles out from the wall. "Take these three fine wines as a token of my gratitude." He stated, with a proud smile. "do attempt to enjoy them. They're not for getting drunk from." 13. I agree with you that Melanie's idea sounds not-scum, but I disagree that her statement was a subtle defense. IMO, it's very rare for scum to openly communicate with their teammates, either in defense or offence on day one. I'm not as sure myself of your own Townyhood for bringing it up the way you did. This strikes me as a soft agreement with the Town consensus, setting yourself up for joining the bandwagon. Again, I disagree that a scum would do something like that. A scum's best chance to avoid suspicion on day one (and other days) is to avoid drawing ties between eachother, and communicating only to Townies.

  15. I'm not the hugest fan of the idea either, which is why when I get that far, I'm going to straight-up drop Sylph as my character and start again at level 1. Sylph already knew of Heroica and had plans and whatnot in a similar manner to what Sandy imagines secondary characters aught to, so I want my next character to be an unknown trying to make his way in the world. Also, Sylph doesn't have any past friend, literally no relatives, or anything but enemies.... And nobody knows who Sylph is, so anyone who would know Sylph wouldn't know Sylph. It was my plan to drop Sylph anyways though, so it's not a rebellion against the rules or anything. I've got my #2 planned out too, and he'll be basically the opposite of Sylph in many ways. Unlike Sylph, he'll be open, uncertain, and he won't have a stick up his rear. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Feladorin >Nessa v. Difur > Erik v. Little Red (if Revived) (Note: Tripleshot should not target Big Red.)
  22. OoC: Yeah, the battle was rigged, and I'm still sorry. "Well, there's enough slug there that I won't hit your armour in a way that would permanently damage it." Stated Sylph.
  23. Don't worry. Ours makes up for it. We abandoned ship once already. ... But under Sylph's leadership we shall burn these wolves to the ground underneath our awesome power! None can oppose Sylph and hope to survive! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  24. Sweet! Roll with the plan then! Battle Order: > Pretzel: Disenchant > Dreyrugr: Smelling Salts on Sylph > Pretzel: Grand Tonic > Sylph-Bondy > Sylph-Gonzo >Nessa: Smelling Salts >Nessa v. Difur > Erik v. Little Red (if Revived)
