You should consider going into FUN therapy before it's too late. Recent studies have shown that over-seriousness drastically shortens one's lifespan.

Carry on with the tradition Doc, as I have not much to share this year unlike last year.

Custom bricked Darth Vader minifigure
XimenaPaulina replied to Legostein's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
As always you've shown your knack for very clever parts usage and the end product highly resembles the shape of Vader's helmet. A job well done as usual Chris! Oh, and better late than never: -
Ah yes, the annual costume Halloween thread, I've merged this with the existing topic. This year, I went to an online forum party disguised as a 2x4 lime brick.

You sure have your way of fashionably beating the deadline of the community build just in the nick of time eh? As always the design is very spot-on with the reference material, spiced up with your signature SNOT finishing. Just out of curiosity, how long did it take you to design this? Oh, and:

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
XimenaPaulina replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I share the same sentiments. I thought they just took it as another chance to introduce a lame new modification on the LAAT/i, but I still prefer the original more badass AOTC version with the bubble turrets on the side. And what ever happened to stealth covert surprise attack? Didn't those giant lights simply gave away the clones' position and hence they would be an easy target for the rebel Umbarans? Infrared is indeed the way to go with dark operations, what puzzles me is there have been episodes in the past (Geonosis arc in Season 2) where the clones have some infrared vision capability on their helmets. If they had those before in small helmets, then why not install such technology on the gunships? Just a minor nitpick, but it doesn't take away much to the entertainment value of the episode. -

Preview of the Part 2 of the Umbara arc. Notice how Krell called Rex by his name this time. The tough general softening already eh? -
Thanks for stepping in Ru, I've moved all wishlist posts to the proper thread.

How do you feel about fanon creations?
XimenaPaulina replied to Fallenangel's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Out of respect to SI-moc's MOC topic, I'll move this question in this proper thread. So you want to know the guidelines? To finally put the nails on the coffin, I'll answer and hope that I would not hear anymore ramblings on your part about these rules/guidelines which you are inexplicably obsessed about. Seriously, your overly-serious take on all things Star Wars are deflating the fun that is an essential part of MOCing, so as early as now I advice you to drop it. To answer your question, there are no written rules or guidelines (and this goes for all the subforums, not just here in SW), the staff exercise their own discretion and judgement on what makes a specific MOC worthy to be posted in a certain subforum. In my own opinion, SI-moc's MOC is made for a Star Wars contest and thus can be posted here. There you go, Answer #1. Number two, if a MOC has a Star Wars backstory, then I consider it a SW MOC, regardless of how it looks like, whether it's Star Treky, Spongebob-y, theme-crossovers, etc. Again, these are my own criteria and other staff may have their own as well. But generally, we have similar judgment and we respect each other's take on these issues. And as a member here, I hope you do the same and respect our judgement. If you find our way of 'classifying' MOCs not fitting to your own personal taste, then you could always choose to ignore these MOCs, and move on and comment to those strictly-canon SW MOCs that you seem to only appreciate. -
Prison Riot! Confirmation and Discussion Thread
XimenaPaulina replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Oh and before I forget, I gotta give props to the Star Warsy titles of the Days: Day 1 - Phantom Menace Day 2 - Clone of the Attack Day 3 - Revenge of the Shiv Day 4 - The Warden Strikes Back Day 5 - A New Hope Day 6 - Return of the Endgame Even with the minor switch of titles for Days 4 & 5, all have been perfect descriptions of what has happened in the game. Now you just have to invent a new title for Day 7! On behalf the SW community, we'd like to give you this medal Hinck: -

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
XimenaPaulina replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Yes a good episode finally, a great one action-wise and reminds me a lot of Landing at Point Rain but Version 2.0 on a different planet (though I still much prefer Point Rain). But what I liked the most about this episode is how Krell "pushed" Rex to the limit of his patience (I really felt how badly Rex wanted to blast that jedi's head off if he had the chance ), but he had grace under pressure and his reaction of "calmly disagreeing" with Krell is a good sign with regards to his eventual fate in the series. Seeing what Rex had to go through in this episode now makes me wanna see him go rogue in the end. -

IT WILL STAY HERE. It's a Star Wars ship the way I see it. You simply exercised your right of creative freedom and this is your OWN interpretation of a bounty hunter ship (which is awesome BTW ), so no one can claim that it isn't Star Warsy enough just because some say it doesn't fit in their own strict personal definition of a Star Wars vehicle. Thanks for sharing this and being magnanimous amidst this controversial issue raised. AMEN to that.

This is one entertaining fun build Sava, I've always been amused by these cute Angry Birds. Now it only needs the Yellow, White and 'Big Brother' birds to complete the gang!

MOC : Hong Kong double deck bus - KMB Volvo B9TL with Juicy Couture ad
XimenaPaulina replied to Gaultier's topic in LEGO Town
This is simply a fantastic creation of double-deck buses! And I could very well relate with the ads splashed over the bus' body as I see them everyday when I take my ride to work. I can see you've put on those custom prints seamlessly on the bricks. I had plans of doing this kind of bus also similar to yours and I see you really captured the overall shape and details pretty well. Great job! -

What was the last movie you watched?

One of the best unconventional-formatted movies I've ever seen, I love that film. -
Waaaaahhhhh!!!! What a bloodbath last night! Whindum, Bate, Drakius, Foog all dead! Now that was totally unexpected, maybe I got what I wanted with the seemingly slow pace of the events. Now I need to take a breather to gather my thoughts on this unfortunate and violent chain of events...
