  1. Sylph drank the mead. (BR)
  2. OoC: I just wanted to give you a chance to buy items you need from the market. I recall one or more of you wanted to buy items earlier. The Party decided to watch the Festival. They walked out onto the bustling streets of Orsedd, spying a myriad of interesting stalls and sources of entertainment. The town was busy, and the atmosphere was gay. The Party found ways to entertain themselves throughout the day, watching jugglers and participating in a free wine-sampling paid for by Lord Montressor. eventually the time passed, and the parade drew nearer. Would the Party get some last minute shopping in before they left after the parade?
  3. "I know the truth in this more than most." Stated Sylph dolefully.
  4. "A Druid respects nature, and nature shows its gratitude. You might consider it. It is a tough road, and for you, it would likely entail sacrifice, but to hear nature's untainted song... that is worth the price." Stated Sylph, in a rare moment of paternal/maternal tone. He fired his bow at the assassin again.
  5. The Party decided to sleep. They each entered their own rooms and went to bed. Following a restful night, the crew each woke up at the crack of dawn to knocks on their door from Dice. "Wakey wakey." stated Dice. "Alright, the festival's started. Do you want to watch it through, or do you want to do other chores while it progresses? We'll leave town after the Parade around midday."
  6. "Do what you can to get to him. I'll keep chipping away at him." Sylph stated as he loaded another arrow into his bow, firing it at the assassin from the back row of the action. His dismal cloak billowed behind him in the nonexistent wind.
  7. "Sure!" Stated Dice. "Wow, you lot are quite helpful. I made a great deal when I hired you. Here, take this crate and walk it over to my cart over there. These'll be rations for our trip." He stated, directing the party to his cart. "Alright Pat. I'll see you tomorrow morning before we leave." Stated Dice in farewell. Yoro curtsied a slight farewell. He and Yoro followed the party to his crate and he tied it down. "Alright guys, we'll be meeting the Shepherd tomorrow as we leave the city. She'll accompany us on our journey. Her safety and the safety of her sheep are paramount to the success of our endeavor." Dice stated silently when they were alone. Yoro looked around to see if anyone was nearby. "We'll leave after we catch the parade. You should have time to buy whatever you please... But first. Let's sleep!" Stated Dice, a grin on his face. He lead the party back to the Inn, where they found the same lodgers as before still talking. Dice spoke with the barkeeper and walked the Party to their rooms. Would the Party Members go to sleep?
  8. Sylph fired his bow again.
  9. The Party members, slowly decide to react by entering the tent without their weapons bared. They coalesced around the green striped merchant's tent. The Party saw the cause of the noise. A crate of flat sourbread had been dropped. It seemed that Mr. Lawrence and his trading associate weren't strong enough to carry it well. Dice chuckled and scratched the back of his head. "Well... We can still eat these." Dice stated to his associate. "Uh sure." The goateed man shrugged. "You already payed for them anyways." he chuckled. "Don't remind me Pat. How are these sourbreads so expensive?" "It's Festival tomorrow. Orsedd'll be entertaining nobles from around the nation. That tends to jack the prices up." Pat smiled weakly. Dice slapped Pat on the back. "I know, I know. I'm just giving you a hassle." Yoro reached down and picked up a bread. She stuffed almost half of it in her mouth and began chewing vigorously. "Mmmm! Oh yes, we can certainly eat these, Dice Lawrence!" She exclaimed. What would the Party do?
  10. So the above hypothetical action would result in Sylph getting to a position where he could engage the Blue Assassin? Sylph Fired his bow at the Assassin.
  11. OoC: How do we "Engage?" do you mean like 'Sylph grabs what appears to be a fallen plank and uses it to climb up to the ledge.' ?
  12. Sylph drank a tonic. "This is going to be a long fight, I reckon." he grumbled.
  13. "Well, enjoy the festivities!" With the Party finished talking, they left the inn and waited for Dice to come back. Just then, they heard a banging noise from the tent that Dice had stepped into. What would the party do?
  14. Sylph healed Nessa instead.
  15. Sylph wordlessly healed Pretzel.
  16. "Ah, you're here to see the First Harvest Festival, I take it? See the Lords and all their pomp, and the Queen pulling their leashes? Come to see the Barmaids out-drink the farm boys and shepherds? Ah, Festival's a great time of year." mused 'Ben.' His friend was a little more serious. "Yes. Do not enter the forest. This road becomes a very dangerous path through the woods. No one goes there anymore except those who wish to hide. Take the Westway road if you're headed North." He stated, before taking a sip of his Ale. He turned to his friend. "Nothing good comes from the north. I don't see why the Blackguard doesn't deal with the wolves themselves. Perhaps Cecil's over-proud of his army." The thought appealed to the soldier, and he chuckled. The other table had fallen quiet, with the two murmuring prayers.
  17. Sorry everyone for my patchy participation as of late. I'm pleased to announce that my summer class has ended and I should be able to really speed things up in 76. Thanks for all your patience. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  18. "It's about damned time." Stated Sylph. "Monk, you know the drill. good work putting us in an order that doesn't result in any terrible mistakes. I'd have done it myself, but with only one enemy, I think I'd be wasting time that could be better spent. Also, consider using your shackle of war." Stated Sylph as he Sealed Nessa.
  19. Is not a pyromaniac. He swears.

  20. Arnulf, who suddenly felt the weight of another chaotic bomb magically fill his pocket, made his way over to who he suspected were mercenaries. "Uh, yeah, sure." chuckled the un-armoured one. "What's the name, son? I'm Private Krimlock of the Queen's personal guard, and this here's my friend Ben." _______ "...'and for those who succumb to pride or hubris, eternal damnation awaits in the deepest pit of hell. Those who feel they know better than Ennoc, who seek out other gods to pray loyalty to--those who betray our lord--must burn in the flames of their own folly.'..." 21. Sylph heals himself and buys one tonic. "It can't hurt to have one more."
  22. William stuck his shovel in the street of the Town, looking for who-knows-what. In the darkness of the evening, William could only find dirt, and a sharp stick of wood. He picked it up on a whim. Maybe he could stab someone with it? William found: (Shard of Wood: WP:1 Dagger) While he dug, he saw Dice and his companion walk down the road to a merchant's tent, and discuss business with the man he seemed to be friends with. They chatted, and Dice gestured to his wares repeatedly. He then stated something with his hand covering his mouth, and the two walked into the tent. You could have a flask of that for 15 gold." "Well, I don't see the problem of added security." "There's nothing added about it! They're completely replacing us!" "I understand you. Isn't your leader real friendly with the Queen though? Why isn't she taking this up with her?" _________ *pause* "Hmmm." "Do you recall last weeks sermon?" "Aye. 'Just as the wolf hunts the weak in the dark forest, so to do lies and betrayals hunt the believers in the forest of doubt.'..." "True words. True words."
  23. The two Heroes entered the Inn. Within the small bar were two full barrel-tables. There was a bar tender too. The people at the tables were talking. "I'm telling you, Cecil's got no place parading in this festival. Protection my right ear! The Queen's Guard is for that." "So the Queen's Guard isn't OK with the Blackguard standing at the Queen's side? They did it last year, I think." "Well, we've got an interesting relationship, but I certainly wish the Queen gave more responsibility to her own Guards. We've stood by the reagent's side for generations. It's Tradition!" ____________________ "If the High Priest was given more power there wouldn't even be a Witch problem in the Grauwood forest. Those heathens who worship their devils would get what they deserve." "hmm. Yes. I would trust the High Priest to deal with the Grauwood forest. It is a crime to worship a deity other than Ennoc." _________________ The Bartender stood behind his shelf, grimacing. It was late in the evening. What would the Heroes do?
  24. Sylph chuckled again. "I did not mean to insinuate that you were a male. This language merely lacks a gender neutral word for what I meant to express."
  25. Actually. Their names are sorta based off the same character, but that was waaaaaaay back in the planning stages of Insider Trading. I don't know how that happened, but good catch! It's hysterical that both they're characters who've had a relationship with Fleur. Sorry for the wait on that update guys. It was half me not having the photos ready, and half me waiting for FDY to confirm. ~Insectoid Arisotcrat
